I had a 1.7 8v, dark blue, my first car and I still love the Alfa 33... the shape, the sound the rims...

πολύ καλό βίντεο συγχαρητήρια. Είχα μια 33 1.7 8v ΙΕ, καταλυτική, από το 1992 έως το 2010. Κινητήρας αθάνατος, αξιόπιστος, χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα, ήχος θεσπέσιος. Θα τη θυμάμαι για πάντα.

this was the second car I owned , I had to sell it after a year because it was breaking down all the time, bit I still remember driving this the very first time coming from golf 2 1,6 It was glorious :-). Nice video btw

cruise at 4500rpm and tune your ears in to listen to everything going on, intake rush, cams and exhaust note - like an orchestra. Fantastic, charismatic, joyful and all but unknown car of the 80s and 90s. Owned mine for about ten years but had to sadly get rid eventually. Rather anti-socially I used to accelerate hard and shift up under a certain local railway bridge to get the echo back. Spinetingling wasn't the word. Legend in our household and because of g**gle streetview I can still see it parked outside!
I also see my 145 on Google earth, I know how you feel! 😊
What strikes me the most about Alfa Romeo's is that even models with a boxy design like this one look hot and sexy. Afla Romeo has an amazing appeal throughout.
Like most Pininfarina designs, this one looks not a bit dated after 30 years!

Mi padre tuvo un imola 1351cc con 90cv motor boxer sonido precioso. Pero el 1.7 boxer 16v 137cv era una bestia que pone en apuros a coches mas potentes porque trasmite el motor igual que una moto ducatti

I had that car and the most beautiful woman in the world by my side it was the most fun i have ever had. We used go ride around in my car, windows open music blaring and i would be feeling love.

The 33 is my favourite car, I ave one 33 1.3 Imola And a 75 2.0 Ts with a 75 1.6 gear box, But I prefear anyways the Little 33 becouse is indistructible, And easier And economics To repair is always funny To drive, I use It offten on track, my 33 was also 40th times on track with only regular maintenance.

Parts for this car are hard to find
Bella e veloce auto, ma con due difetti:
1) sterzo con troppe reazioni soprattutto in accelerazione
2) le versioni con impianto misto frenavano poco e male. Un difetto veramente insolito per un Alfa, ma in questo modello i freni erano quasi al limite del sottodimensionamento.
The only car I ever regret selling was my 33s cloverleaf permanent 4 🙁

La ricordo la 33 17 quadrifoglio di papà nera poi la 155v6 e prima la 90 e infine una 145 Quadrifoglio che è stata la mia prima auto.....leggermente preparata andava un bel Po però consumava un casino.....per farci casa università 60km al di ci voleva una petroliera ero sistematicamente sotto i 9km al litro......

Forse era la prima serie della 145 quadrifoglio. In effetti consumava moltissimo anche considerando le notevoli prestazioni. Ma, se ben ricordo, dopo un pò l 'Alfa modificò la mappatura della centralina con una che faceva consumare meno (senza però perdere in CV o prestazioni). Con la vecchia mappatura infatti era facile fare anche solo 6/7 km/l in città

Due considerazioni:
la prima è che quel volante in legno (caratteristica e bellezza di molti modelli Alfa) secondo me su questa 33 sta malissimo. Stona tantissimo col resto della plancia in plastica nera.
la seconda che stranamente pur essendo Alfa come motore e tenuta come freni andava malissimo. Era un impianto misto quasi sottodimensionato: Quattroruote nella prova su strada disse della 1.7 16v che aveva la frenata "appena sufficiente".
Confermo che l'ho provata di persona: frenando rimpiangevo la mia Uno 903...Meno male che optional c'era un Abs a 4 dischi!

Is this a front-wheel drive or 4WD car?

I own this special type. A 1,7 liter 16V but with the Sportswagon body. It was from the design standpoint the perfect car in its metalic grey. (paint- only breathe thick) After 50.000 km from new, the synchronizer ring form the second gear was rotten, the third was coming. All this without heavy racing style driving. The body roll while braking from front to end was anyway very unpleasant like a carousel horse. If you fill the tank, after the half fillment, you must watch out carefully not to get a heavy amount of gasoline from the aperture on to your clothes. Don´t get me wrong. This was a great, great car, but the production quality was horrible!
