Very resourceful. I mix Sculptamold a bit thinner and brush on with a stiff 2" brush. Like what you would use for putting sauce on a chicken (not a live one, but like a bar-b-q). Although I guess you could brush the sauce on a live one; that might save time later....
This is a brilliant reconstruction of a natural process. I like the result as you do too. I got up earlier than you to find nothing new. This evening there you were.
YOU BOTH ARE VERY TALENTED MODELERS LOVE YOUR VIDEO AND SCREWING AROUND TIME AND YOUR TESTING VERY INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE THANK YOU BOTH. I THANK YOU YOU AGAIN JIM KAMMERER OF PHILADELPHIA PA AWESOME GOOD VIDEO. 👌👍😁😷😷😷🚂🚂
Looks great! You might want to try a hot air gun (to strip paint) to melt the foam instead of the acetone. It works great and doesn’t leave a lot of residue. (Use only in a well ventilated space)
Looking good, reminds me of looking for gold when you sifted the dirt. Your test is first rate with great results!! Great discovery on sculptamold and celuclay. Thank you for the comparisons and discovery. Be safe and see you on Facebook and Tuesday.
Please don't hurt the gophers I know their pest, but they are not hurting no one. your ditch is coming out so good. I'm making A small stream on my On30 layout. What your are sharing and showing is so helpful.
No the little guys are everywhere. Every yard in the area. It’s theirs now... grass? Who needs grass. I guess everyone will have to switch to xeriscaping.
like the overall finished look. I used some dark color tile grout over all my foam in hopes it will stand up to the weather. everything is sprayed with carpenters glue ( water prof ) to hold everything down, sofar so good...
@@ToyManTelevision so long with a locomotive nearby as display or figures for the fishing moments :) but still great project. i used for that pink material also woodglue with water. so that the paint work stick (for board game with different figures.) that was also fun to do. i hope mine new scalemodels coming because your videos give me also inspirations because we have lockdown here and also restriction on the evening so we are more 21:00 hours to stay home...
Very interesting and educational i model ho so im trying to figure out how to get the same results in my scale im glad i stumbled across your channel and I think the best part im jealous of is the two of you doing it together
The test creek and pond looks awesome. You may want to find a place to fit that in. It would be a shame to waste it. Or, you could make a diorama out of it! I know exactly what you are saying about the U.S. Post Office. I this past month I had a Priority Mail envelope take over three weeks to arrive from just 380 miles away! Normally the priority mail takes two days. This was not an isolated incident either. At work, we had a letter take three days to go from the inbox at the Post Office to our Post Office Box, in the same building!
Yep we just had another eBay package sent back to Denver. Didn’t come from Denver so we’re not quite sure what they’re doing about that but he said they’re resending sending it to the receiver return to sender who the heck knows.
If Steve's gopher colony ever dies out, I've got plenty of the little buggers throwing up dirt in my pasture. You're welcome to it. Ground squirrels in the summer, too.
What if the dirt outside the gopher holes is processed and removed gopher poop? They have to do something with it, right? I hope you washed your hands...or at least don't touch your face.
You guys are great together. You continue to make us smile.
Thanks 🙏

I use it wet or dryer depending on what I’m doing. But usually wetter
Liked video 👍
Hi. Thanks!!
Sanded or non-sanded tile grout may be an option if you’re willing to try it! Great video, Dale and Karen. Hope all’s well. See ya on Tuesday!
Will do. Doing stone walls just now. May try it there.
Looking good. Coming along nicely
Thanks 🙏
I love Karyn’s comment at the beginning... “We are streaming and logging”. 😂
This is a brilliant reconstruction of a natural process. I like the result as you do too.

Oops. Clicked the wrong thing. Wrong day... fixed!!
Wow! The layouts really coming along!

Hi. Thanks again for watching. Stay safe. Oh and stay warm!! Geeezzz
This little test chunk looks cool on its own sort of like a diorama. You 2 are so creative! :-)
Thanks 🙏
Hello from Kansas 🇺🇸
Hi. I knew a guy in junction back in the 60’s. Easy Jack.
I use rocks sand and dirt, all from the general area's that I model, and Blend in Grasses and plant cover over that, a lot of sifting!
Looks great love it
Very good tutorial. Short and to the point.
Hi. And thanks.
Test site looks fantastic
Thanks 🙏
Good video with lots of tips tricks suggestions ideas and cheerful banter. Now that the experiments are done on to the real thing.
Yup!! So far so good.

Hi. Clicked the wrong button. Fixed!!
Top ideas ....I still have to get a round tuit???!!!!! ....my own railway . It's been on hold toooooo long 👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍
Get on it! Time is passing by. Like a parade
Yep I agree need to get myself motivated👀👀👀👀👍👍 not just looking at it surveying it all the time

Plan to try that!! Thanks 🙏
Next thing I know I will find a places on your layout called Watered Down and Waisted Away. Again another informative video
Karen says that is a plan! Especially the water down part!
@@ToyManTelevision a swamp would great for watered down.
I tried using spackle that I diluted a bit. And it worked well
you must well putting your test model in your railroad, it is awsome :D and it does look great.
Hi. Plan to use it in some way.
@@ToyManTelevision i am really curious to see where it stay in your railroad :)
@@lordsjaak not sure. Probably be a diorama

Oh! And thanks!! No doubt will do something with it. First testing static grass!
So I guess the place is called Gopher Gulch on Bottleneck Creek? Great video and Ideas. ;-)
Hi! Plan!! In the bathroom it’s yellow creek pass.
Either that or "Brown Bottom Wash". ;-)@@ToyManTelevision
Looking really good! Can’t wait to see it on the railroad! Now you have gopher dirt and squirrel dirt! What next?? Haha! Great job! Take care!
Yeah if we go out fishing maybe we can get some octopus dirt
@@ToyManTelevision Haha! Yeah!
big foot pond
I’m thinking of an actual skill big foot on the log in railroad hiding in the trees somewhere
If Steve's gopher colony ever dies out, I've got plenty of the little buggers throwing up dirt in my pasture. You're welcome to it. Ground squirrels in the summer, too.
I’m afraid if it ever does the lady across the street will fix that immediately! I think she has more than he does
I think that is the same stuff as White Gesso. Gesso also is textured and acrylic.
I have quite a few square feet of pink foam to cover. I think I'll avoid acetone, though. Looks like it might work too well! Looks great in general.
May want to test mod podge and sand. The primer I used was brilliant but expensive.
Now I might be wrong but with the sculptAmold I think you need more water
I always wondered what they meant by a "streaming video". Now I know.
Doh!!
I have began my long and windy path to building my first layout.
Cool! What scale or gauge? If I were starting out I’d do On30. But I love narrow gauge
@@ToyManTelevision OO9 which is OO Scale NG, the models are tiny

Pandemic so no. But the poop isn’t a problem. Thought about putting it in a microwave... but naw, it’s just dirt. More worm poop than gopher poop.
In other words ....
You're working on an Ex - Stream project.
Doh!!
Holy China Syndrome Batman!
