I’m having implants and cosmetic bonding/veneers done at my local dental School. Care has been top notch, it takes a little longer than at a typical office because everything is supervised. I just bought some whitening gel there for only $16.

My wife and I got our teeth whitened at the dentist office prior to our wedding and had no idea how bad the sensitivity would be. Our mouths were in pain during and for the rest of the day, it’s was miserable. Looked beautiful though 😁

Yes but the pain eventually went away within a day to 2 depending on how much of your dentine is exposed to cause the sensitivity or if you have a significant amount of eroded enamel that protects said dentine

The impression trays from the dentist are great with the whitening gel, however they usually require at least 2 hours per application, or a less concentrated gel that can be kept in over night. I’ve found it difficult to dedicate 2 hours at the very end of my night to this, because every day doesn’t always end the same for me.

Is it an option to not leave them on (same strength) as long but the process would take longer. I was given this option, 30 minutes is the time it takes to get ready for bed, shower etc.

Shit you did well to not have to have your wisdom teeth pulled till you hit 40, i had 1 of mine grow in fine the other grew in a bit crooked pushing on my last molar and it hurt like hell getting that pulled
The dentist gave me 3 shots to numb the area but that tooth was not willing to pull from the look on her face and the amount my head was getting yanked around it put up 1 hell of a fight
My face was numb for another 2 hours after the appointment but once that wore off the pain set in and my tounge kept getting drawn to the tooth cavity and as i kept poking at it i ended up with dry socket

I had one removed last year at 40 on the bottom, it was horizontal and starting to push the one in front of it over on an angle because the tooth in front of that one had been missing for awhile.
Had to go to a specialist, they put me to sleep.
For the next couple of weeks the hole slowly repaired itself, growing small white gum cells in the hole but they kept falling out and washing away so it didnt repair as well as it should have in the end. Plus at the start I thought it was food stuck in the hole & tried to remove it for a day or 2 until I realized it wasn't.
Dentist didnt warn me about that, it might've healed better If I'd known. Disappointed with their lack of effort. But that's normal where I live.

I finally asked my dental hygienist if I was ready for teeth whitening and because I've had so much dental work over the years, including fillings, a bridge and crowns replaced, she answered all my questions and concerns and we set up a plan I'm really happy with. can also make “trays” using physical sport rubber mouthpieces boiled for about 30 seconds and then pressed into your mouth😁 soft rubber will mold around your teeth. is a little hot for a second but won’t burn you

I have never known it to be a trend, technology on products has improved. I am fortunate enough to have a dentist put advise me on the option best for me. I did the molded trays and take home product which I reorder on Amazon. He also gave me the frequency, time for the trays. Easy to do for 30 minutes.

I have a “spitty mouth” so I dry my mouth and fold paper towel and put it around my gum line and on my tongue and try to lay with my head back. Saw it on an Amazon review for crest strips and it’s really helped me

I have whitening trays. I use my mouth guards I bought at Walmart for kick boxing. Stick them in boiling water to soften them then put them in your mouth and bite down. Makes a perfect mold of your teeth and it only cost $5.99.

Just did the whitening in my dental office and it was fast and also had my impressions done so I can get the second option as well since he said it can last forever and also having my temp veneers put in tomorrow and installing the permanent one’s in about 3-4 weeks 🤗 I finally was able to get this done as a gift from my husband 🥰
I wanted to make clear it was for my two front teeth since as a child I had chipped both. Also I have only gotten complements on my smile ever since. I absolutely am enjoying my teeth. I get my regular cleaning with the dentist inside the same office I got them done at so they take pictures and check to make sure everything is fine with my new veneers
