Thanks for your article I used your part numbers for my 64. Swap went very well with your video. My car is a T5 conversion so did not have any of your difficulty of column shift.. But just show a hot rodder can't work he will show you it will. This is one of the three best things I have done to my Falcon. Sniper EFI, T5 trans and Borgson. Best of luck with your car.
This guy did it the right way. THIS IS ALOT of work for something that was supposed to fit from the get go. 20yrs experience of fab and welding, I'm 2 days in on this show car. He illustrates the Same issue on a full size 63 ford. Called Borgeson first, Josh said" yes it will fit. it'll just pretty much fall together" after I got it the customer service sucks and Josh was real short with me on the phone. THEN told me THEY had never installed one on a full size ford, but "other people have done it" I'm done with borgeson.
I'm doing it for a customer on a 61 full size. And we're just an everyday auto repair shop. The new rag joint location is right where the column shifter needs to be.
Unless your old steering box was shot I'm not sure why you would want power steering. I have a 63 Falcon Futura 2 door sedan manual steering box and even with only a 15" steering wheel it's one of the easiest cars to turn there ever was. But hey to each his own I guess.

Looking forward to starting this project soon on my 65 Ranchero. Going to have to look at the coupler options, haven’t really dived in yet.
Great info thanks for the help. Great hotrodder your the best!

@@mcqueenfanman Was the rag joint installed to isolate the noise coming up the steering shaft from the hydraulics?
@@kloofyroland yeah, noise vibration. We aborted the installation after talking to the customer.

What about electric power steering..just more expensive ?

Don't forget to replace those floor pans.
