2 years with an iPhone, have confirmed that iPhone is great ( Build quality, Speakers, Chip, Screen) but iOS is too restrictive and incomplete for me. I wouldn't choose 15 Pro Max only for videos. Since I DGAF about Ecosystem too, S24 Ultra is my choice without a doubt.

Luckily everyone has a choice and buys what they like based on OS preference or the hardware. iOS is great for more simplicity and app support, the hardware is superb and the ecosystem works better for most and the consistent updates from Apple to all supported devices at the same time are a plus.
Samsung has come a long way with hardware and updates but certain aspects of Android still hold it back because if the number of different Android devices needing to be supported or requiring other provisions and this is why Apple gets so much hate.
Apples ecosystem not integrating with Android devices and the lack of a real multitask function or customization or device freedom is where Apple gets hate. Apple wants to ensure a seamless integration experience and has always been this way but is slowly evolving to a more open platform 🤞

@@gojo4808 A lot of people love and use and talk about Samsung Ecosystem and i could totally buy and use a Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Tab but i don't like tablets and i love mechanical watches. I have had iPad and Galaxy Tab in the past: it's not for me. I use my iPhone with a Windows 💻, a Nothing Phone(1), my Bose QC45.
My phones are the devices i always first: MAIN device.
Full brand ecosystem will always be a "nice to have" for me. I just compare phones and only phones together.

Came to the 15 Pro Max from the 11, and before that, the Note 4. Now looking for the first opportunity to get back to Samsung. I've grown blind to how much I miss android after being with IOS for so long. Here's my personal list of reasons for the switch: I hate waiting on apple's animation, even with motion dialed down. I also hate waiting for apps to finish doing something instead of them being able to run in the background. I also prefer android keyboards, customization, T9 dialer, speed dial, cursor movement, no swiping after screen unlock, home screen setup, file management, text copying, back button, home screen layout, ultra fast charging, in-app settings, in-app notification settings, notifications, widgets, google assistant, ultra low power mode, scheduled text messages, dex, and higher screen brightness for bright sunny days. The only thing I could see myself missing about my iphone is native encrypted messaging, but the use case for me is limited. Can't wait to switch back to android.

Instantly fell in love with where android is today and I was having fun again. Every year iPhone to iPhone felt the same, upgrading didn't have any excitement anymore. What I missed more than anything from iPhone was the ability to quick swipe on the bottom of the screen to quickly swipe back-and-forth between screens. That’s simple ultrafast gesture I found more useful than any multitasking on android. I missed it so much.

However, I think iphone being unable to do tasks and be as compact device of all the features and such for their prices is a crime ar this stage. I'm on iphone 15 pro max and I always complain about the iOs which compared to android is prehistoric. However. As said here, it's still a great phone for different type of users, so everyone can find their own field whether choosing iphone or Samsung.

The fact that almost no 'Tech Reviewer' was even dead serious about the massive Overheating and Battery Issues, on first, the 14 Pro Max and then now on the 15 Pro Max tells you all you need to know about these people.
My own 14 Pro Max for the first 4-5 months was a pain in the ass to use.
The battery drained like crazy. iOS 16 had sooooooooooooo many bugs. It overheated whilst making calls on 5G, or watching anything [like TH-cam or Netflix].
Had the same issues with my Pixel 7 Pro as well.
But my S22 Ultra is the King.
Awesome Battery Life, crazy-fast snappy performance, no bugs or slowdowns whatsoever, [have 2-3 GoodLock Modules (Registart etc) that are permanently running in the background], no overheating, nothing.
But, everybody right up to MKBHD, railed against the Pixel 7 Series, but didn't utter a single word about the issues plaguing 14 Pros and 15 Pros.

