Yes, I'm a warrior. Fight me! 😉 Justice is part two of a two-part series, the first one is OOTD, which intentionally sounds very differently. While OOTD was about falling for the temptations of modern life and a satire on narcissism (especially influencers and fast fashion), I believe Justice is telling us to fight those temptations for a better world. It is a call to become a warrior for good in the world and fight the materialism that seems to be the most important thing for so many people in the developed countries. You can see JiU break the bonds that hold her down, and we should do the same. Please note that this is just my interpretation. Art can be interpreted in different ways, and other opinions are just as valid as mine. Musically, I love the song. The guitars in the pre-chorus and chorus are pure heaven (just like Dongie with her wings). It has the right amount of heaviness for me, and it is an anthem and a call to action. I also love that they shortened the pre-chorus by two bars in the second half, throwing us into the chorus early. Justice is a brilliant, epic release, showing everyone that a group can still produce fantastic music and MVs after seven and a half years.
Thanks for checking out Dreamcatcher's Justice! They always release music of substance, never chasing fads or trends, and they always have a message to deliver. And, they do it while managing to release banger after banger. I hope you check out more of their work.
Red, blue or D r e a m c a t c h e r's dystopian purple pill? Pick the right one before you dive into this rabbit hole because EITHER WAY you ain't ever gonna get out of this Dream World once you do. 😎
Yeah this does hint at fighting injustices towards women, but DC normally speaks on a much broader and wide spectrum. I would say this is more fight against injustices toward all people (men, women and children), animals and environmental/planet. Its about standing up and fighting back against ALL injustices in the world. Coz no one is going to fight for us so it's up to us to protect us and those around us. Whether that be human, animal or nature. We have to fight for justice when we see injustice
Omg reallyyy I saw this video so many times, and I listen to this music every day and just because of you I understand better ,and perceive some things , I just loved your Analysis , and this is part 2 of and story, the first MV is OOTD, please react more to Dreamcatcher 🙌🏼
When it comes to Dreamcatcher it is truly all about art. AMD THEIR VOCALS?! They are literally insane cause how can they be THIS talented 😭 Love your interpretation of the story (DC's stories do have set themes but also make it open enough for it to be interpreted differently by people) If you liked their response to misogyny in this one, you might also like to know the girls changed the misogynistic lyrics in their Bang Bang Bang cover 😉 From the sound to the MV and storyline it trulyis just art. This particular story is a follow up of OOTD where the girls played the roles of these money and power hungry beings but here they are Valkyries ready to protect those that fight for Justice ❤ Will absolutely look forward to watching more of your DC reactions if you decide to do more of them ❤😊
About WOMEN? I think she’s onto something there. Justice is portrayed as a lady, blind, and Hesiod say makes her the child daughter Dike. Those are the oppressed whome justice serves after all, the female, disabled, and innocent children. Yoohyeon in the dog collar? She’s the puppy of the group - that’s her animal. Siyeon in the weighted chain and flames? She’s the wolf and Charity/Caring in this, even for those subjected to Justice, I’d say. I won’t write an essay; other people know about the paintings depicted and such, but Jiu is Temperance/Forbearance (flashing the See-No-Evil sign making me think of “Odd Eye”), Gahyeon is Faith/Grit, Yoohyeon is Prudence/Wisdom, Dami is Fortitude/Spirit (eagle meaning freedom, you say?), Handong is Justice/Judgement (the Archangel Uriel holding the glowing sphere), Sua the dancer/choreographer is Hope/Inspiration with her army of blind dancers setting the scene of the coming battle. Korea had their royalty taken by Japanese invaders, so I see it more as sacrificing the crown than overthrowing it. Also Siyeon being my main bias I kinda see her as the queen here, to be honest . . . Well, that’s just getting started but surely far too much already. Enjoy your insomnia . . .
Welcome to the DreamWorld! Your analysis with all the references is spot on. If you enjoy diving into deep messages and symbolism, you’ll love exploring Dreamcatcher’s other songs and MVs. Each one is full of hidden meanings and stories. Can’t wait to see more of your reactions! 😁
I prefer when we can come up with a lore for their music videos more than the fixed lore. This is part two of the versus duology with ootd being part one focussing on them being the villains. As for the greek myth bit I like that reading. In their villains album they have a song about Medusa who was forced into the role of a villain by her circumstances and while all the girls play the role of medusa at different points in the choreo, the girl in red here (Siyeon) is Medusa and turns everyone to stone at the very end so I like the idea of the two connecting and it kind of playing into the reading that Medusa sort of let herself be killed by Perseus thereby being freed from athena's curse. Just a dumb thought lmao.

Thank you for reacting to more Dreamcatcher! "If you (dis)agree, put it in the comments" I agree that it's about Justice (shocker, right 😅). All the Lady Justice references (blindfolds, covering of the eyes, sword, etc). And that it's a call to fight against oppression/temptation/power/bonds/shackles/etc. I do disagree, however, that it's about justice for just women. And that it's just limited to fighting patriarchy. I liked your comment about using your votes (or rights and voice in general), but, again, in my opinion, it's not just about women doing so. This is actually the 2nd part of the VERSUS duology. The 1st part is OOTD. Where they took the role of fighters of justice in JUSTICE, in OOTD they have opposite roles. They are villains there.
Live version is amazing, Siyeon (main vocalist) had to be absent and the girls (Handong, Yoohyeon, Sua, Gahyeon) if I'm missing someone, sorry.... they took care of the high notes..... spectacular 👌
Most of Dreamcatcher songs also have high quality actual live versions (maybe with cuts for the best live take or so here and ther) which further shows their insanity :3
dreamcatcher \:D/ you might have more to work with if you saw ootd which is part 1 of the duology. dreamcatcher often leaves their lyrics ambiguous so you can interpret multiple ways. the women aspect is definitely part of the duology theme but I think they go a little broader in general.
9:05 You'll love the girl group "Le Sserafim", start with the name, has many discursion about religious dogmas, empowerment and patriarchy. React pls to "Burn The Bridge", is an album intro and trailer too.

Isn't this one more towards women tho? The apple point to it
The imagery in the video definitely talks more about women than anything, it’s really obvious lol
