For Yancoal-not sure if you mentioned-appears to have 75% insider ownership, so not likely to do something to screw over shareholders (in contrast to PBR!).

Actually, they have been the subject of a few cheeky take-under attempts but Aus regulators have stopped them every time. Whilst PBR's main shareholder is the Brazilian gov and unlikely to affect their main source of funds. Not everything is so simple.
So 7 months later (Jan 2024) would you still buy YAL at today's price?

haha yep! well there are a few options I'm browsing.. TGA and BTU aren't bad but would like them cheaper than today HCC i'm not overly familiar with yet

but isnt yancoal doing good because of the temporary increase of the coal price? if things cooldown this still can be considered cheap right
see the part where I extrapolate a much lower theoretical coal price and you'll see what I think

Yeah it's possible, so I won't be overweighting those positions. Louis Vincent Garve makes some good points on this though if you listen to his interviews.

im not sure if there will be a difference as I'm dutch and the treaty with AUS and FRA are kinda the same tariff on dividend tax
