    Would I be able to use these in a three unit apartment building? But I would only need each individual unit to be interconnected, like three smoke detectors per unit. I wouldn’t want the smoke detectors to go off in one unit and trigger them for all the other ones. Would With the fix for this issue be just to have one primary smoke for each unit? Or if you could explain more detail

    Can I connect Kiddo Interconnect hardwired detector with the battery backed Kiddo smoke detectors?

    You seem to be very knowledgeable on the Kidde product line. I am looking to replace my old alarms with an interconnected system, preferably battery only, and that connects to the Kidde App. Which device would that be?

    Hi Eric, very informative video for this you are really being congratulated,
    I have 1 question, is can I pair my existing wired and battery-only operated smoke alarms and carbon monoxide/smoke alarm with Kidde wireless P4010 or I can pair it with P 4010 to any other branded smoke/ carbon smoke alarms? I am gonna be very much obliged for this??

    Im wondering why do I have to connect them? lets say I have one unit in the kitchen once in the basement, is the one in the kitchen triggers for a cooking smoke, the one in the basement will sound too?

    The Green Circle light goes out in the Dark. To see if the unit is power with 120VAC Shine a strong light at the center of the Detector and the Green Circle light will on. This was put into units to turn the light off at night when installed in a bedroom .

    and how are they installed. just screw anywhere in the ceiling or you need wiring in the ceiling?

    • @CostPlusElectric
      @CostPlusElectric  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The battery only models just screw up on the ceiling! The hardwired models (with a battery backup) will need to be wired to an existing alarm system.

    Do the wires have to be used? I am interested only in wireless.

    • @CostPlusElectric
      @CostPlusElectric  ปีที่แล้ว

      On the hard-wired & inter-connectable models, the wires do not have to be used. A lot of our contractors just stub the wires up in the ceiling if need be.

    Thank you for the video, very helpful.
    First a comment, please don't have background music as it's hard to here the feedback of the units you are doing a demo.
    You mention twice in the video that of you do not know the first unit that was used, to disconnect all units first. How do you do that???
    Do you hold the button down for 5 second on each, until you hear the three tones? Did anyone know?
    Thanks

    Could I set up these wireless smoke alarms with hard wire kidde smoke alarms?

    • @CostPlusElectric
      @CostPlusElectric  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can! As long as the smoke/combo unit has wired capability.

      So to be clear, my old i4618 AC interconnected kidde smoke detector does not connect to the new wireless interconnected system? My old ones are hard wired. I want to install two new wireless ones so I don’t have to run wires thru the ceiling. And have them all work together obv.

      These alarms function on Bluetooth! So if you lose Wifi, the alarms will not be effected.
