Also being an engineer you can go more in depth about circuit topologies of equipment which is a great bonus for the viewers. I like the mix of modern to vintage gear you showcase also, keeps it from being boring. Not overly boring videos is a huge plus!

    This being the 2nd time I have heard the Jubilees, I'm impressed. The 1st was your video, in the retail location. The electronics are different, so that would more than likely be the reason for difference in sound. These sound real. The bass guitar sounds like he's in the room, you can hear his finger leaving the string, and Mark's voice wavered a bit in the 1st verse, which I never noticed in over 30 years of listening to this track. Loved the video and the info, especially the specs. Very helpful, thank you.

    You are right as I run four Heritage Klipsch Speakers, a pair of K - horns up front on A channel and B Channel a pair of Klipsch Belle’s, room 28x26’ , double insulated, vinyl flooring. A old Marantz 2325, that can drive to live entertainment at around quarter volume ! The speakers say 131db ! They will bring the hair up on your arm ! I’ve ran these for over thirty years . I’ve replaced woofers ect but everything is easily fixed in minutes. I’ve blown the old Marantz out every few years with my air compressor. Still Rocks this House ! I can’t believe this stuff over 40 years old ! Unbelievable, I’ve got my money worth times over ! Pure Entertainment !

    • @johnross6314

      You are historical vintage museum curator! You are living history. Which should be passed on. With Klipsch, a good clean running SS receiver of the day (pre IC amps) is better than the snooty weird stuff that costs a fortune for inferior “live” sound. Your outfit, today, would measure with human ears and testing gear right at the top of the heap.
      You know why the Belle Klipsch was made? Loaded question. I do, first hand right from Paul. Personally, I like the sound better than the LaScala.
      As a late teen cut my teeth with K-Horns front with Belle in center, and Belle (2) for back channels. Running Mac 2105s each for front and rear. Center channel was old school positive from left and right attached to the center Belle. Used the pre-amp SQ/Discrete outputs with either JVC, Marantz, Pioneer receivers into the 2105s. This was a gadget set up of the day. We all dreamed of “home theater” to come. The “quad” quality source material was scarce.
      Most the time, I ran things with front/center only playing Sheffield Labs direct to disc, or Mobile Fidelity. And of course great pressings of Pink Floyd. The room was perfect for the extending the folding horn along the walls and the room. When wearing a tie, it would move with the bass.
      The millennials and iGen/GenZ generations are keen to what we represent. Unlike generations right behind us who have lost/not interested our history. As a long time general aviation pilot, they soak up anything from our generation. They are learning how to fly in droves. Point is, they love the pure audio of our day. Please keep on promoting what you have created. It will be appreciated.
      One last note. For anyone questioning the history. My dad was called out specifically bynPaul in one of the Paul Klipsch Museum YT publication of some old video tape. It is a funny and 💯% true story Paul told.
      @SkyFiAudio another great video.

I got through the album and told my brother in law and the sales man I was going to own that system ! It was unbelievable back then and still is today ! @@Flevoman I had thought that would be the case, too. I was sure the Jubilee would be become my endgame speaker after I listened to it. And they are amazing. Earth shaking and beautiful. However, there’s no room big enough to make them make sense to your brain, especially in my case as an avid movie watcher. I never thought I’d say this but the scale is too big for a residential use case unless you’ve converted a triple size barn. The second is more intangible. The La Scala for me had this instant deeply emotional impact for everything I listened to on them. I don’t know if I could describe it better than that. It was the feeling I got far more than anything analytical. I’m happy for you! You have what for me are my endgame speakers.

    These are epic loud speakers. In the 80s I was a young boy at 11 years old. We went to my father's partner house and he had a set of Jubilee's. What do you want to hear? AC/DC Back in Black. Flopped the vinyl, which was in a closet for damping vibrations. He cranked it. I've never heard Angus Youngs voice sound so alive you could hear every note.
    Most radio stations will increase the voice on this song. But it was recorded to sound like the singer is almost in another room. The back up singers "you're so far" is always up front on the radio. It's supposed to sound like they are outside on the road distance away. Those speakers nail it. One thing I like about Jubilee's is that have a set of French doors leading into the house and the sound follows you. Crank it up and they project great near and distance sound field. Something that I noticed with reviews about the Jubilee's or any Kilpch speakers. They never mention the capabilities of sound projection. When a speaker downstairs can project to the upstairs and across the street. Yeah.
    Side note: I heard those same Jubilee's from the 80s just with a factory maintenance. They sit in the same room and still sound absolutely amazing. That's around four decades or rocking all forms of music. Even bass heavy techno. No problem. Thanks. Definitely worth it. They are on my wishlist. I do like my 8000s though.

    • @SkyFiAudio
      @SkyFiAudio  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good point about projection, I forgot to mention how good they are at this. I guess it comes from the original theater design where the speaker has to reach everyone in the venue. Thanks for writing sir, great background.

    I can't comment on the bass driver power ratings, but the compression driver is made by Celestion using their 7" Axiperiodic annular diaphram, and is listed as having an AES 2 hour full bandwidth power rating of 150 watts, with a 3db crest factor of 300 watts. Depending on where the driver is being crossed over and the horn cutoff point, this could go up or down somewhat, and would coincide with the ratings supplied by Klipsch. As for why Klipsch chose to use this driver in the Jubilee, I assume it was related more to it's extremely wide useable bandwidth (300Hz-15KHz), rather than it's enormous output capabilities. For anyone interested, there is a great youtube video about the development of this driver given by Jack Oclee Brown, director of engineering at KEF and Celestion

    • @SkyFiAudio

    a. put the TV on a heavy duty articulating mount so that a. it floats aesthetically b. is easier to service without moving the electronics cabinet and visa versa c. I listen to Dire Straits quite a bit , The extension is quite good, but definitely lacking something in the vocals, Overall, I think they lack substance, considering the size of them, and some very high-end amplification, I would’ve thought they would sounded a lot better,
    I am hoping to move my music room up into my attic next year, Heating is going to be very difficult, as it is a very large area, 12m x 7m x 6.7m to ridge, I might end up building a smaller room, up there, great review, stay safe, keep up the great review, Phil from the moulin,
