I was particularly impressed with all the health calculation for mandatory damage from enemies and radioactivity. The box cover on 1:49:00 is genius. If I may add, you can press ESC after inputting keypad codes in order to skip the access granted delay. That'll let you move on immediately and the time you save at them will add up.

10:42 I can imagine this was one of the most annoying parts, it's amazing how you're playing on realistic yet point blank shotgun rounds and assault rifle rounds only seem to damage your legs, I wonder if it just took a well placed shotgun round to the torso and you'd be dead Phenomenal speedrun, I also like how you carried the TNT crate and used it to destroy the generator, I was wondering why you were carrying it around like its your most cherished childhood possession
+Anathelus Individual bullets from the assault rifle or pellets from the shotgun don't do that much damage (even on realistic) compared to the pistol or even the mini crossbow. It was a tough part to get through anyway, a lot of luck was needed. But not as much as the small generator in the cemetary, where all I could do is hope the guard would shoot a bit to the left to hit it, and not take too much damage because of the paris sewers that come just after and the unavoidable damage.
The Sub Base Run was E.P.I.C.! Major props there. The speed factor is a great element that us creepers and sneakers seldom get to use. Going to incorporate that into my next time through. One of the greatest games...ever.
Props and doing this run As much it saddens me to see Deus Ex can completed just by walking jumping and moving boxes, there was an elegant simplicity to watching this run be done so well.

@@echelon2k8 if i remember right there is a door in vandenberg that you need to open by either having the key or by explosives. the nano key is the only option here since you dont want to use LEM/GEP.

I was surprised to find out that Simmons spawns at 1:47:28 if you managed to avoid him the first time. Great run btw, this game was truly built with every playstyle imaginable in mind.
March 2022 and I'm replaying Deus Ex. This is an excellent video. It would have been nice to see the skill adjustments. It's the best thing about the game that it can be played enjoyably in a few different styles
I'm not that bothered by the button push at the end but after going to all this effort you probably should have tried to make the helios ending work since it's quite easy to access. Would have been hard but no harder than any of the ridiculous stuff in this video, and then you wouldn't get all the douchebags in the comments saying "glitchless, ay?" while waggling their eyebrows. Insane effort.
I would add that having Beth DuClare exploding massive wood debris in the Château doesn't seem glitchless either... Though I believe developers intentionally allowed NPC to explose stuff that get in their way, whereas activating switches through pixel wide opening... That was certainly not intended! Nevertheless, massively impressive and satisfying speedrun.
Very impressive, although I see one small improvement. In Area 51, if you crawl behind the sniper tower, it triggers the LAM inside, blowing out the door.
@@Levyathyn Borderline. If you think the LAM proximity sensors are meant to work through walls then you can justify it. Practically, though, it probably is. I'm just interested that I've never seen anyone else highlight this 'feature'.

I was on the room on top of 2 lams in the area 51 sniper tower and couldn't check it out. I flipped on the augmentation and I suddenly hear them both just blow and I was confused for a moment until I went and down and realized they blew the instant I activated the aug

From 06:38 onward I was completely confused as to why you'd want to pick up the TNT crates - until 10:40 when I realized that you'd managed to use it to complete the second mission in 4 minutes. For the normal gamer, it should take half an hour.
Something very funny about stealing hostage takers explosives, sneaking onto a train leaving at the next station, then going back for more, and later blowing up a generator of their's with them.
