I'm Filipino American and stopped over in Kuwait City on my way from Asia to London. Loved it there, the locals are so nice. They should get more tourists, such a nice country.

It’s best to visit Kuwait December through February perhaps even early March. When the weather is cooler and you can walk around outside and enjoy walks in Al-Shaheed park.
There are many soo generous Kuwaiti locals from my neighborhood. I know 4 families helping generously to Africa, Yemen, The Philippines and other Asian countries. They are rich families but low profile and very kind to the needy and are always willing to help to those countries who are in need.
I'll be one to say it as I've heard a fair few times over the years about Kuwaits hospitality. And it is amazing to see it here! Since I don't see many comments saying it here Ill be one ofthe first, It's from islam this level of kindness. What an awesome person as well as their whole group!

I really enjoyed your first impressions of Kuwait. I spent many many years in Kuwait in the field of construction. The generosity of your new friend was, in fact, very typical and it is good that you shared your experiences. It is a fascinating country and has been spared some of the excesses of its local neighbours. It is a year since I finally left the country and your video brought memories flooding back.
Because the west constantly keeps showing the Arab and Muslims in a negative light, it came as a surprise to them. The truth is something they don’t want to show in mainstream media.

I’m Hispanic and dated a Kuwaiti. I was beyond surprised how loving and hospitable the men are. I learned to love their culture , language, music and everything. They will give everything to the people they love or care for, or nonetheless strangers.
the thing that moves in the Kuwait tower used to be a very good idea and used wisely because in the past there used to be a resturant tables where it spins slowly hence why it moves very slowly, they want you to enjoy the view from all 360 degrees while eating and sitting at the table and thats why its slow, so you could eat & drink with no disturbance at all even though youre moving around.
That passport and bag thing happened with me, and I'm Kuwaiti. I'm sorry you had to go through it, and I'm glad you didn't let it change your perspective ♥
It happened with me too. One of the officers was really kind and explained to us that it’s just a check for any suspicious items that don’t appear on the X-ray.

i’m kuwaiti and i’m always so happy to see people come and visit this country. there are many places that you didn’t visit that are amazinggg like the avenues mall, 360 mall, assima mall and many other shops and restaurants! honestly, i haven’t even been to half of the great places here and i’ve lived here all my life! you guys should definitely visit again and see other places. i’d recommend coming back during the winter though since much more coffee shops open up, and we have a theme park (winter wonderland) which is basically one of people’s favourite spot to go to!

I've been to Kuwait for work three times and never had any issues with my bags at the airport. So I'm guessing you were just unlucky! I too found it a very warm and welcoming place. Colleages would bring fresh dates to the office for me. Also loved the cardamon tea! Don't start me on the hummous! 😊
Love your videos on Kuwait, as a Londoner myself who moved here 7 years ago for work (planned to stay for 2 years, fell in love with the place and don't plan to leave!) Your initial impressions were bang on, and it was great to see you going to all the places that I think I visited in my first two weeks here, including Beit Dickson which remains one of favourite restaurants. You sum it up perfectly, some say there's nothing to do, but when you scratch the surface you find plenty!

Even some احضري kuwaitis of indian heritage have an older presence then some arab kuwaitis from najd backgrounds. i.e there are a number of kuwaiti nationals who were born in saudi & even some whose parents did not originally have aljinsiya kuwaitiya yet they acquired such through was6a. My father(kuwaiti) knows a guy whose father worked for alsaba7 family yet his son lives in wales & has the offer to recieve jinsiyyah kuwaitiya 'bimaada oula'( which even some arab kuwaitis do not have) i.e he could vote in an election etc. & this man he told me does not even speak a word of arabic or knew of any arabs in kuwait from the original families LOL. Me myself Working in an immigration office here in I find it fascinating & really strange half the time kuwaitis(citizens) live oustide in Europe in their 2nd homes

@MahrusSharif alhamdulillah, well, im sure u would knw obviously the 3yam & indians have a long history with kuwait since before even the english arrived. Even some احضري kuwaitis of indian heritage have an older presence then some arab kuwaitis from najd backgrounds. i.e there are a number of kuwaiti nationals who were born in saudi & even some whose parents did not originally have aljinsiya kuwaitiya yet they acquired such through was6a.
My father(kuwaiti) knows a guy whose father worked for alsaba7 family yet his son lives in wales & has the offer to recieve jinsiyyah kuwaitiya 'bimaada oula'( which even some arab kuwaitis do not have) i.e he could vote in an election etc. & this man he told me does not even speak a word of arabic or knew of any arabs in kuwait from the original families LOL.
Me myself Working in an immigration office here in I find it fascinating & really strange half the time kuwaitis(citizens) live oustide in Europe in their 2nd homes
All Kuwaities 🇰🇼 are this way, and all the gulf ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 rich and very very insisting for generosity. ❤️
