Just realized that punz's monologue "Do i betray dream? " could means "Do i go against Dream's plan? " Because he doesnt want to see his friend in jail and get killed.
I really like this interpretation! I like to think based off this that dream values loyalty and trust in him a lot to where punz is thinking both about dream's safety and feelings in his decision about the plan!
Having the unfortunate realization that if Punz and Dream never split up all this time then that means Punz was forced to stand there and watch as one of his closest friends was slaughtered twice in front of him, and couldn’t do anything at risk of endangering the plan.
I love the fact that Punz stood by Dreams side until the end but made it look like he was against him to everyone else, now That's friendship goals right there.
It just makes me sad, realizing that every friend Dream had turned against him except Punz. Even Sapnap and George his “best friends”. That’s why it makes me happy seeing Dreams joy, that he can see his true friend who would never betray him (I hope lol)
I don't think paying punz will deter his loyalty to Dream. I feel like his character is like that character in anime who was always and will always be loyal to the villain.

The thing here is that Dream most likely have used Punz's lack of a bigger audience to fool the ones who don't watch his streams. Dream actually does it so people are forced to give his friends views. This is also why he talked about Jschatt and the book offer in BadboyHalo's stream as something like a foreshadowing. Dream is kinda ingenious in that sense. And Techno is right. He does show up in people's streams ominously. That's also so people support those that would use his name in their vids so they'd get more popular

Make mistakes* Hurting can be a lot of toxic things, you can hurt while making mistakes, but genuine mistakes that they make an effort to - and actually fix - are more I think what you're going for
Honestly, the better option for Punz would’ve been to stick with Dream. Yes Tommy paid him more *that time* - But that was his life savings, and he never hired Punz again afterwards. With Dream, he was paid less for each time, but it was a continuous source of income.
This is amazing! From the dialogue choices to the music choice, from the composition of each frame to the expressions displayed on each character through posing and faces... everything just works really well. Great job on the animatic!

The interaction instantly made me think, hah c!Sapnaps been replaced somewhere else too, lost his lovers, lost c!George to DreamXD and his sleep, and these two acted more like best friends than him and c!Dream now You just do an amazing job at everything you draw/ animate,
Tw//abuse It's so interesting that Dream's character is getting some humanity, before going to torment a child. It's good to address that an abuser can still have friends and have feelings while being a horrible person. This makes Dream so much more believable and it's honestly pretty disturbing.
After the reveal that going to prison was in fact part of the plan, Dream's conversation with Sam after Techno escaped disturbs me more. The entire time Sam talks about how Dream created these conditions for Tommy but it was for himself all along. that conversation gives me a lot to think about after the recent lore.

I think the prison stay was an attempt to generate sympathy from Tommy, artificially redeeming himself in order to worm his way back into Tommy's heart as a "friend" and all the loyalty that position creates.

C!Dream and C!Punz are such mysterious and intriguing characters, it's really cool... The Final Disc Confrontation was staged... They've been working together towards one large plan, we can assume it was the "big happy family" C!Dream so desperately wanted, but the plan was disturbed when c!Sam, the "fair and just" warden allowed c!Quackity to torture his prisoner, which wasn't expected. At all. Wonder where lore is gonna go now, because it's so obvious that c!Dream lost a few screws to c!Q's torture, so are his methods even worse or has his goal changed...? Seriously though, both characters make me sad despite how bad they can be... :(
Rememeber when he was loked in ther with Techno he told Techno that he will have to act scared in front of Big Q so he doesn't suspect anything I don't think he was as affected by the torture as we are lead to belive, sure he is propably pissed the hell off and wants revange, but he is more likely to use it to his advantage , like getting BBH and AntFrost on his side , than let it interfeare in his final goals, notice that he only acted twisted and insane in front of Tommy , he was basicly in the same room as Tubbo and didn't even try to do anything to him, all he wanted from Snowchester was Nightmare Armor I belive that Dream is perfectly sane and that is what makes him so dengerous, he isn't a man driven to maddness like Wilbur or desire for power like Schlatt or greed like Big Q , he is someone with a goal that he is willing to sacrifice everything for even his own life and freedom He doesn't care what people think of him by the end of it or even if he will be alive to see it as long as his goal (whatever it is) is achived

