I’m a big VR guy, I can’t imagine playing without it. MS24 is well behind MS2020. I tried hard to enjoy 24, but I went back to 2020. When I went back to 2020 I was blown away how much better it worked. I will stick with 2020 for a while until 24 catches up, especially since inbuilds is releasing the a350 on both sims now. Thanks for the great videos as always.
It's the opposite for me. Never smoother, never better-looking, in 2024. i9-14900k, 4080 Super, 32Gb RAM. The secret, as far as I'm concerned, is don't be greedy with the visual settings.
Mouse still doesn't work on xbox, I do hope we don't have to wait for the sim update for a fix. I've re installed 2020, as 24 is useless without mouse. Thanks for the videos! Always informative
All default aircraft and any airports should be downloadable to free up the servers. It's not possible for MS to sustain fully streamed content with any consistency there are just too many variables to overcome at present imo. We should have the option to download areas you fly over frequently as well.
When they can't even get the settings to do what you ask: E.G: Select windscreen to HIGH and it reverts back to MEDIUM as soon as you save and go back. I had to hack the game's settings file in Windows so I could keep it on HIGH and actually see rain effects in the cockpit. And this is a bug they said they resolved but clearly haven't. I have no trust in devs anymore. Then there's the controls while flying. Sometimes they just stop working. Sometimes you exit camera mode and your plane suddenly goes into a crazy nose dive for no reason and cannot be saved
I appreciate your highlighting the MSFS2024 VR functionality improvements and current challenges. Have I missed it, or has there been an acknowledgement and discussion about the issue in VR concerning the unrealistic shifting reflections in the water as one slightly moves their head? This is most noticeable at the interface of water and features on land. The same issue was of concern when VR was first implemented in MSFS2020. It was addressed during an MSFS2020 subsequent update, but the issue is back with introduction of MSFS2024.
I am using Xbox game pass to get to know MSFS2024. It is not a cheap game starting at 80€, however as a flight sim fan I would eagerly spend the amount, especially considering VR experience. But… NO. I do not accept this approach and considering gamers to be fools buying everything MS/ASOBO will drop. NO to beta mockup with many key features simply not working. NO to bugs at almost every step. And I truly understand each game needs some stabilization time after launch, but here comes the worst part: judging from MS2020, which has been suffering from some bugs (flight plan, skipping to next flight stage, replay and many many more) from its first day until NOW, I have no doubt this will be the case for MS2024. And I deeply regret it, because it could be absolutely top sim. But not with this approach: they already paid, so they can kiss us in the a…. Games like GZW are constantly getting updates, patches, hotfixes, new features. Constantly, every one-two weeks! With a small dev team. Because they care. Stalker 2 gets a huge update with some 1600 fixes(!) just a couple weeks since launch from dev team affected by real war. Because they care. Fat cats in ASOBO correct in a meanwhile stupid things like a message on Steam account merging! Landing challanges are unplayable? No free flight can be done from A to Z? Who cares? ASOBO don’t, they already got the cashflow… So NO. Not from me. And it is not about min. 80€, were it 8€, I would do the same. NO to disregarding customers, treating them as idiots who will buy everything. I can hardly resist a feeling ASOBO is just another Ubisoft
I am really happy that, not believing in Microsoft statements, I have waited and not purchaised MSFS2024 yet. I am enjoying MSFS2020 and all its free and pay addons while you are struggling with a very poor beta release. Even with MSFS2020 I waited one year before purchaising.
ON XBOX …Static ground vehicles and aircraft look like polygons… skylines of cites from a distance look like pyramids and spikes from a few miles away needs to be addressed. ALSO AIRPORT BEACON LIGHTS ARE MISSING! That’s kinda important…
I am completely new to MSFS and I really like it, although all the trouble. Looking forward to upgrade my old RTX2070 for a RTX5000 series and then a VR headset.
I'm still undecided if I would switch from FS2020 to FS2024. I have an older system nut 2020 runs mostly fine on it. But I see lots of people struggling with 2024. Are there people who changed over with a low end system and what's your experience?
This thing is crazy how do I get the top hat on my controller to work because it's all messed up and I have the X52 controllers and it worked perfect with 2020 but it is crazy with 2024

Yea it works to manipulate controls and objects in cockpit but not look around
We need default aircraft local storage now, please 😂

Exclusive VR user here too. Staying on 2020 until things drastically improve and the PMDG birds are in.
Keep up the good work! Following you since FS2020 and what we ride we are experiencing
Hope this sim gets better as soon as possible, it is kind of a mess right now, really analyzing to install 2020 again!
Do you have OCD? WHY would you even delete 2020? 2020 is the best
@galaxy-xp5nn disk space xD
I went back to 2020 and I don’t regret it at all. I love VR flying.
@@allenaztec8065 2020 is the best
FS2020/FS2024 in vr, -30% fps, so, back to 2020 😞
Thank you for the update. I’m enjoying MSFS 2024 ,especially since some of my favorite aircraft are now compatible with MS 2024.
Looking forward to getting the first VR update, fingers crossed more VR performance updates in the pipeline.

Great video as always. Have a Happy New Year!
Thanks to MSFS 2024 that I feel MSFS 2020 feels so much cutting edge, so much smoother and without any glitches

Can't wait for the improvements, this sim is in an early stage and very promising.
