This is the most comprehensive, tangible, and effective video on EQ I've seen yet. Mr. Park's bright future will benefit the world, and the world could create a bright future of its own by listening to him and working with him.
This world really needs you, Max! Thanks for the presentation. It makes me glad to be alive and more respectful of the teen-age experience. "Silent crisis." That's it!
Thank you for addressing this crucial topic through the eyes of a young man! I remember catastrophizing when I was a teen. You are a very amazing speaker.
He's learnt what many of us have been searching for, some for most of their lives without realising, imagine if this kind of content was made more available in schools, it took therapy for me to come across this and has changed my life
I train early learning teachers (birth to third grade) and am working hard on promoting social-emotional learning. This video is a great illustration for them on what the outcomes could be if we would prioritize building these skills as early as possible. Thank you for sharing and I'm so thrilled you were able to discover this so early in life and that you're spreading the word now!
This is great! I'm teaching Social Edge: Brain-Based EQ classes in my community right now and am seeing a tremendous difference in the kids! Trying to find ways to get this program out to more communities.

Key words early on in first 5-1/2minutes "...learning in a SAFE environment." Sadly, when the school environment has toxic issues like at Acacia Middle School in Hemet, CA., the will to learn, be positive, try harder, stay true to yourself is compromised, especially when staff sweeps issues under the rug. The child changes to a state of fight or flight and becomes emotionally damaged. School should not have that kind of power. Then, the child is now looked at like a monster, he feels like a monster, feels misunderstood, feels he has to be "tough" and loses his sense to care for his future. It can get THAT bad if not caught to prevent or remedy in time. How many of our youth have geared paths due to similar situations even though the HOME environment is nothing less than positive & nurturing.
This is Sooo much needed at school across the nation. If kids are teach emotional intelligence young maybe a lot of life's would be safe. Thank you for this video. And please continue to help young kids, they really need someone like you. .💙
Mahmoud Godat. Those new generations have their own expression to tell the others what is going on in their minds it`s a great expression I enjoyed. Videos like this will help many people to understand what is Emotional Intelligence (EI).
Emotional intelligence helps you build stronger relationships, succeed at school and work, and achieve your career and personal goals. It can also help you to connect with your feelings, turn intention into action, and make informed decisions about what matters most to you.
Today I got to know thaI how Indian gods help us. When we desire for one who loves us we get Lord Krishna and Rama who is loved by everyone, when we desire for anyone to guide us there is Lord Krishna guiding us as Arjuna defeated by his own emotions in the land of war of Mahabharata before fighting and when we someone to destroy the negative energy of ours there is Lord Shiva , The destroyer. Hare Krishna! Hare Rama! Namah Parvati Pataye Har Har Mahadev! May God takes every positive and negative effects and make us zero, neutral, "the eternal form".
As parents, we need to hear from more teenagers, not from therapists or from other parents. They should tell us how they feel even if we know how we felt when we were teenagers.
Depressions arise if the one ignore the root cause and don't know how to handle nor identify emotion/self awareness. Handling emotion is rational, the innate part in us.
Thank you for doing this talk. I believe that it has the potential for setting many people on a good path. Can you share some of the videos that helped you? I would love to watch some of those as well.
The problem is people think that academics is the most important thing and so teens struggle, which causes the stress. Education system is so inadequate. Some teens need a boot camp. Some need moral learning. Some need hands-on learning. But are these things offered? No hardly at all. They say that's the parents job but school takes up the child+teens life.

eq schooling should be required at colleges in order to obtain a degree because many of us have never heard to EQ. It should also be taught in a parenting class or a childhood development class because children push our buttons.
I don’t know why I have to do this class like I’m just mad at bully’s like why do they bully what do they get if they stop I could have been happy because I don’t know how to do this class so bully’s stop pleaseeeeeee
Julia B. Your response was such a cliche of the typical “mean girl”. I wonder what made such a beautiful young lady so callous towards others that struggle. Being kind to others is so much more attractive.
@@nes286 you know I wasn't being sarcastic with that statement.. maybe you better meet people in real life before you make such rude statements about them.
