    Hi Jason.
    I'm a big fan of camping. I'm nearly 71 and still love it, and I've always loved mountains. I grew up in a Detroit suburb, so I had to wait a long time to move out west and enjoy the incredible beauty all around. I wanted to comment on your North Face tent. In 1979 I bought what might be the first oval intention tent that North Face made. It was a very strong tent and I was very happy with it. 9 years later I was camping on the Olympic Peninsula and noticed the rain fly feeling sticky. When I returned home I sent the fly to North Face and said I'd gladly pay for any repair as I thought the salt air might have damaged it. They wrote back and said I should send the body of the tent and they would replace the whole thing with their top of the line tent of 1988. I still have and use that tent. It is still like new, just an incredible tent. I'm not associated with North Face in any way, I just wanted to let you know you made a great choice in tents and I did notice the aluminum poles which are top notch. One other thing...my father never took me camping even though I loved it, so I am so happy you are taking your family out to enjoy the best this world has to offer. Keep it up young man.

      @Jasonoid  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing your experience about North Face customer service, Jeff. Glad to hear they took care of you when you had an issue with you rain fly. I have been VERY happy with this tent and even though we got it on sale, it was still quite expensive. We had a pretty big wind storm a couple years back when our main poles got pretty bent / damaged, sounds like I should call them up to get a replacement pole since the tent is a little lopsided haha.

    Sick brother I’m glad you did this vlog and can’t wait for more. It’s nice to see other peoples setup for ideas and or equipment choices and how equipment works in the real world. Like me getting a fridge cooler too big and having to downsize because of the weight when it was full , and how you can have the biggest solar generator but what good is it without solar, I downsized my solar generator and with that extra money I doubled down on the solar and everything worked way more effective and more useful and half of the weight when loading and unloading.

    Cool and functional setups Jason! Jeff's rig is pretty decked out! I have a shower setup also for really long trips. It includes a propane hot water heater so we can take hot showers during cold nights, a pump with RC LiPo battery inside a sealed ammo container (but can also power it from an external power source like a power station via a 3-way switch), fully enclosed so never has to get opened.

I feel like I'm going to end up just like you with all those unnecessary fridges,batteries,panels,mppt controllers and so on. • @Jasonoid
      @Jasonoid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I havent tested the AC output as much as the DC output on the P2001. I am going to try to run a 20 watt load on the inverter overnight to see if the AC output stays powered on.

    • @user--PM
      @user--PM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also tried using the DC load with my own inverter. It also disconnected the DC output after about 2 hours. The load with my own inverter ran 0-150 watts. I am under the impression it doesn't like the dynamic load the CPAP generates. I didn't think to test the DC output on the first unit until you mentioned to try that, after I had already sent it back.
      Unlike the first one however, this one doesn't come back on, and stays off. So I have to turn off the output and turn it back on manually.

    So interesting to see how extensive your set ups are! How often do you camp? BTW: I'm looking for a dc-dc cord for my ICECO fridge that connects to the bluetti EB55 power station dc out (not the cigarette plug - the pin one). All the plugs I've looked at are cigarette lighter ones. do you know of one?

    • @Jasonoid
      @Jasonoid  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We usually have two full week long camping trips each year, with smaller overnight trips mixed in. To run a fridge off the EB55 I usually recommend taking the fridge power cable & cutting off the 12v socket on the end, and then attaching a DC 5521 barrel plug so it will plug into the 5521 barrel connections on the EB55.
      You can do it this way: amzn.to/3tYYcvS
      Or soldering with these: amzn.to/3NnNYfs

    How much rain was it did the underside stay dry.

    • @Jasonoid

      It was laying flat the entire trip so I never got the full 350 watts. I saw around 290 watts peak. We had two rainstorms that had blowing wind and rain during out trip. The panel got wet on both sides and still functioned. I also took the garden hose and sprayed it off to clean it when I got home. Still works just fine.
