@@RockStarOscarStern634 This instrument is truly magnificent, and beyond my understanding. Ms. Mabel Florence is gifted in both engineering knowledge and musicianship. Listening to her describe the maintenance of that facility was inspiring. I'm not sure the Parks department understands the expertise and artistry required of the carillon's player/caretaker. Maybe Priscilla can be contacted to set up more interviews with Ms. Florence! I think she deserves compensation and gratitude for keeping that music alive for the residents and visitors who go there. Atlantans sure are lucky to have that there!
She's fantastic!
Thank you for making this video! We recently visited, but weren't able to see it being played. This was fantastic.
I'm so happy you enjoyed this!
GOD BLESS THE SHARPES.
that is my grandma
Priscilla Noelle Sharp your grandmother is a very wonderful carillon player.
A truly unique & lovely lady. I have been privileged to sit inside with Ms. Sharp
as she played we talked about Atlanta we both remembered
@@christophercotton9048 Where are those bells? And btw it's actually a bell organ.
Oscar Stern a bell organ??
@@christophercotton9048 Yes, because the keyboard is similar to a pipe organ, so it's really a bell organ with 732 bells. Where are all those bells?
Is Mabel still playing ???
Hopefully someone can update us and let us know! I haven't been there since this initial visit.
Shes retired but still alive from talking to friends
@@willharris4429i am her granddaughter and My Name is Priscilla she passed away 3 years ago

What are the list of stops, & what do they do? Because the console looks similar to a Pipe Organ, it's really a Bell Organ.
I wish I knew! Isn't it marvelous?
@@PerilMusic They need to give us a List of all the stops because organists will have fun with this instrument.
