    My Great Grandparents on my Father's side were from Lipari and Salina. I have been there and it's amazing.

    i was in Lipari three years ago...stayed 3 days Loved it...loved the smaller port on the far side of the island..touristy but the seafood was better over there and more quiet. I want to go to Vulcano really bad...do the mud bath that is right by the port. Wanted to do it on a family vacation with the parents but my 75 yo mom couldn't imagine doing it. Gotta go back and visit Lipari and Vulcano...still treasuring my pumice and my lava soaps from there

      Thank you for watching. We didn't manage to go to Vulcano but the island is on our list for the next time.

    Waww too much to see in that wonderful islands, I haven't been there before, but I have seen them in some films. Great video my Friends, thank you for share with us, the pastries look delicious ! As Martin said, I didn't know which one to choose!

      @TheWayWeSawIt  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Francisco. You have probably seen Stromboli with Ingrid Bergman, from Roberto Rossellini. Our next vlog will be from Stromboli. That volcano pastry was to die for, Martti is a big fan of ice cream so that went down very quickly.

    Ciao ragazzi! I came across your video today while researching the Aeolian islands. I am 53, and an American who now lives in Florence, Italy. In several months I am considering moving further south and I have been intrigued by Lipari, Salina, Stromboli, and the other islands even though I have not been there yet. What island would you recommend for living on long term and why? I appreciate any thoughts or ideas you can offer. Grazie, Paul in Firenze

      Well, living on an island a year round can be challenging. Every island is different so depending on your wants and needs, you might choose one that suits you. Thank you for watching.

    Very nice camerawork in this episode, gentlemen, especially the shots in the archeological museum.

      Merci d'avoir regardé. Nous y étions hors saison et effectivement il y avait moins de touristes. On s'imagine comment ça doit être en haute saison...

    Great video! Would you recommend living on Lipari for 5-6 weeks while working from my computer? I’m thinking about hiring an Airbnb. I like do hike, run, swim, taste wine and explore great food which I think this island could offer me?

    • @TheWayWeSawIt
      @TheWayWeSawIt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for watching. Living on Lipari is certainly a good option and you will be able to do all the things you mentioned. And if it starts to feel too small, you can hop on to the next island and discover more...

      You would enjoy it but make sure the internet connection is good. When I went in 1995 it was still a bit primitive.

    Why is there a Nazi Swatzsticker on the wall around the:36 mark?

    Oh my God, at 0:34 there is a swastika painted black on the wooden door! Right as you were talking, behind you at the little house.
