I had read about this battle a few years ago. Guru Gobind Rai had the support of Pathans and a Pir. The kings bought over the Pathans to their side and Guru saheb was left with only the Sikh followers and the Pir who lent him his two sons as a form of repentment of the betrayal of Pathans. When battle happened, the Pathans were pushed ahead as the front line of attack. Their leader was Hayat Khan who got killed by another Guru in the Sikh army. As soon as their leader fell, the Pathans left the battle and fled, leaving the two sides stranded. One of the kings and several Gurus had died by then. Guru Gobind Rai and Bhim Chand entered a mutual understanding to end the battle. Bhim Chand later visited the Guru to establish good relations with him and apologize for his actions.

I had read about this battle a few years ago. Guru Gobind Rai had the support of Pathans and a Pir. The kings bought over the Pathans to their side and Guru saheb was left with only the Sikh followers and the Pir who lent him his two sons as a form of repentment of the betrayal of Pathans.
When battle happened, the Pathans were pushed ahead as the front line of attack. Their leader was Hayat Khan who got killed by another Guru in the Sikh army. As soon as their leader fell, the Pathans left the battle and fled, leaving the two sides stranded. One of the kings and several Gurus had died by then.
Guru Gobind Rai and Bhim Chand entered a mutual understanding to end the battle. Bhim Chand later visited the Guru to establish good relations with him and apologize for his actions.
