    W/S is such an underrated brand. I have a set of fitted Di7's, Harmonised wedges, and an Infinite "The Bean" double milled mallet putter. The putter is absolutely amazing and incredible value.

    Great video on a classic putter with history. Thank you. I have this putter, an older 8802 and one 8813. They look and play great. No intention of parting with them yet. The true value of a putter is subjective. To me, they are worth more than the eBay asking price because they are great functional collectibles.

    I own one and I love it. Similar to blade irons in that the feedback is awesome. You can feel it when you miss hit it and you get that shiver when you pure it.
    Phil M. Plays this style. Best for a player that has an arc in their stroke apposed straight back and straight through.

    I'm the mug who just sold mine for £118 in the ebay screenshot there!!!! I bought this putter when i feel out of love with my 2 ball to get back to basics. It felt amazing and i found it worked incredibly well on lag putts. I did struggle a bit on those 6fters that you really want to be holing. Great work Simon. Only sold it as it was staring at me doing nothing...

    After burning through several more modern putters I wanted to get back into a blade. When this latest version of the 8802 was released I got one pretty much unseen. Took it to the course first chance I got. Didn't get to take it on the practice green, went right to the 1st tee. First putt was about a 10-12 footer that didn't do much. Bang! It hasn't left my bag since.

    There is a reason Phil Mickleson uses this style of putter to this day. I have an original 8802 with leather grip, and as Simon says it is a great feel putter and does teach you to hit that sweet spot to get a perfect roll, and when you do Wow! Does it ever feel good. You know you’ve hit a good putt. It also gives you great distance control once mastered, a lot less three putts. The elephant in the room is that you need to practice with it to get good. Thanks for the review.

    1. This is the first 8802 I’ve seen with an alignment mark. I’ve one from the early 90’s and one of the centenary release and neither has an alignment mark. Never seen any 8802 with it, but yours does?

      @davidmcnamara3243 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bronty is a copy of the Wilson 8802, right down to the fluted shaft.
      The grip is like many putter grips, from the 60s and 70's : rock hard! Just like the putters that you used to hire asa kid when you played crazy golf, or pitch and putt.
      Unlike the modern soft spongy grips, it does not absorb vibrations, so all the feel from the head is transmitted to the hands.
      The feel is on another level and the feedback is like a tuning fork.
      I have a £400 Bettinardi mizuno answer style putter, which in comparison, feels like a brick on a stick!
