Hi Vanessa, another lovely interview! What I was fascinated by was the fact that Precious decided to study in Ghana rather than study in the UK. It is something we rarely discuss or offer in the UK. Superb idea!

I know this vid is a few months old, but I went to University of Ghana 2003-2004 as an international student from the University of California system. Would highly recommend people study at this school. I was a business administration major and my classes in Ghana were tough! I also took some dance and drumming classes that were fun but also kicked my ass! Was a wonderful experience and according to my mother Ghana made me blossom into a wonderful woman. 😂

Yes ! Being a legonite is the best ever. The campus has everything you need. I also am in favour of a part 2. We enjoyed great entertainment on weekends. There are churches of many denominations, lots of student groups. Bush canteen and dining halls. The botanical garden, the new modern University Medical Center, so much space for walking or just strolling. Romantic places, lecturers residences, hotel/visitors accommodation like Yiri Lodge, Ford Foundation.
You can see I love my University of Ghana and I have attended a very prestigious university abroad but being a legonite is the best. Go Volta Hall!

This is surely a great advice. However the cost of Travel to Ghana might be the main hindrance to such Students.
The tuition fee is ok and Cool and the payment might be in US Dollars or Pound Sterilng.
So Carribean students be very careful of Gh Universities because of the cost of living.

Thanks for this video! I graduated from Legon from the School of Business (Bsc) in juli 1979, that makes it 42 years ago and have since then lived and worked in the Netherlands. Looking at the surroundings of Legon makes me feel very happy but at the same time makes me miss the surroundings of the University and Ghana in general. In my days the accomodation for students were much better than today, one had a room to him or herself. I guess the accomodation has improved as the number of students has massively increased. Thanks again!

It is sure is a great School to attend If given the Opportuntiy.
The history and the Geography Courses are unpredictable because of the calibre of Students who accept entrance unto the School since the early 2000 decade.

If you are in the UK, it may not be a bad deal for the kids (especially if they intend working in UK/Europe or Ghana with their degree). However, should they land in the US, they will find a lot of challenges with the Ghanaian degree especially in the licensed professions (Medicine, Engineering etc). This has got nothing to do with the quality of our education but how things are structured in Ghana vs US. If your kids did A-levels in UK before pursuing college (either in Ghana or UK) they will be able to overcome some of these red tapes here in the US easily without much stress.

@@deeeball Very true but Ghana is our Country and all we have to do is to negotiate for the Total Recognition of our Degrees and Certificates.

It Is quite ironic that Ghanaian Degrees are not fully recognized in the Western World.
Why didn't our successive Governements make deals with Foreign nations Concerning the value of our Degrees.
Apart from Hungary and Swdeden Other nations have not fully accepted Gh Degrees.
However the UK and France now fully accept our Degrees.
On a Historical note America should have never gone into Vietnam to interfere with the affairs of other nations at all.
