I’ve always loved how this song sneaks more and more instruments in as it goes, eventually reaching peak Steinman with crashing drums and cymbals. An utter masterpiece.

Just wow. I heard that he never performed this live because it just takes so much. But then decades later he performed live with Melbourne symphony. You can see what it takes…and he gives it everything he’s got. Worth a watch…
My favorite Meat Loaf song. Meat Loaf also loved this song, and he believed it was the greatest love song ever written. Too bad you could not hear it on a set of large 1970's floor speakers with a powerful receiver where you not only hear the song, but you literally feel the music. Something that's missing in most reaction channels, when hearing only on head phones. Thanks again for reacting to this iconic fantastic song.
The only song on the album that wasn't all over British radio at the end of the 70's and it is the one that stands as the memorial for a superb album and a wonderful singer.

This is my favourite song by Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman. I heard it not long after the album was released (I was a child) and have loved it since then. But I do like the music of Meat Loaf.
Kinda jealous that you get to hear this for the first time. But if I am judging correctly it won't be your last.
