    My keto-mojo results are in! I tested myself 40 times over the course of the past 21 days. It was very interesting to see the impact of food on your blood ketone and blood glucose levels. I have a few tips to make sure you use your keto mojo correctly:
    1) measure same time every day and be consistent
    2) your goal should be under 100 for glucose and the sweet spot is 1.5 ketone levels (although to be considered in ketosis is .5 or higher)
    3) stress will increase glucose
    4) exercise can kick you out of ketosis temporarily
    5) the weeks I was in a deeper state of ketosis resulted in higher weight loss

    Jess you are a joy to watch! I just got my mojo meter, I haven’t tried it yet, I’m all ready to start tomorrow morning. Thanks for this informative video. I’ve been following a keto diet for several years, and I felt I needed something to help me fine tune and loose about 20-30 more pounds. I’ve lost over 120.

    The key is to get back to eating a keto diet as soon as possible if you elect to have some carbs. Note I said elect to have carbs. What you eat is always a choice. Being keto adapt you naturally make better choices. Keto for five years now and have learned a lot about how to live the keto life with ease.

    I used to freak out about the higher morning fasting glucose, especially since I was already testing, prior to my weight loss journey, when my sugars were borderline diabetic. Then I read about the" Dawn Phenomenon"- basically, your body gears up to prepare you to wake up, and raises your blood pressure, blood sugar, and other things, so you're able to get up and function. And THAT is what raises that morning sugar level. Also, the fasting sugar is a better indicator of liver function, since there's no food that you're reacting to, just the way your body is producing it's own sugar source😄💖

    I love my Keto Mojo! Bought one before starting Nutritional Ketosis 9 weeks ago. I usually track morning and night three days a week (M,W,F). I hit a GKI last week 0.7 just before breaking a 3 day fast. Thanks for your videos! I enjoy you advice and following your journey. I could not tell with this video but did you notice there is an strip eject button on the side of the reader? Your fist Mojo video you were pulling the strips out manually. Thanks for being you!

    Jess--- here you go again - perfect timing addressing another event that had just stressed me out!! I had 2 days this week that I just couldn't figure out why my Ketones had creeped down to 0.2-0.5 after that an starting out at 1.5 +! Duh-- I had worked out 😎 I learn so much from your videos so know that your journey is changing lives!

    It was interesting to hear about your glucose levels being higher on stressed days. My husband is diabetic and I had always heard this, I guess he will get to go to the golf course more often! 🤣

    You are so right save your money on test strips because half the time they don't work. I have been on Keto almost 2 months and I've lost 37 pounds but I want to know more accurately on my ketone levels so Thank you for your helpful ideas.

    Oh and did you know you can enter your readings in Carb Manager under My Measurements? It automatically figures your GKI.

    What would be really interesting to track as well is the correlation between GKI/weight loss and the food consumed. Being able to predict which meals resulted in the highest loss would be priceless. Thanks Jess for the information. You look fabulous!

    This video was very interesting. You didn’t have a high glucose level the morning after you had the fries bc you are not diabetic. After 2 hours of eating your glucose goes down again. I’m diabetic so I know how starch affects your blood glucose. You are doing a great observation with the stress and how it affects us. 👍🏼

    The “dawn effect” really freaked me out until I understood what was going on. My numbers were higher in the morning but like you said they are coming down (woohoo). 1.0 mmol/L is really good by my standards (lol). I have a Precision Xtra glucose/ketone meter. Didn’t know about Keto Mojo at the time. My strips (ketone) are expensive ~$2/strip!

    Great glucose reading. Mine is never under 100 during a 16 hour fast. I am not on KETO yet but working up to it. Did you have your glucose checked BEFORE KETO? Just curious.

    Blood ketones are lowest in the morning, especially if you’re fasting. The reason is the same as after a workout. You’ve used up your ketones through the night. 😊

    Teach us how to have the most ketones . I dont have a reader , and you lucky by the way to have a good glucose reading, mines is high it went from 103 to just now in running in mid 90s 😕

    Very informative video (as usual!) :) Question for you... I get up around 4:30AM and work out. Should I wait to test until after I work out, like 6:00AM since it is best to test around the same time? Will I see a drop or increase in my ketone levels after I have worked out? Thanks in advance for answering and for all that you do!

    Just got mine today. 7 weeks keto / carnivore and my GKI is 1.3. That was a surprise that it’s so low. Therapeutic keto so I guess autophagy.

      Same here...following faithfully, cant do weight machines cuz Covid, been dancing several times a week tho...def see the changes in body but weight? Cant seem to get the “last 20” off. Curiously, had “regular” sourdough pizza for NYE, 3 slices, and it was THEN that my mmol was finally a 1. v. the usual .5 (which had my friend rofl since it was higher ketone on the one “cheat meal” I had... Jess, help??! 🙄

    Very interesting! Oh by the way...I went to old navy today to try on those ripped jeans you got because I was curious about my size. I got in size 14!! Yay!! Also even though we are the same height and I'm at 212 pounds I wear a bigger size. Just goes to show that body composition definitely varies. Plus I don't workout lol but I do go for walks.

    Can you give sort of an outline if your day? When are you testing compared to when you are consuming food/drink? For example are you not drinking coffee until after you’ve taken kids to school and then come back and treated? I have a mojo but I can’t figure out the best times of day to test. I usually drink BPC before 7am.

      Omg, at 66 I would be shaky and feeling faint. I get really terrible symptoms below 70, which used to happen to me all the time when I was still eating carbs.
