He failed here by panicking to pick his firearm up and putting his finger into the trigger guard while picking it up.

His final mistake was putting his finger on the trigger when picking it up. His first mistake was dancing like an idiot with a charged pistol stuck down his crack.
If you're an agent and you're required to carry a firearm at all times, don't do a backflip. It's also a good idea not to draw attention to yourself if you're an agent, so that's another reason why a backflip is a monumentally stupid thing to do.

If I have had a beer or two, my body type allows me to metabolize the alcohol fast enough to be able to legally drive (blood alcohol level below 0.08) within an hour. After that hour is over, I still cannot have a firearm concealed on my person. Until my blood alcohol level is 0.0, I cannot carry. If this guy was half-lit, but because he's FBI he'll only get in trouble because he had a negligent discharge, I'm gonna be pissed.

The next safety is the "striker block/safety plunger" that unless the trigger is fully depressed, it prevents the striker from being released, even if dropped onto a hard surface from a height of 2 meters. The third safety installed/engineered into all Glock pistols is the drop safety. This prevents inertia from allowing or causing the gun to be fired if dropped from a height. These pistols, of which I own and have owned dozens without a mishap, are inherently safe - it's all in HOW YOU HANDLE FIREARMS. There are FOUR RULES FOR FIREARMS SAFETY that MUST be OBEYED at ALL TIMES. Glocks don't have a safety switch. They have other safety measures you can't turn off, but nothing against the gun firing if you put your finger in the trigger and pull other than not loading the gun.
