@AvAngel Thank you again for your lovely words on the Albatross. It's much appreciated. I 'get' the favourite engine thing as well. A big update is on the way, pretty soon now I think, with lots of bug fixes, several improvements and one fun new little feature. Cheers!
I’m pretty in line with this. The Corvallis has become my standard straightforward point-A-to-point-B aircraft where those two points are close enough to not need a jet to get between them in a reasonable amount of time (when they are farther I like to fly the Vision Jet). Norden is my standard bush plane, for when I get to point B and want to check out the little rural dirt strips in the surrounding area. Though I also use the Draco for this sometimes too. And now that my travels have taken me into the inside passage, the natural home of seaplanes, I have started to fly the Albatross (specifically the civilian variant, more for the homey interior than for the modernized avionics. I fly lots of different helicopters, including the G2, though my favorite is probably the h225 just because it auto trims so that I don’t have to mess with force trim (or wear my arm out holding the stick forward). I will have to give the Beaver a try soon. I flew the sea plane variant sometimes in 2020 but haven’t tried in 2024 yet. Plus, I fly in VR now, and want to see that beautiful retro cockpit in full 3d.
Cool video and list, appreciate it! My personal favorite is the Carenado R66 helicopter, flies really well and has great visibility. Looking forward to your videos in the new year :)
Its hands down the paraglider for me. I only tried it when nothing else was working as I thought it would be a gimmick, but it's pretty awesome! Flying over a town with the engines off you get to hear how good the in game sounds are. Its my go to if I dont have much time to spend
The 404 is probably my favorite plane in the sim. I flew the Cessna 414 back in MSFS so it was easy to get comfortable in the 404, and all the new features I just love.
That's basically true. I hate to sound Biased as do know the guys and hang on their discord, but they have yet to drop a klanger. They put love and effort in and it shows... they're also very nice people.
Yeah. Also, I re-enabled the Double Ender in 2024 and took it for a spin. It seems to fly like I remember it flying, i.e. really good. It’s not officially a 2024 plane, but if you got it for 2020 it should still work. Haven’t tried the others yet.
Great show! I too love the Grumman and the Titan but I still lean towards the Cirrus over the C400 as it's ground handling and instrument layout. Thanks for this and have a wonderful new year!
I get your beginner Heli choice. My favourite heli to fly in the sim atm is the R66. Less forgiving, but has very nice flight dynamics, and a bit more power. I wish my Cowan 500e would not crash to desktop, as that heli is super fun. Anyhow, nice vid and happy new year. I have not been flying for several weeks after one too many VR issues just made me super fed up. I am missing flying. I wish they would put some effort into fixing the toolbar and mouse functionality in VR, so I can get back in the cockpit. EDIT: had a fly, and pleased to report that the Toolbar was functioning in VR. Had to map the TAB key to both options, and it has been functioning pretty well. Super happy.
Love your endless insights. So exciting for me to try aircraft I should have flown (but still haven't) in the sim. Thanks so much. Happy New Ears to you. Barty 🥸
I play on XBOX and I need my Learjet 35 I'm almost exclusively into small single prop planes but one jet is necessary and it's such a classic, also in MSFS terms.
I agree 100 percent with this list! Another Awesome well produced video AvAngel! You truly are the GOAT. (Goddess Of Aviation Themed sim-videos) 👍🏽Given!
Currently, there is a Basler BT-67 aircraft flying over Cornwall at 600ft, saw it over my house 3 times today. Looks like a DC3, just thought you would be excited by that info.
As a glider pilot in RL I would prefer the much more performing Stemme S12 tmg. I have flown the older version (there us one on my airport) and, despite the fact that is only for highly experienced pilots it is a real beast in performance (more than 50 efficiency! ), unlkely from the Taurus (only 15 mt wingspan, little engine and two seat, even not!).
I’m a little surprised with the Saab 340 pick. Beautiful looking airplane but the FMC seems to be a little buggy. Hopefully Carenado gives this bird some love.
Nice list. I am still on the fence on whether to buy MSFS 2024 just yet. While it appears to be in a lot better shape than launch day I am thinking that waiting a bit more for them to get more of it sorted out may be the wiser choice. My original guesstimate was about the 6 month mark give or take. Also not sure which version would be the better option. The base version seems pretty well balanced although there are a couple of planes in the higher versions that grab my attention. BTW why is the DC3 your fav? Thanks for your input and sharing this list and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I always go for the base vesion, although on this occasion I wish I'd waited.Give it 'till 2026 by which time it should be what we orinally paid for.........................
@@AvAngel I have liked it as well for some time now. I have been in the fully restored one at the CR Smith Museum and imagined what it would have been like to have been around in its hay day of aviation. The ramp like effect of the center isle is quite a thing. If you are in the DWF area and get a chance to visit there I would highly recommend it.
Nice video! Thanks for providing starting points among what can be an overwhelmng array of aircraft in the sim. 4 years on and I still haven't flow all the stock a/c in MSFS 2020.
Please tell us why your version of FS 2024 is working so well whereas my version has awful sound distortion and of course non functioning Tobii head tracking.Go on, have a good gloat..........................................
It's not always working well, but i dont have sound distortion. I dont use Tobii, I use freetrack and a normal head tracking system. I'm not gloating, it sucks, and i have my own share of problems too Russel! I'm making do.
I have never been happier than to have not spent money on a game. And I wanted this one a lot... I went back to playing 2020. I miss some of the 2024 flight planning features, but on PC I just use little nav map. I sim on both PC and Xbox series s. The series s 2020 crashes a lot these days. I guess technically, gamepass is money, but I play a lot of other games and do cloud and remote play with it.
I absolutely hate the Beaver. It should be cool, but in career mode, you can get dinged just for lowering the flaps or skipping taxiing. And it qualifies for so many mission types that it clutters up the career mode mission picker. It's enough for it alone to make me recommend not getting the tailwheel endorsement in career mode.
I dont think that will happen... it didn't in 20, id love it to but im not optimistic. Id love to love the seastar but the turboprops run too agressive on water to stay still
Did I have memory loss in the middle of the video or did you not include the Draco? Is this the real AvAngel? 😅 Jk Great list actually. The Corvallis is far better then the SR22 in sim, I am bias though because it's the second plane I flew IRL.
First: Happy new year!🎉 Second: interesting video format, I would love to see more AA-Top10s in '25🔥 Third: since launch I basically only flew autogyro and airship in FS'24. Now I need to try out some of those 🤔😅
I’m dreaming for Cardenado to release the twin Aero Commander 690🙏🏻, also a more decent version of the Boeing 314 for local legend would be a good add on
Great video! Can you follow this up with your top 10 places to fly out of? Secret hidden bush strips, etc.
I shall!
Carenado R66 should definitely be on everyone’s list to fly if you fly helicopters. They did an excellent job with it!

