I needed to know how to screw the orange bracket in, and the video skipped just that
Use a drill a bit the same size as the orange anchor then drill a hole put the orange anchor in. Place the plastic bracket that will hold in the smoke detector then screw it in place.

Those screws don’t even fit in the orange anchors. There’s at least a quarter inch of the screw still visible when I put them in. How is there no information about this anywhere?

For this model the battery is not removable. Some of them have a cover for 9-volt battery, those are changeable.
10 year lithium battery. When 10 years is up or it no longer works when tested, remove and replace the entire unit.

@simonuy7863 if the old one is the same model. One thing unique about this model, it is activated by it being twisted into the holding bracket. Most likely, any other model bracket, will not work.

Not sure why it says that. The smoke alarm is not active until it's attached to the mounting plate. The mounting plate pushed the tab automatically.

Question I just installed this smoke alarm , seems pretty easy and thank you for your helpful video, now is the smoke alarm supposed to have a light on ???? Blinking?? Or not ?? I don’t see a light on , should there be a green light ?
Mine has a red light that blinks every 30 seconds I believe. Some have green light that does the same thing.

You can buy a 9v battery OR a lithium battery costs less than $10 ...the alarm costs $20- $45. There is the answer: M O N E Y. They COULD make the battery replaceable but they chose to gouge you buy another alarm.and pollute the earth because you have to throw the old one away. (please take it to an eWaste facility.) I will probably buy a different company's alarm next time.

How do you change the battery
The battery in this smoke detector is permanent. If yours take a 9 volt battery it's replaceable. If it is like the one in the video then you need a new unit.
It has a sealed battery!

I installed the same one you have in this video and the red light doesn't come on but when I test it it does. It beeps and everything. Seems like yours does the same. Is it supposed to do that?

Thank you for the video I just installed one for my neighbor she is mute so I help her from time to time but after I installed it wouldn't stop chirping is that normal?
There should be a hush button. I would press that. Then I would press the test button to make sure that it is working. Finally I would press the hush button to stop the chirping.

if she's mute it shouldn't matter if it's chirping
