Hell, the Zero series takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting, which was almost directly caused by the Maverick Virus, which Zero quite literally IS. You could almost say he's already caused an apocalypse.

Except X isn't a Reploid. Reploid stands for "Replicated Android" and is modeled off X's infrastructure. X is the last Robot made by Dr. Light and Zero is Wily's last creation with the Code DWN-∞

There's a joke going around the internet that this is what Zero looked like under the armor, and the old design is him with it and the new one is him without it.
The idea I've heard is that Reploid designs became more humanlike over time, with X and Zero getting upgrades, hence why X's body looks identical to Copy X.
Omega zero is really Omega a reploid made by Dr. Weil that you encounter many times during Zero 3, and in the final battle he challenges you with Zero's original body. Look up the rest in the wiki
This is actually a sprite rendition of X1 zero or Proto-zero before he was rebuilt in X2. It just so happens that it has been used as a xstyled Omega Zero, but Omega Zero didnt have shoulders like that or those "fat" legs.
@ShadowdaHedgie11 Ryota Ito (Series Director for the MMZ series) says that the original story board idea for Omega was that Zero's original body still contained the Maverick programming created by Wily and that said side of Zero's personality took control of the original body once Zero's mind was removed from it. Though he also says you can make your own conclusions since the issue isn't discussed in game.

You know i thought of a concept similar to this for a MegaMan 12 where 1 for most of the game you have MegaMan,Bass,Protoman and Roll as playable characters but when a middled stage happens MegaMan gets captured and it leads to the wily stages but at the final stage after fighting the final wily machine Wily says "this is not the end i have a another trick"and boom a buster shot comes and it is reveal as a MegaMan hovering from the air and with a reddish aura similar to awekaned Zero in Mega Man X5 this is where Wily put a nearly completed version of the virus for Zero and MegaMan is using it and the fight he would use the buster like attack from Zero in X5 and Zero 3/ZX and some of moves similar to Copy X in zero 1 and 3 and X from X5 aswell as every special weapon from the MegaMan Classic Games(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 even MegaMan and bass) until you beat him and he explodes(pretty much killing MegaMan)(oh the fight theme would be this or another)and the end credits would be a sad remix of the MegaMan 2 opening it shows Roll and ProtoMan looking sad as the leave the base Bass just looking away while holding the only remain of MegaMan(his helmet) and the last shots of the ending we would see Dr light going into a room(this is the room where he is making X) and the final after credits scene would be Wily saying "the time has come my ultimate creation to finish you hahahaha!!" And we would see the flash of a blue gem and its Zero pretty epic idea

Inti-Creates was given a lot of freedom from Capcom, and Inafune was more than willing to accept Zero's initial designs (which was VERY similar to the X series design), but it was changed over the course of time because Nakayama thought the public should be able to visually tell the series apart right away.

Yea, you are probably right on the wording, as it's one of my flaw's. I generally type and say what's on my mind, though for at least the typing, i should work on re-reading and moving the words a bit, probably. As for those that care so much for the series, ever since i was a little kid and first played Megaman X, i've enjoyed it. Back then, it was more for fun, but as i got older and more mature, i started to learn the story, and found it fascinating. I'd say more but i'm out of space.
@SuperSketch008 I suppose you're right, since Weil keeps referring to him as the Original Zero (and perhaps not because of his body), but whereas Copy X said something along the lines of "This is something the Original X could never create, only "I" could do this!" is where I feel Copy X and Omega would differ. You still have to remember that Copy X came from a completely different creator, thus their ideals and concepts are somewhat different. Copy X was his own being; Omega was Weil's puppet.

Okay, here's what I think, Zero's look from MegaMan Zero is the body he's in, while Omega Zero is supposed to look like Zero's body from the X series, but they just put the appearance from the Zero series so they didn't have to sprite the X series appearance of Zero.

It's like how many different artists have their own renditions of the characters from the Bible, but the story itself is still the same. Same case here.

Yea, you are probably right on the wording, as it's one of my flaw's. I generally type and say what's on my mind, though for at least the typing, i should work on re-reading and moving the words a bit, probably. As for those that care so much for the series, ever since i was a little kid and first played Megaman X, i've enjoyed it. Back then, it was more for fun, but as i got older and more mature, i started to learn the story, and found it fascinating. I'd say more but i'm out of space.

I suppose you're right, since Weil keeps referring to him as the Original Zero (and perhaps not because of his body), but whereas Copy X said something along the lines of "This is something the Original X could never create, only "I" could do this!" is where I feel Copy X and Omega would differ. You still have to remember that Copy X came from a completely different creator, thus their ideals and concepts are somewhat different. Copy X was his own being; Omega was Weil's puppet.

Wouldn't Omega just look like Zero did in the X series? I mean, Omega's body is the original Zero's body. If anything, copy Zero would look different, because while his, uh, mind is the original Zero's, the body is a copy.
Supposedly they wanted to do that, but GBA limitations wouldn't let them.
@@NEETKitten you mean having Omega look like X era Zero? That could have been neat, but I think it makes enough sense for Omega to look like Zero era Zero (this sentence bothers me, but whatever.) After all, Zero could have gotten upgrades that made him look like that since X8.

@ShadowdaHedgie11 Well he IS Zero's original body, and technically Zero's original programing since Zero was originally programed as a somewhat homicidal psychopath to kill Megaman or Megaman X. So I guess it makes sense.
Okay, here's what I think, Zero's look from MegaMan Zero is the body he's in, while Omega Zero is supposed to look like Zero's body from the X series, but they just put the appearance from the Zero series so they didn't have to sprite the X series appearance of Zero.

@ChaosZero102 No, it's just Zero's body. Zero's programming gets moved from his old body to his new one somehow. That's basically what they mean when they say Zero's 'heart' is in his new body, which makes him the true Zero.
@sounghungi No, it is Zero's original body. The only reason it doesn't look the same as the Zero in X, is because this is Inti-Creates' unique Zero design. It's like how many different artists have their own renditions of the characters from the Bible, but the story itself is still the same. Same case here.

In my beliefs, I believe he murdered Wily and the robot masters including Megaman and then light heard about it and started to make a new type of Robot, X
@metaXzero I actually remember seeing some concept art for Omega showing him in MMX style; shoulder-blocks, booblights and everything. Seems to have been scrapped though.

Messiah is a term that Omega Zero uses during the fight. I'm not sure, but it's related to Zero's status as a legendary reploid.
@ShadowdaHedgie11 yeah of course that doesn't mean Zero's ORIGINAL programming from when he was first built wasn't in Omega, considering how Omega is to quote Weil "a bloodthirsty God of Destruction" Zero's original programming was like that of a homicidal psychopath. so the original form of Zero when he was first awoken was psychotic, as evidenced in his brutal beating of Sigma in the X4 flashback. that's what I mean when I said that Omega may have Zero's original programming.

@metaXzero Actually, both Zero's are identical to the MMX Zero. It's just a different art style, apparantly. Kinda like how if a manga changed artists. It's still the same characters, and the universe still looks exactly the same if you're actually IN said 'universe', so while the art style has changed, Zero's 'real' apperance, as it were, hasn't. I probably didn't really explain that well...

@CSLK6 The Zero from the MMZ series and the Zero from the MMX series are one and the same, just different art style, which is why he looks so different.
If Omega Zero was a playable character...I guess he would be too badass to even be defeated.
