Great cinematic video of a beautiful part of Devon. We love this area but haven't done too much walking along the coast path. One for the future perhaps. 🙂
Thank you Martin, I'll be honest and say that this stretch was my least favourite part of the coast path. It's a nice walk but check out Beer to Branscome via Under Hooken (some great views) and Lyme Regis to Seaton via the Undercliffs, it's a really interesting walk historically and environmentally.
We walked this stretch on Tuesday but the weather was not that good tbh and by the time we got to Exmouth the heavy mist had become proper rain :-( We had hoped to go on to Teignmouth before heading home but having crossed the river on the Starcross ferry we called it a day. You have some great photos here and it is a stretch of the path that I will happily revisit - hopefully on a brighter day. Thanks for the video. I love following your journey with Pepper. She looks as though she loves the path too.
What a shame about the weather, Budleigh to Teignmouth is a fair distance to walk. I prefer to do smaller stages as Pepper is getting on a bit in years and filming can take a fair bit of time. I put up Exmouth to Dawlish earlier today but my next one will be from Dawlish to Teignmouth. Let's see how far I can get with day trips on the bus! Thanks for watching Penny, I appreciate it.
@@WalkingDevon I am not sure how much further we can get now without staying away a bit longer to complete a greater distance each time. There are less train/bus options in the fairly near future but I love a challenge and will work out a method somehow. Dear Pepper is clearly enjoying the walks and is also a good restraint as far as not overdoing it each day especially when you have the added task of filming. Keep them coming. I love seeing the path from someone else's perspective and you add some very interesting information too. Who knows we may bump into you on the path sometime - that would be nice. Thanks again.
I'm in the same boat as far as how far can I get using public transport, Devon is such a big county but I found a really useful resource for Devon public transport. I'm not sure links work in replies but it's www.cartogold.co.uk/Devon/map.html#devon or google "Devon Interactive Bus map" It covers all the operators not just Stagecoach and has all the timetables. Looking at trains is also an option for me as they're much faster and not as expensive as I thought if you go off peak. I do bump into people sometimes who watch my videos, it's funny because I forget I make videos when people recognise me until they say I watch your videos. I'm often out walking just for fun anyway so do say hi if you see me. I've still got plenty of ideas for walks so don't worry, there's more to come although I'm more of a fair weather walker nowadays so let's hope it stays nice for a while.
This brought back many happy memories for me,thank you :)
You're most welcome Bridget, I still remember my days out as a child to Exmouth myself.

This was lovely. Pepper is lovely too!
Thank you Tracy, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I may be a bit biased but I agree about Pepper.