Look, I'm not here to downplay Samsung-it's an impressive device with great specs on paper, and Android allows for more customization. But let's not ignore why Apple dominates year after year. It’s not just about hardware; it’s about the whole ecosystem. The way iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch sync seamlessly is something Samsung can’t replicate. Not to mention, iOS is optimized for performance and simplicity, which is why it doesn’t need to overload on RAM just to keep up. Apple's focus on privacy and security is another reason people stick with it-some of us actually care about that. And when things do go wrong, Apple’s customer service and support are leagues ahead. So, sure, Samsung has its advantages, but don’t act like specs alone make it 'superior.' There’s a reason people keep coming back to iPhone, and it’s not because we’re clueless-it’s because the user experience just works

    • @navixaxa5023
      @navixaxa5023 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@mikejack9733 I'd say 2 things in response.
Firstly, I didn't bring up the Spec Sheet.
Secondly, on the Ecosystem aspect, as someone who owns almost all Apple products since 2008-ish, I'd say Samsung is very, very close to Apple's Ecosystem.
Of course, Samsung has [like Apple] tried keeping some available only on Galaxy devices [like a Galaxy Book and Samsung Tab etc] but Phone Link and Quick Share work wonderfully. On any device [except for the latter].
I regularly 'AirDrop'/ aka Quick Share stuff between my S22 Ultra and XPS 13 Plus, and sometimes between my Gaming PC and the Samsung.
      It works just as well.
      Link Share is even better.
And Phone Link has been doing what Apple cannot do even now [like Phone Mirroring (which Apple is bringing now with iOS 18, when we've been doing that for more than 6-7 years if I'm not mistaken].
And as for the Services, it is just that Apple's Service Centers are more fancy ]and more widespread because of their market-share], but they're hella expensive anyways.
So, at least for me, whatever this Windows-Android Ecosystem is, it is on par with Apple's.
My Photos get Synced via Google Drive and Photos, my Notes with OneNote and Obsidian, and I use a Password-Manager, so there is literally nothing that gets left out.

@@mikejack9733very true. But I’ve been on iPhone for some time now, (6-6s-10xr-11-13-14pro and now 15 pro max. Everything between was android like gs8-note10-s22ultra) so I know both sides rather well, and iPhone is like the car that goes 100mph and zero fails. Android is like the car that goes 150mph but may need a mechanic once in a while. I love iPhone for photos and videos and just how well everything syncs together, but it gets so damn boring. iOS 18 may change that but I’m not downloading a beta that’s bug laden so I’ll wait for September to download the real one. But by then I may switch with my daughter who has the s24 ultra. Thankfully for me her friends mostly use iPhones and she may switch with me. Both systems have their pros and cons and if it was strictly cameras I’d stay with iPhone. But I want a bit more flexibility with android. I miss launchers and theme packs and icon customization. Not gonna lie I want the stylus again too.

Just a point for those who use tempered glass protectors: they will eliminate the anti-glare advantage and make the glass reflectivity similar to that of the other brands. This is a bad miss by Samsung, as many of us slap on a protector, and £1350 phones that are with us 24/7 need a case and protection unless you are rich.
Corning, which owns the anti-glare patent, is unlikely to allow this on tempered glass protectors, at least for the medium term, so that is a negative. Corning allowed Samsung to sell (very expensive) non-tempered screen protectors that help with scratches but are not as helpful for drops. Samsung bought an exclusive period for this feature and that is now over, so we are likely to see many OEMs use this next year.

I don't care who has the best camera or is the fastest phone in benchmarks. Every flagship smartphone takes super pictures and video's and is blazing fast. 97% of all smartphone users don't even see the differences.
I'm a SMARTPHONE user so I want the best screen (dpi/brightness/anti-glare), best battery, best/most usablility and productivity options, best gaming- and multi-media experience, best personalization options and best innovation.
I want DEX, KNOX, S-PEN, call recording, multi-tasking, multi-window, fingerprint scanner, best screen, widgets, themes, integration with windows, the biggest eco-system (Samsung SmartThings), fast charging, fast wireless charging and I want AI.
On all these aspects the S24 Ultra is destroying the iphone 15 PM big time. So why keep people buying these antiquated, restricted and very very limited iphones?

The s24U cameras sound great and look good on paper, but in the real world the cameras always disappoint. I’ll always grab my 15PM over my s24U for pictures that really count. And the iPhone captures much better pics when there is any kind of motion, unlike the Samsung which still, after all these years cannot seem to address this issue.

