- Join us in this video as we tackle the replacement of a two-piece bulb and wipe system on a 2015 Grand Design Momentum for a local family. They were facing a seal failure, and we stepped in to upgrade their setup with our innovative one-piece integrated bulb and wipe design. Watch as we transform their RV, enhancing both function and reliability with a seamless installation.

Had a question. I have a Grand Design Reflection 5th wheel. I see in your video that the old seal that was removed was a “H” style seal. I see that flip n seal offers an “H” style replacement seal. Is it preferred to stick with the same style as OE or switch to an inner and outer as you did in the video?
Hey Jeffrey! We do offer H-Style Replacement seal which can be used for replacement if you would like to stick to the OE, but this is not required. We did not use an H-Style in this video because we would need to remove the entire slide-box to fit the seal on the edge of the wall. We unfortunately were not able to remove the slide-box to do this, which is why we went with single wipes on both the inside and outside. We usually recommend this method if you are DIY-ing.
We have installed Vroom slides on our rig. Should the wipe be “slotted” to accommodate the rails?
Hi Stacia, yes, if you are buying replacement seals for your Vroom mechanism, you will need to notch it yourself to accommodate the rails. Vroom has been installing our slide-out seals on their mechanisms since 2022.

Can I leave my slide out?
When it's raining
Hello, yes you can as long as you have replaced your seals and they are properly attached to the unit!
My slide is under a canopy, how do I work around/ under the canopy to replace the sweeper seal? Thanks in advance!
Hi there! Unfortunately, we will have to suggest removing the canopy to replace the top wipe. The sides should not be an issue, but the clearance that the canopy provides will more than likely not be enough to DIY this project without removing the canopy.
What sealant/calking were you using/would you recommend? Thanks!
We used geocell in our video, but any neutral cure silicone sealant will work fine.
