I completely understand why you felt the need to take a step back from teaching. I am not a teacher, but I developed M.E.chronic fatigue some thirty years ago and with two young children and a broken marriage I really don't know how I survived! After working at several part time jobs for a few years I decided I couldn't go on, so I stopped! Life was tough but I managed to complete a degree and write two books. Now I choose to live very quietly and am slowly return ing to art. I follow you and am subs cribed. You are doing the right thing Gamma and are a complete natural on screen. Well done!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It sounds like you've been through a lot, but You've achieved so much with you degree and two books! I know how difficult M.E is to live with, and a quiet life is definitely the best way to manage it. I hope you enjoy your slow return to art!

Oh Gemma. Great decision. Great teachers are hard to find, so with you feeling less stressed around your hours at school, I'm sure your kids will get the best of you! Congrats and looking forward to seeing everything! x Nell.

You are very wise putting your mental health first and working in education part time. Having worked full time for 27 years in education, I understand the terrible toll it takes on our lives. It’s not just the teaching, it’s the hours spent planning, prepping for the day and not to mention the politics involved with parents and administrators. I burned out and rediscovered my love for art. Being creative is so good for our souls. I am happy to see your back and look forward to anything you present. Be well.

Thank you so much 🥰 Working in education is all consuming. I'm so glad you've rediscovered your creativity, it's just a shame it took burning out to find it.

I’d wondered where you got to, it’s great that you’re putting your mental health first! Also so sad that this is what it’s come to for many teachers, my friend moved to the UAE and is teaching there and said she would never come back to Britain to teach because of how hard it is 🥺❤️❤️

It's a really sad state of affairs here, the UAE is definitely appealing! Going part time has been so positive already 🥰

@@GemmaMorganArt that’s great to hear ☺️ it’s honestly something to consider, it’s a fantastic place to live and the workload is a lot less, you get free hours during the day with barely any paperwork, plus healthcare, the rent and bills are paid for and teachers don’t pay tax ❤️
