    Seems the flow rate is controlled by the size of the hole? hmm. was thinking of making some small disks with different hole sizes.

      Try reducing the water pressure and see what happens… what are you spraying… herbicides, insecticides or pre emergents

    Is there a way to save this video?

    • @wemcal

      Yes.. I don’t know which device you are using… on mobile devices the save options is somewhere by the like, share, download, clip and save… just click on save from there… thanks again

      Have you ever tried making your own hose end sprayer? I need attachments, like a wand end that sprays under the leafs. What hole sizes do what

      @@otrotland5377 when I had a 250 gallon tank sprayer I used a diaphragm pump at about 580 PSI and 10 GPM a 75ft 1/2in pressure hose and a trigger spray gun with changing nozzles… check out a northern tools store, they have skid sprayers that works well

    wow, thanks, if I had to use the 20 gallon sprayer for a 3 oz per gallon mix rate, could I reduce the gallons? or how many gallons would I get?

    • @wemcal
      @wemcal  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That sprayer is only going to do about 2oz regardless.. if you can get the 6 gallon try it..thanks

  • @otrotland5377
    @otrotland5377 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have noticed that the 20 gallon sprayer can hold 34 ounces of mix if filled to the top.

    • @wemcal
      @wemcal  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That will give you a spray about 1.3oz… when I spray and the requirements are 1oz, I just fill it to the top and start spraying…. Thanks so much for watching and the comments made

  • @otrotland5377
    @otrotland5377 ปีที่แล้ว

    so if I fill the 20gallon tank with 20 ounces of mix, it will spray out at 1.6 ounces per gallon for 20 gallons of water?

    • @wemcal
      @wemcal  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fill to the top you’ll get A little over 1.5oz

  • @wemcal
    @wemcal  ปีที่แล้ว

    I would use the 6 gallon container for that… here’s the trick for that, use a chemical with higher percentage. Most of your store chemicals have about 1/3 concentration of the commercial grade, using commercial chemicals will let you use less per gallon

  • @wemcal
    @wemcal  ปีที่แล้ว

    It’s just easier to use the 6 gallon of you plan on spraying 2oz or more

    Ok, I tried to figure out what my garden hose pressure was and flow rates.
    Checked flow rate using 5 gallon bucket
    Garden hose filled bucket in 41 seconds

    Jerry Baker 20 gallon sprayer 1 minute 30 seconds

    Jerry Baker 6 gallon sprayer 1 minute 35 seconds

    Hudson 20 gallon sprayer 1 minute 39 seconds

    Flow rate (bottle test) 32 ounces
    Jerry Baker 20 gallon sprayer filled water to 32 ounce mark with red food coloring sprayed out 11 gallons in 4 minutes 40 seconds

    Jerry Baker 6 gallon sprayer filled water to 32 ounce mark with red food coloring sprayed out 5 gallons in 2 minutes 10 seconds

    Hudson 20 gallon sprayer filled water to 32 ounce mark with red food coloring sprayed out 10.5 gallons in 4 minutes 40 seconds
    I my mix rates seemed off all the time.

      Wow… my flow rate has never been that fast… my 6 gallon does move fast but I don’t think that fast… I also never turn the hose on full force.. thanks for watching and sharing your information

      It is tricky sometimes.. if this will help, ortho has a dial sprayer, a lot easier
