Highlight of my life was earning that EGA at the top of the Reaper 6 years ago. 5 years later I left the service. There's nothing like it, it was proudest moment of my life. I still can't believe I did it. I get goosebumps still remembering it.
Once I heard “Cedric Smith” I knew who CWO was talking about. He was a company 1stSgt at 3/1 when I was there from 2015-2019. He always was the Marines Marine. He 100% demonstrated all the leadership traits every day I seen him when I was in another company overall.
I love it! 11th Marines in the house! I was in India and Hotel 3/11 back in the old days, 85-89. Keep up the excellent work Marines, I'm really enjoying your podcast. Semper Fi!
I was a CWO 3510 Motor Transport Maintenance Officer in 1/11 from 1993 to 1995. I retired as a CWO5 in 2005. I am a Civil Servant at I MEF G4. I was on active duty from Dec 1976 to Oct 2005. I have been a Civilian Marine from 2005 to Present. I am in year 48. S/F Kevin DeLuca
I applied for 4 years before my selection as a 3510 Warrant Officer. I had to do something because I was about to reach high year tenure as a Sergeant of Marines. Monitor would not release me to Special Duty because MOS 3523 Vehicles Recovery Mechanic was 60% undermanned. 150 packages for 7 selectees. By the Grace of God I was selected in the FY 87 board.
As a medically retired Marine…. I wanted to do 30 years But took the MedBoard due to trash leaders that just wanted to prevent everyone from promotion One marine even took leave to kill himself, the other took pills…..I took a medboard….. Been retired since 2015…wish I could go back in. I can still run a PFT and get 297….im 44 years old. 4 min 12 sec planks…..22 pull-ups…plus a wealth of knowledge….
Please can you guys in the next episode bring up the cpl with the MSM and your opinions if he was rightfully compensated and what other info you guys got from the great vine.
Every generation of Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen always say "its not what it was". Of course its not what it was. Thats common sense. Some people just take their careers, way too far and over analyze way too much.
It’s easier for ppl to talk after they are out. While in , it’s hard to trust. Like man with the hat, mocking those who cry in THIER car .Therapeutic is those looking for help. Not promoting or tryna help the recruiting crisis. Orah.

'For those who is chief amongst you, let him also be your servant." Very important for any leader to remember daily.

There is another pertinent Chinese proverb: "Even the longest walk begins with the first step".
