A Concise Summary of The Charisma Myth in 6 Points: 1. Charisma is a learned skill, not something some people are born with and other aren't. 2. Definition, or Formula, of Charisma: *Power + Warmth + Presence = Charisma* 3. Visualizations prime/trick your body into entering a charismatic mental state, even if you don't think or feel charismatic before you visualize. 4. *Power* Visualization: When you walk into a room or meeting, imagine you are a gorilla. 5. *Warmth* Visualization: Imagine the person/people you are about to meet are angels or have angel wings to foster a sense of goodwill towards them. 6. *Presence* Visualization: Focus on a sensation in your body to give the person/people you are talking to your complete attention and to stop your mind from wandering.
i am your follower forever such a noble value you are providing. I liked your way of how you applied book concept to yourself and it literally says you can do it too. It needs real creativity, efforts. I Hope you achieve great success in your life. P.S. Productivity Game is the New Game
Nice summary! To be more present, for me it works best to focus on the breath than trying to visualize the toe. Just take one deep breath, and then back to the conversation.
Hey man. Just love your reviews/summaries - call them whatever! Been following Oliva for some years now, or I used to, so really look forward to this one and reconnecting with her message! Thanks, P.S I'm going to record a review of your one word by Evan Carmichael, just as you did, so I've been watching your videos for inspiration too. It's so hard to hit on what's relevant in a condensed format. I appreciate what you're doing, even more now when I've realised that. /Alex
This is actually very funny! And interesting! I was missing the warmth quality and that’s why I ended up a stay at home parent. It was teaching me something. There are no coincidences. 🤔
It has to be a gorilla? Another thing - crossover from gorilla to warmth and angels is quite an opposite end...:) But alright, those are presuppositions ,some guide lines in which direction you can or should go to emphasize that or to be charismatic, and one can (re)build or create it as it suits for him/her...
I'm not sure if it's this summary or the contents of the book itself, but if the advice to come across as more charismatic is to act like this, rather than being a genuine person who actually cares about people, this is only a short-term solution.
@@nycolaspaffoni2583 the answer can only be the opposite of the affirmative if such and when such in Htrae (reference Wikipedia) the answer is yes; to further clarify: in said hypothetical case no meaning of course, if only theoretically, yes.
if charisma cannot be fake ?? how about narsistic , they are ussualy very charming , fake warmth . but very insecure sometimes supress anger since it cause by child trauma .
I'd hardly describe Steve Jobs as having warmth! A flawed father, who refused to pay child support to his biological daughter, definitely. But certainly not warm.
The book is wrong, charisma IS an innate trait. The author is confusing “likability” for charisma. You can polish charisma but you can’t teach it or develop it out of avoid. Oprah doesn’t have charisma. She has likability. They learned to frame Steve Jobs better later in the presentation. Jobs was always a good salesman it’s how he got out of the garage.
This is, by far, the most ridiculous talk given by the Productivity Game. The idea of going into a meeting, visualizing oneself as a gorilla is lame. Regarding angels, they don't have to do good deeds to get their wings. Where are you getting your angelology, from the movie, "It's a Wonderful Life?"

I simply love your summary of books. But for this particular book, the original writer of the book has put together various ideas haphazardly.
Nice job as always! Really love your videos keep working !
Again a nice job. I really like the way you are speaking, very clear for a non native english speaker like me.

On a scale from 1 to Warmth, Steve Jobs is Ice Station Zebra.

How come no one comments about the gorilla + angel + toe combination? I was in a bus burst out laughing 😂😂
Ikr.. Absurd 😂
absurdity is memorable

Power posing, originally popularized by Amy Cuddy has been discredited. The findings were not replicated by others.
The discrediting comments have been proven to be unfounded. She has already refuted the criticism a while ago

I agree but you can see if it's natural or not, you can see people putting on or not.
exactly

first of all charm and charisma are 2 different things
The same ideas go from one book to another.
So true. Very few books seem to teach anything new it seems
If a person is said to be charismatic I run as fast as I can! Charisma=manipulation & Narcissistic Personality Disorder!
Ultimately its all neuro linguistic programming
I'd hardly describe Steve Jobs as having warmth! A flawed father, who refused to pay child support to his biological daughter, definitely. But certainly not warm.

99% of you won’t GET IT what’s the distinction between charisma and likability?
What do you think it is? They are very different qualities.
I agree with you fully
Disagree

Angel wings ...seems like author watched too much of Lucifer ;)