Perhaps he told Techno to act scared because he knew Techno would try to get a rise out of Big Q, and Quackity is a volatile character who enjoys being in control, and he didn't want more violence becoming them? Techno is the type that doesn't like to show how much things get to him, for example Tommy's betrayal. Techno had the same reaction to Tommy as he did to the torture before Phil teleported him out (screaming, shortness of breath, frantic movements and speech, signs of panic and great upset) and if the invincible "Blood God" is terrified of the possible danger, we have no proof that Dream wasn't. However, we have - as minimal as it is - proof that Dream was scared and bothered: 1. He'd scream when the torture occured (from Antfrost's stream, BBH said it, and I believe that Sam and Big Q were coordinating when to perform the torture sessions to then gaslight BBH), and BBH said that when he'd go in to give Dream food properly (because we have proof that Sam was withholding food without reason), the prisoner would be shoved in the far corner shaking. The screaming is also important because Dream had no clue that anyone but Quackity (who we know to be unbothered by the screaming anyway) would even _hear_ his screaming, so the chances that it could have been a manipulation tactic are immediately scratched. 2. He willingly bent to Quackity's "rules", addressing him as 'sir', likely to limit damage done to his body 3. He weaponised the trauma he suffered to make it seem like not that big of a deal, as if to establish dominance over Sapnap and Tommy and Tubbo, but never mentioned it to Punz (his ally) because Punz would force him to acknowledge how messed up it was 4. He seemed upset when Techno told him to leave after the prison break, perhaps because Techno protected him, and having that loss of support that aided him in a bad time was damaging to him - this was nearly directly before Tommy, with Punz's visit in between, so we could think that the clashing emotions of sadness, disappointment, betrayal with happiness, relief, euphoria may have sent him on an adrenaline high that momentarily destroyed his emotional perception. Plus, if you consider it, Tommy was _technically_ the one who placed him in the prison, even if it was planned. As a trauma response, he likely blames Tommy for the torture, and therefore acts insane (either sonsciously or subconsciously) to intimidate the "threat". 5. He nearly told Tommy of the plan by saying "they had to lock me up in a prison built just for me!" We can infer that, based on the secretive way Punz kept the plan hidden from the rest of the server and how Dream has from everyone else, he hadn't meant to tell Tommy and let it slip in his insane rambling. 6. Dream’s “it was only- it wasn’t supposed to be… like that.” Hints that the torture wasn't supposed to happen, so he couldn't mentally prepare (I say that end part because he has strong mental will, but this torture definitely did _something_ negative to him, and not just physically). Therefore, I don't think that Dream is perfectly sane, and I will admit I'm a little tired of seeing the primariy "C!Dream bad, all manipulation, no good, not morally grey like it has been written to look like" and the fact we have no lore of his perspective anymore so we can't know what he's thinking apart from educated inferences using hints and clues from other povs and lore streams and third party statements about what he did, why he did, conditions he lived through, etc. So, I do believe that the torture got to him, but your arguments are interesting and I enjoy to debate, and this is all meant as /nm, this isn't supposed to come across as hostile and I apologise if it did :)

He'd scream when the torture occured (from Antfrost's stream, BBH said it, and I believe that Sam and Big Q were coordinating when to perform the torture sessions to then gaslight BBH), and BBH said that when he'd go in to give Dream food properly (because we have proof that Sam was withholding food without reason), the prisoner would be shoved in the far corner shaking. The screaming is also important because Dream had no clue that anyone but Quackity (who we know to be unbothered by the screaming anyway) would even _hear_ his screaming, so the chances that it could have been a manipulation tactic are immediately scratched.
2. He willingly bent to Quackity's "rules", addressing him as 'sir', likely to limit damage done to his body
3. He weaponised the trauma he suffered to make it seem like not that big of a deal, as if to establish dominance over Sapnap and Tommy and Tubbo, but never mentioned it to Punz (his ally) because Punz would force him to acknowledge how messed up it was
4. He seemed upset when Techno told him to leave after the prison break, perhaps because Techno protected him, and having that loss of support that aided him in a bad time was damaging to him - this was nearly directly before Tommy, with Punz's visit in between, so we could think that the clashing emotions of sadness, disappointment, betrayal with happiness, relief, euphoria may have sent him on an adrenaline high that momentarily destroyed his emotional perception. Plus, if you consider it, Tommy was _technically_ the one who placed him in the prison, even if it was planned. As a trauma response, he likely blames Tommy for the torture, and therefore acts insane (either sonsciously or subconsciously) to intimidate the "threat".
5. He nearly told Tommy of the plan by saying "they had to lock me up in a prison built just for me!" We can infer that, based on the secretive way Punz kept the plan hidden from the rest of the server and how Dream has from everyone else, he hadn't meant to tell Tommy and let it slip in his insane rambling.
6. Dream’s “it was only- it wasn’t supposed to be… like that.” Hints that the torture wasn't supposed to happen, so he couldn't mentally prepare (I say that end part because he has strong mental will, but this torture definitely did _something_ negative to him, and not just physically).
Therefore, I don't think that Dream is perfectly sane, and I will admit I'm a little tired of seeing the primariy "C!Dream bad, all manipulation, no good, not morally grey like it has been written to look like" and the fact we have no lore of his perspective anymore so we can't know what he's thinking apart from educated inferences using hints and clues from other povs and lore streams and third party statements about what he did, why he did, conditions he lived through, etc. So, I do believe that the torture got to him, but your arguments are interesting and I enjoy to debate, and this is all meant as /nm, this isn't supposed to come across as hostile and I apologise if it did :)

He's a mercenary, whenever he kills someone DreamXD gets their soul. At least I'm assuming he does, there's not really another god to receive them is there? At least not a truly immortal one.
