I was playing STALKER and it was the most thrilling game I’ve ever played. Playing at the hardest level kept me alive for 30 seconds on average because at night time you either hide out the zone kills you.
Games with soul always have bugs. Gothic 1-2, Skyrim/Morrowind, Fallout: NV, Vampire: The Masquerade, etc..., all those games have many bugs and are still awesome and legendary!
African STALKER player here.. (Before I go on- it's now internet lore, but Drewski caused an uproar early last year in March when he released a video about Stalker Anomaly/GAMMA that caused the moddb servers to crash because of the influx of new players, and they were offline for like 6-8 hours! 😀 Anyway... much love, Drewski!) It gets hate, but out of the OG 3, "Clear Sky" is my favorite. The "Clear Sky" faction is also my faction of choice, apart from the Mercs and thirdly the Scientists. Oh and- I just love the Swamps! Clear Sky is a faction with a noble purpose to study the zone- while protecting itself against it- militarily, in order to know more of it, and they are friendly with everyone, except Bandits/Renegades, Mercs, and the Military(the Military boils everyone's p__$ anyway). They're friends with Loners, Scientists, Duty, Freedom - all the general factions- and after the road to Pripyat is open and the Brain Scorcher turned off- the Merc faction. They're a well armed-Scientific faction(as oppsoed to the Scientists, who are purely scientific) I've gone back to it, like 12-15 times already since 2008. Modded it extensively and still enjoy it to this day. Only issue I have with it, is that it's a bit on the easier side and the weapons and armor upgrade/modification mechanics are not as good as Call of Pripyat's.
See anomaly/gamma is what brought me to the series but even when I found out that the story isn’t the same as the originals, this then prompted me to get the original 3 games for the lore/vanilla experience that was last year 👌🏼
Yeah, the original games were scary as HELL!! *_shudder_* First item you meet a "Bloodsucker"....poopy panties time, lol But the "Blowouts" especially in the second game, OMG, nothing as existentially terrifying and amazing looking had been in a game!
its going to be cool game... but lets be honest game of the year, can be only wukong, even if monster hanter wilds come out this year(what will not happens) its still going to be wukong.
I know what im playing later, its the world size.... 65/65k 3:18 .... we're just to used to the recycled call of duty garbage... but yeah it does look good

nevermind the fact that their are people making mods for stalker in that same boat, and if it weren't for people like drewski and more importantly mod makers making mods stalker 2 would be coming out in the first place

stalker call of pripyat is an awesome game. been waiting for a new stalker game, glad that it's finally here.
the gunplay is meant to be slow and more realistic with its recoil and damage models. more arma than cod or fallout 4
More *good* is how I call it as an Arma player. I want my gunplay to be about survival and not being rambo
