If you use the other boot on the shifter you will find it easier. I'm size 10 and my boots do it easy. Stock pegs. Maybe it's because you are new to riding.
I had off road boots so they are quite thick, I’m not new to riding, the gear shifter was definitely set up to low, I’ve not found this problem on other bikes I’ve rode. It’s an easy fix by adjusting the shifter position up.
Yeah, I agree. I would have to take some situations a little slower or avoid. I’m looking for something faster on the roads but still capable off road, I’m also looking at the KTM 390 ADV but know I would have to mod both bikes to make it better off road. The bigger ADVs aren’t really an option due to my height and weight, I wouldn’t be able to pick them up very easily if at all without help. I like to ride solo sometimes so a smaller bike is better suited. Saying that- I’m up for a challenge.
@@nrdbikes Everyone in the community knows this challenge. The 300L is (nearly) unique. The 450L is an option - but with much more maintenance. Other options are also a lot more costly, and too high. Maybe the Beta Alp 4.0 is the perfect pitch for you? Less weight, maybe lower, an the DR350 engine has a bit more power... But in my opinion - besides the Autobahn - you can conceal the beauty spot of low hp with a spark of madness and in every other fact the 300L is perfect.

I'll suggest, if you get the bike, Sidi Adventure boots to make it easier to shift.

It’s a test bike so all stock except the rear pannier racks I believe.
Driving the GS Offroad - your (team) style - would be "a little bit" challenging
