There are many soo generous Kuwaiti locals from my neighborhood. I know 4 families helping generously to Africa, Yemen, The Philippines and other Asian countries. They are rich families but low profile and very kind to the needy and are always willing to help to those countries who are in need.
Because the west constantly keeps showing the Arab and Muslims in a negative light, it came as a surprise to them. The truth is something they don’t want to show in mainstream media.
I'll be one to say it as I've heard a fair few times over the years about Kuwaits hospitality. And it is amazing to see it here! Since I don't see many comments saying it here Ill be one ofthe first, It's from islam this level of kindness. What an awesome person as well as their whole group!

the thing that moves in the Kuwait tower used to be a very good idea and used wisely because in the past there used to be a resturant tables where it spins slowly hence why it moves very slowly, they want you to enjoy the view from all 360 degrees while eating and sitting at the table and thats why its slow, so you could eat & drink with no disturbance at all even though youre moving around.
That passport and bag thing happened with me, and I'm Kuwaiti. I'm sorry you had to go through it, and I'm glad you didn't let it change your perspective ♥
It happened with me too. One of the officers was really kind and explained to us that it’s just a check for any suspicious items that don’t appear on the X-ray.
How much fun! Wish I knew you guys were going to Kuwait, could have given you a great list of places to go. Try to search places in Arabic, use google translate you will find so much more information. Kuwait has SUPER glam places that would knock your socks off. Even some احضري kuwaitis of indian heritage have an older presence then some arab kuwaitis from najd backgrounds. i.e there are a number of kuwaiti nationals who were born in saudi & even some whose parents did not originally have aljinsiya kuwaitiya yet they acquired such through was6a. My father(kuwaiti) knows a guy whose father worked for alsaba7 family yet his son lives in wales & has the offer to recieve jinsiyyah kuwaitiya 'bimaada oula'( which even some arab kuwaitis do not have) i.e he could vote in an election etc. & this man he told me does not even speak a word of arabic or knew of any arabs in kuwait from the original families LOL. Me myself Working in an immigration office here in I find it fascinating & really strange half the time kuwaitis(citizens) live oustide in Europe in their 2nd homes

i’m kuwaiti and i’m always so happy to see people come and visit this country. there are many places that you didn’t visit that are amazinggg like the avenues mall, 360 mall, assima mall and many other shops and restaurants! honestly, i haven’t even been to half of the great places here and i’ve lived here all my life! you guys should definitely visit again and see other places. i’d recommend coming back during the winter though since much more coffee shops open up, and we have a theme park (winter wonderland) which is basically one of people’s favourite spot to go to!

i’m kuwaiti and i’m always so happy to see people come and visit this country. there are many places that you didn’t visit that are amazinggg like the avenues mall, 360 mall, assima mall and many other shops and restaurants! honestly, i haven’t even been to half of the great places here and i’ve lived here all my life! you guys should definitely visit again and see other places. i’d recommend coming back during the winter though since much more coffee shops open up, and we have a theme park (winter wonderland) which is basically one of people’s favourite spot to go to!
