Thanks for all these tips. I only practice on Reelsskin & myself, my last tattoo I tried a 14rl. I'm also trying to teach myself how to not ride the tube. A little scarring, but not having ink everywhere is so much better. More practice... Hope all is well, take it easy.
Have used a round shader to pull thick bold lines, adjusting hand speed and voltage depending on the skin along with the angle in which the machine is held.
Round shader bro thats what i use for bold, thick lines, the biggest liner i use is a 9rl anything bigger and i jumped to a RS 👍 I’ll even use a .12 instead of bugpins helps out a little bit as well!
I think there is another method, which is to place one line next to the other using a round shader like a 1207RS to get the bold line,, thanks a lot for share those tips!!!
I like a 14 round shader or 10 hallow liner I love those hallowliner u need to make a video not on round shader everyone know to torch a liner to make a shader but hallow liners no one speaks of
Dude you're work and videos are super great and informative! I love watching the vids you make even tho I'm not doing real skin yet,I hope to one day be confident enough to do something on a client. They are all waiting to be inked by me but can keep waiting! I'm still learning. Been learning and researching for years, like since I was 20, 43 now and not ready still.
I used a trash Amazon machine with a 3.5 stroke and my lines came out fat af with a 9rl. Now I use the Bishop Wand Packer with the 4.2 stroke and I get skinny but scarred lines. A 14rs gives me the same lineweight as a 9rl with the cheap 3.5 stroke machine. It's like this machine is cursed for me. I even lowered my volts to like 4.7v but I still get a bunch of scarring with the Packer. Hand speed is pretty slow but depth is correct. It's kinda fucked.
My traditional tattoo was done done with straight liner. The line came out super sharp and clean. Round shaders tend to heal a bit fuzzy.
For me, i personaly use a 9, 11 or 14 rs to make my bold line with my bishop wand Liner, and its perfect, solid and clean every single time!
Aren’t RSs only for shading?
@@serialcerealkillerdoe1349 if youre consistent enough you can make some pretty bold lines with a shader!
I used a round shader on myself for two leg tatts & they came out amazing

just started my apprenticeship 2 weeks ago and your channel has been tremendous!
RS for thick lines!!! Great video!!!
Yesssss I’ve been waiting on this video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thank you guys
I would like to add black claw best needles for the old school trad stuff.
Answer to the question instead of using a Liner you can use a round shader for thicker lines
Brandon is a straight gem 💎🌟
Thanks for the tip

Round shader to do thick lines too
Yo best channel in the game!

Depending on the size of the line I would use a round shader and choose the appropriate needle size. I
I’ve used a round shader to get the thick lines
What brand carts do you recommend?
Round shader of course or a small mag
A great second choice would be a round shader (perhaps with 1 level of needles less. Eg: 14RL -> 11RS)
I like to use a 12 9RS for nice bold thicker lines or a 11 RL
Round shader?
Use a shader Awesome vids like always

A 12 curved mag what do you think
Round shaders, for old school i use alot of 11RS, but one thing tho, the lines dosen't get as sharp to look at, often they get a bit more blurry.
I'd use a 5mg to get thicker lines..yes or no?
round shader 11
Have you ever lined with a mag? People say you can't. That's bullshit. I do it for line sculpting a lot.
Hi im from philippnes
To answer the question I’m assuming you’re talking about a round shader with the similar diameter to the line you’re pulling 🧐🧐
