This is one of my dream cars. It is CRAZY how complete that car is. And rare. I’m a touring songwriter and my dream is to tour in one of these and park it in front of the venue 😂
Wow! What a beauty, what a beast. Such a cool find,....the kind of car you could live in, after its all fixed up or partially restored. I love old Caddies.
I ran across a Cadillac hearse from the early/mid 50's many years ago, way back in the woods of an old junk yard... It was dirty, rusty, creepy beyond words, but so odd and cool, I had to have a closer look. As I was about to peer through the side widow into the "passenger" area, I guess I kicked the wheel and broke off the valve stem... The sudden, loud blast of air almost scared me out of my shoes!
Here in Shreveport Louisiana there's an early 1950s Cadillac ambulance. It's been used in front of a transmission repair shop since some time the 1960s, as an advertisement sign. I believe it has a military history, there's evidence under the hood that it may have been used at a nearby Airforce base. I posted a video of it a few years ago. Thanks for the video. 👍👍
You have some real gems there in the way of classic cars, love the 1952 Cadillac Hearse. But i have to say the star of the show has to be the 1959 eureka hearse thats been converted into the ECTO1. I want one! ❤
I was on Funeral Detail at Ft.Gordon in 1982 and worked 30+ funerals. We saw a brand new hearse in SC that was a side loader and they said it was a new design and the first one in the Southeast. I guess nothing ever is really new if they had those in 1952.
Lesney used to make a Matchbox model of the 63 Ambulance. I still have mine, 60 years on. Also, Ghostbusters was a culturally important film so recreating Ecto is no bad thing!
That is so cool! If it could be restored back to like new would be a show car for sure! Yeah, those old cars you need to pump the crap out of the accelerator to get it started! I knew this guy years ago where I stored my collector car in winter. The guy had a metal building with several cars in it. He had , I think a 1957 Cadillac hearse all original with even the curtains inside. Guy died I guess always wondered if his brother still has it to this day.
Would love to see this restored to original condition these were gorgeous. A Canadian bought the rights to Eureka back in the 80s and made some nice hearses for a few years but went out of business. Unfortunately today there really is no good car to build a hearse on even the new Cadillacs aren’t suitable for the look you are trying to get .
I grew up in a49 coup. The floor had mushrooms. Probably death caps. I had nightmares I was in it and it would buck like a horse. My dad finally sold it because the battery would lose charge. The brakes were notorious. We couldn't even park it on a hill it would creep and roll.. it was a complete nightmare. I hope for the best for you! They do ride very plush however. I'm sorry to be so blunt but that's the memories I have with Cadilac. They are good cars when new but youl be dumping cash into them like water. Yes I am a little envious but know better. Have fun.😅
Are you guys mostly Cadillac based? I’ve got Caddy’s and Packards. 58 Cad Fleetwood limo, 59 Fleetwood limo former Mae West car, 58 Eldo Seville air ride and TriPwr. 40 Packard touring limo super eight /dual sidemounts, and 41 Packard Henny ambulance/hearse combo.

Cool video. I have a 61 62 series Caddliac. It's not a Hearst but it's a tribute to my Dad and Grandpa. You wouldn't know where a man could get a good used number 3 piston would you? I'm in Indianapolis and we don't have any yards with old car's. So any information you could give me I'd appreciate it. Thanks again for the videos
@railtrolley ya always see hearse super low miles when funeral home gets rid of, I think would be good buy just don't see them to often. Also be good to avoid that late 90s early 2000s the cadillac engine wasn't most reliable I've heard(og Northstar)
I miss my 51 Packard 63 Pontiac Bonneville and my 56 Cadillac combination 3 way table in 1971 I contacted out to 3 funeral homes one of the funeral homes would do long distance transfers I used my daddy's standard oil credit card in one month with the Bonneville I bought 4 tires a battery and 400 dollars of gas when the bill came in he was mad as hell I took the bill and cut them a check and a application for the credit card they approved it when they found out on average of 4000 dollars a month on long distance runs and 2500 dollars a month with the Packard and the combination for running 3 or 4 hours out The BONNEVILLE WAS THE NEWEST I took a set of spindles out of a big wrecked Cadillac with disc brakes changed the front end out new tubeless tires in stead of tube tires it road smoother and would stop better than drum brakes had a good thing going until I got drafted momma sold all of my vehicles when it was over laws were changed now you have to be a embalmer or a funeral directors license

We know the odometer only goes to 100,000 miles. That odometer could have turned over a few times. I'm pretty sure it has more than once.
@JohnSmith-cf4gn not with orginal paint and that steering wheel. Plus pedals are flawless