Ya I've noticed that issue since the Note 20 Ultra. And I've tried the S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra, and S23 Ultra. Every photo I've taken indoors (and other low-light situations) has been blurry. Some people love the Samsung cameras, but I can never get consistent results with them.
It just makes me a little sad because I'm not a fan of iOS, but also can't seem to get a good overall experience on any Android phone I've tried in the last few years. Almost everything about the Samsung is great, except the camera is unreliable. The Pixel camera is great, but the fingerprint scanner and the wireless modem are terrible. Guess I'll keep my iPhone for a little longer.

The unfortunate thing about phones is that there was a time when phones got thinner and lighter and that was a great thing. But now, the newest phone is much, much, much thicker and heavier than the phones I had 8 years ago. Now we have giant camera humps sticking out the back of the phone. The phone can't even lay flat on a table. And we're still saying that the design is amazing and "premium". But in the past, the giant ugly camera hump sticking a half inch out of the back was the ugliest thing in the world. I had a Note 8. It was really too big and wouldn't fit in my pocket. I felt like, I just can't go any bigger than this. Then I upgraded to the S23 Ultra and it is much bigger and heavier. It's the first time I've felt like, this thing is actually heavy in my hand. Like, if I hold it too long, I have to adjust my grip or something. I become aware that it's heavy in my hand. I think the iPhone is almost exactly the same.
I think I would like to have an iPhone. Samsung camera is never going to be good enough to me, and there are some things that simply never improve about the Samsung phones so I'd like to try an iPhone next. But, it's really hard to give up everything I like about the Galaxy phones.

As for fast charging when you are out and about, I have a MagSafe Battery pack that I keep on for about 4-5 hours extra SOT. So I am looking forward to Samsung having Qi 2.0, which will allow that on the Galaxy S line. So I disagree that slightly faster charging is a big deal especially for top-ups, the convenience of MagSafe trumps that easily.

@@andyH_EnglandWhy do magnets need software support? 😂😂 Look, Samsung can't integrate magsafe because of the Spen, the magnets would mess charging and the connectivity it offers. What I'm saying is that, you can't say that only Apple has magnet wireless charging because there are options for us Android users to achieve the same thing, all we need is a case, nothing fancy or expensive! Reverse wireless charging is better than magnetic charging because there is no case or attachment that can allow your iPhone to Reverse wireless charge any device. You know how many times it has saved me at the gym to wireless charge my buds. 10 minutes give me enough juice for 1.5 hours gym time!

    • @andyH_England

@@1993rufus The software allows for the optimisation of wireless charging so if you are doing something intensive it will restrict the charging to prevent overheating. Also, it allows support for an extended battery rather than just charging. That is pass-through charging before it drains the internal battery. I've had Android phones my entire life, and then this past Christmas, I got an iPhone 14. I loved it up until the past couple of weeks (my battery capacity was draining quickly, most likely due to me being on beta updates). Then, this past Sunday, I went to AT&T and got the S24 Plus. However, part of me wants to go back to the iPhone. I did really enjoy it. I think part of me just wanted a better model (don't get me wrong, the 14 is an amazing model). I didn't like my camera zoom and wanted a better battery. Also, websites have better case offers for iPhones. If I had upgraded mine but stayed with the iPhone, I would have gotten either the 15 Plus or the 15 Pro. I feel like in school, especially, it's weird not to have an iPhone. It's almost like a social status, which pains me because I know there will be people who make fun of me. I think after my contract is done on this phone, I might switch back. The crazy thing is that I'm getting close to the same screen time as my iPhone 14, which had a 3279 mAh battery capacity, and this one has a 4900 mAh battery. That doesn't make sense at all, but I guess it comes down to the hardware of the phone.

Nowadays this phone is just crap it will heat and stop working on a normal summer day if you’re not in ac temperatures. Another thing my main speaker has stopped working, no water damage nothing. Last but not the least the battery health is at 79 and literally very less backup and performance.
My reason now for switching to an S24U would be that I know longer play any hardcore games on my Mobile phone except Pokemon unite since I bought a console and hardly get time to play games. So, sure, Samsung has its advantages, but don’t act like specs alone make it 'superior.'
