Well done ged, great work, the cars really starting to take shape, depending on the condition of the headlights, replacing them with new ones would make a big difference to the condo of the car too, another cheap mod which makes a fresh impact is replacing the orange headlight indicator bulbs with silver ones, keep up the good work ged 😊
Great job your doing there Gerard I've an EG6 here that's in the same shape with rust hope to tackle it in the new year, that wazoyl is good stuff to, you should try Rustbullet that's serious stuff

Ged - check the front lower control arms for rust very carefully. EP3’s of this vintage are finding that they are starting to rust from the inside out and they snap. Ask me how I know!
what was the outcome of the rear bumper bar? did you manage to source one? mine failed the nct cause it’s rusted out but can’t get one in scrappers or motor factor’s! waiting on reply from honda for brand new one 🫣
Don't use waxoyl .. theirs stuff called dinatrol and it goes on like waxoyl but it sets then to a hard gel like. it protects up to 5-7 years u only get 2 years max out of the waxoly , and waxoly holds to much moisture and dirt
Considering doing this exact process to my ep3, only difference is I won't have access to a proper garage lift. You reckon I could spend time on it on Jack stands? Ps I can't wait till you get it done man!
The bumper bar did not receive much coating, that's for sure, the rest of the car is as expected for where the car was being driven, close to sea and roads get salted in winter. It will be back to it's best soon!

Does the surface rust need to be completely removed before waxoyl treatment or can it be applied on top of it?
From what I have been told by users yes, the Waxoyl long term results are dependent on the levels of cleaning, if it is done right it will last.

Yes it could be done on stands, at a guess I would say it takes probably a day or two extra but for sure could be done.
