Absolutely loved the Twin Towers! Had an opportunity to work up at the restaurant for almost a year. Took another job elsewhere which saved my life that day. Was up at the Greatest Bar on Earth drinking 4 days before the planes struck. God Bless those that perished that sad day!!!! 🙏
The first day I learned about the Twin Towers even existing was the day they were destroyed. Living in NC and only being in 3rd grade at the time it was the first time seeing them and I cried. They still to this day are the only skyscraper I ever cared about seeing in person.

Some of these angles are so ominous and harrowing. To think in the near future people would be standing at those ledges begging God to spare their lives, and no hope would come from it. Such a heartbreaking scenario
Strange to think nearly every inch of those towers were laid to dust. My mind goes to the jumpers when there’s window shots.
Just Fun and simpler times, I miss the pre 2000 era.

This video really gives scale to the people who never visited WTC. The video footage near the windows scaling the whole New York city really shows the size and scale of the WTC-towers. The horror must've been unimaginable, when one was holding on to the windows while the inside of the tower was engulfed in explosive flames during the 9/11 attacks. May the victims rest in peace.
This is the NYC I grew up in. I went on the roof of the South Tower back in 1994. I think WTC 5 (I always forget which of the smaller buildings) had the African-American Musuem burial ground exhibits, which was sadly destroyed on 9/11. The Twin Towers was my #1 favorite spot here in NYC. I miss them everyday.

The prices to visit the Twin Towers. $12 for adults and $6 for children. Now, just for the standered admission of the world trade center, I have to pay $44 dollars. It's insane how much has changed in 26 years.
and imo $44 is still low for what this is.
What a rip off and there's no roof top observation deck, what a buzzkill, when i go i'm visiting the Chrysler and Empire State towers, i don't like the new one, it pales into insignificance to the twin towers top of the world
@@geemonster9179 true, the twin towers had an indescribable presence that the one wtc didn't managed to recapture. Howwever, i think they choose the best design out of all the others that has been suggested

На тот момент это было самым высоким зданием в мире (северная башня из-за шпиля). Внутри располагались не только офисы с постоянными сотрудниками, но и для посетителей были рестораны, музеи, смотровые площадки. Едедневно куча народа там находилась. Это историческое место, поэтому получилось вдвойне ценное видео.
Страшно представить что испытали люди в момент столкновения на верхних этажах.
4:24 вниз страшно смотреть... Людям 9\11 пришлось не только вниз смотреть, но и прыгать с этой высоты, просто ахуеть.
Не самая плохая смерть, должен сказать. Всяко лучше, чем умирать стариком в обоссаной постели. Да, понятно, отчаяние, осознание того, что пробил твой час, зато потом незабываемый полёт и быстрая смерть, по идеи там и боли то толком не чувствуешь при таком резком ударе и мгновенной смерти.

Случай про одного дедка слышал? Упал с самолёта в стог сена и выжил, с переломленными костями
Человек может упасть с 1 этажа и умереть, может подскользнуться и умереть, как и с любой другой высоты
А есть случаи, когда чел падает с реально большой высоты и при этом выживает, естественно, весь переломанный
Наверняка и тут были выжившие, только умерли они немного погодя, от мучительной боли или уже от обломков рушащего здания

To think that people jumped from there. It’s not a thought anyone would have. It was either suffocate to death, burn to death, or be free of all suffering and pain in a matter of seconds by way of jumping.
Ironic that the video starts at 10:28am, identical to the time the north tower fell down and destroyed the old complex forever.
This video is really bittersweet… knowing what is in store for these buildings and the people at this height.. it’s borderline heartbreaking and disturbing.

Went to it in 91 and again in 92. Was scared to look over the side at the top. To think of those forced out of it on 9/11💔

I was there in 1990. We also took the elevator to the observation deck. At that time, you had to buy a ticket for it. I still have this ticket today.

When I was little, I wondered off a lot so there's no way my mother would have taken me to a big city at that time. But if we went, I would have remembered it forever, despite being only six.

I didn’t realise that you could go into the twin towers back then, what a memory, who would have imagined then what we know today and what is left. I have seen the memorial it is a very emotional reminder of all those innocent people and what they saw out of those windows. R.I.P
Ik ben in 2022 naar New York geweest. Ik heb ook het World Trade Center in New York bezocht. Je kan vanop het World Trade Center de hele stad zien. Ik zag ook die twee watervallen die op het plein stonden als herdenking aan de aanslagen van 11 september. Je ziet overal in Manhattan bordjes van uitleg van de aanslagen van 11 september. Je ziet op bijna elke hoek van de straat het World Trade Center. Wij zijn voor 10 dagen naar de stad New York geweest. We namen vanuit België het vliegtuig naar Amerika. We logeerden in de stad Hoboken, die aan de overkant van de Hudson lag. We namen toen de metro of de bus, die ons naar het stadsdeel Manhattan bracht. Ik was op de aanslagen van 11 september nog niet geboren, maar ben geboren op 7 juni 2004. Ik kom zelf uit België.
