I have a 2001 camry them 4 cylinder best cars ever made. If it's not broke don't fix them cars run forever with simple maintenance. Will continue to use the regular air filter that the manual says
This isn't for the Engine thats the one in the air box This is for Cabin Air 4th Gen US Camry's didn't come with a Cabin Air filter not even a slot for one
Wandering how much water gets in there when it pours? Need a revisit. Like the initiative doing something toyota flopped on from 1997-2001! Can't believe not wire mesh toyota didn't do!
I found my car is leaking from there.. took cowl off and i cant belive its just open like that.. water goes right in... only the cowl is supposed to stop the water from going straight in there ???
If you first cover the inlet with wire mesh, you will ALSO have mouseproofed your heater and AC fan. Solves a very common problem with Toyotas and others.
I keep getting water in through that hole ?? Is there nothing eals covering that ?? Is the cowl the only thing to redirect the water from going straight in that cabin motor ??
Not a lot of people know but there is one under the dash behind the center console it’s just a bitch to replace that’s the only thing that sucks with the 4th gens but they’re the best cars ever
My 2005 toyota camry v6 altise has no cabin air filter either??? Im in Australia and i dont get it why they never put a cabin air filter on it? My wifes 2003 corolla has one behind the glovebox,i checked behind my glove box and theres no cabin filter? Thats pretty fckd up if you ask me!
@@rayraymond6719 okay then could you show where is located, I do want to change it. I went through lots of models and didn't find it, in the junk yard. I also went to autozone and they said that my car didn't had it. So if you know I need help to fin it. I have a 2001 2.2 automatic transmission camry and to change it.
I know there was a vid on it. I can't find it again. Located near the same location as of you were going to pick at the ECM. Replacing that helped me get rid of the SRS light to pass the car inspection. They check for these lights to come on and off. I have wondered what was directly under that black guard.
My Australian 2005 Toyota camry altise v6 didnt come with a cabin filter either????? Why would they not include a cabin filter? Thats pretty fckd up i reckon! Even my wifes 2003 Toyota corolla has a cabin filter in it?
Dude.... Wint it get WET from all the RAIN WATER and when you're Washing it .....Maybe not such a good idea because possibility of MOLD will grow on it.??!!!....your thoughts

How
Awesome, so when you have to change it, it'll rip off and leave the old filter behind with the glue😆👍🏻

very cool idea, hows it holding up?
My 01 Camry was built in Japan so will it have a cabin filter behind the glove box?
Yah

Thanks, God bless you👍
It should have a cabin filter. It should be located under dashboard. Remove the glove compartment and it should be right there.
Nop, camrys from 97-2001 2.2 don't have it. I went to the junk yard and look through all and nop
@@grgortiz1401 It has it brother all original and after market have it.. they're just located in different spots

@@grgortiz1401I have the same car.
👋
Why are you customizing the air filter?
There was no standard cabin air filter for the car. That model and year came without an cabin air filter. If you find one, let me know.

I mean if they manufactured the car this way why you doing this?
Can this apply to the 1994 Camry too?
You do know they come with a cabin air filter right? Lol
They don’t. At least not the US version of the 01 Camry. I have one