Thank for the list. I’ve enjoyed your content for a while and always meant to mention it.

I am loving 2024 msfs I am into the small sea planes but I really am liking the jet one with the parachute
I love your energy, easy sub 😊 cheers!
Flew the Norden in Papua New Guinea yesterday. I am sure it was born there. Great video again thanks AV
Welcome back from the holiday. Happy new year!

Hi avangel can you do a flight around the canaries taking off from Aeródromo del Jarde
Ur videos are fire btw ok bye
I'll agree with every single one of your picks. Mmmm can I add my 337 on there though? My dream antique lol. It's better than lil blue pills hahaha
If we had one in sim sure, I'd love it too. Lovely old girl.

Indeed

And it qualifies for so many mission types that it clutters up the career mode mission picker. It's enough for it alone to make me recommend not getting the tailwheel endorsement in career mode.
Is that a problem with the Beaver, or a problem with Career Mode? Is it a good plane in Free Flight Mode?
I've not flown it in career... but i don't prioritise career. How an aircraft is in career doesn't bother me as 99% of my flying is freeflight.
Lets start petioning Asabo and get them onboard to fix seaplane physics and make them realistic, with the features float/sea planes use
I dont think that will happen... it didn't in 20, id love it to but im not optimistic. Id love to love the seastar but the turboprops run too agressive on water to stay still

I didn't because as much as I love it, it isn't on my top list... weird I know. Trying to cover diverse bases not just all bush or I could!
And when will they fix this game so that we can fly planes safely and they don't crash themselves just before takeoff?
I've yet to have that happen... plenty of other bugs but not that :D
208 in career has way too many problems to even be considered usable
Outside career its great, I must admit ive not used many in
Career has too many problems to be considered usable.
I use it just fine to be fair... its not given me any problems yet, but it isn't super realistic.
I bet you cant bush fly a Airbus A330 or A321LR
That'd be so goddam cool
I mean…
Oddly enough... possible with MSFS... LOL.
Hey, this is AvAngel’s channel. EVERY airplane is a bush plane!
