    Leasing for 25 years is such a deal killer for me.
    Especially with solar tech advancing so quickly recently and seemingly more efficient.

      Newer equipment will just make the same electricity in a smaller footprint. That’s all innovation will do for us. We are still making the same thing. I’m still much more for buying the system if you can. We just can’t ignore the majority of people looking for monthly savings and that’s when leasing with batteries makes sense

    Cash is king
    Even with off grid
    Just buy it
    Who cares if you get your payback
    It’s about being free from corporate corruption and government interference

    Julian, I think you left out something very important or I just missed it: Without a battery and in a grid-down situation (China attacks our power grid, storm/earthquake takes out the utility providing the grid, electromagnetic bomb (EMP), ......) you have no power in The Day Time or the night time. With a battery you potentially have both or at least at night. This is hugely important. Most people don't know and salespeople don't tell them that even on a clear beautiful summer day, if the grid goes down, they go down even though they have Kilowatts of electricity being produced on their roof or in their yard. VERY important to know.

      Yes this is true. I explain this to everyone I work with and I have other videos that explain it. This video was more on the financial aspect. Thanks!

      @@Superiorsolarconsulting I understand, I just additionally think that when making a financial leap it is important to know if the battery option (if thats where you land) will provide power when the grid goes down as that substantially favors the battery option(?). Anyway, I send everyone your way or at least to your TH-cams like this one as you tell it like it is and you know so much better than most.

    Best option for everyone in the state of Californian is to move out😂. That is no joke btw.
    For those that refuse to, like myself, the PPA looks quite appealing. I got pitched one with no escalator, .20$ kw compared to the average I pay SCE which came to about .37kw, and we all know thats just going up.
    That included adding about 22-26 panels to my solar array and 2 enphase batteries.
    Im thinking it over as pricing similar systems, even with having my electrician friend install everything is looking like 30-40k….
    I am concerned that this will put me into NEM3.0 as i am currently on NEM2.0. Have you heard of this happening to people?

    Does a PPA without a battery still get the 60% 1st year federal depreciation benefit?

      @Superiorsolarconsulting  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You get none. The company that owns the system gets the depreciation

    I can put a 11.520 kwh
    For less than 5000.00
    With a duel fuel 10,000 watt generator added, 6000 bucks.
    If your a city slicker yes these avenues are your best choice. But if you live anywhere with a yard and direct sun. DIY, study, watch Will Prowse,. You'll save 10Xs the money. You
    Can buy a 3000watt 24v system for under 2500.00 bucks.

    What are your thoughts on the durability of the other parts of the Enphase system: gateway, envoy, combiner, etc? Those are warrantied for like 5-10years?

    What's your opinion of using Big Battery Ethos 48v solution that is UL listed (so usable in California). 30 Kwh w/inverter for $16K? It's significantly less expensive than all the major brand names.

    My solar + battery quotes still have the monthly loan payment as lower than my utility bill - does this change your assumptions?

    • @Superiorsolarconsulting
      @Superiorsolarconsulting  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Every situation will differ slightly although there is a lot of trickery and manipulation in presenting proposals which can make the price of projects look less and cover more of your bill than they really will. The solar payment may be less than your existing bill, but your leftover electric bill may be quite a bit larger than they’re making. You think it will be which will combine and therefore put you in a cash flow negative situation in the short term. If you would like I can take a look at everything for you and even give you a competing bid to see if the system you’re being quoted is really even what you need. 760-473-5878.

    I’m only going to be in my current home for 3-5 years maximum, potentially less. The PPA agreement with no battery saves me almost 30% per month in Illinois. Seems like a no brainer no go with the PPA before net metering goes away in 2025. Am i missing something?

    • @Superiorsolarconsulting
      @Superiorsolarconsulting  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No home value increase. Could be a hassle to transfer it. A paid off system may cost more now but will leave more money in your pocket when it’s all said and done

    Would you be able to do a breakdown for the prepaid ppa? I work for sunrun and we offer the prepaid ppa as our recommended cash option in CA for the ppa that allows homeowners to bypass the annual escalator.
