According to the Kangxi emperor's instruction Uyghur beg sent him to Beijing. The Manchu emperor met with him in the Mongol Ger and asked about Galdan Boshgot Khan, the matters related to Oirats. After the face to face discussion with Danjila, Manchus decided not to kill him. Because he is influential and Oirats are unfamiliar. Then the Manchu emperor granted him a degree sula amban or "Idle Minister" and sent him to the Qing garrison on the bank of Tui River on 1 November 1701 after appointing him the governor of one of the five Oirat Banners who were the former soldiers of Galdan Boshgot Khan. The true intention of Manchu emperor was to learn the geo-strategic knowledge from him and use their five Banner's force in frontline against Dzungar Empire. As a result of this policy, Danjila's mixed Banner was hardly hit by Oirats in 1731 and was divided 2 parts between two powers. Some of them joined with Dzungar. Since two Oirat Banners joined with Oirat Mongols Qing began the border negotionation with Dzungars in Altai range. Remained part moved to Khalkha River initially, then settled in Khangai mountain. Magnificent! I love the loyalty and the great respect these gorgeous warriors have for their heritage and history. The pride... The love. Very beautiful to see in this new apologist and cancel trip that millenials want everyone to be on. We have nothing to apologize for. We are warriors. Mongols conquered nations and instilled fear in the enemy's heart. So what? At least they did it for the advancement of their country. Not for greed or for the riches of one. They did it for all. We Apaches were the last tribe to rebel against two enemies who were out to destroy us for profit. We still have that rebellion coursing through our veins. That was a great post. I am alone with my views on my ancestors in real life. Only online can I speak with like minded people. Basically, my ancestors were Irish Pagans, as were all European Tribes Pagan before Rome left, and then came back with a new religion, Christianity. Which destroyed and took over everything. I know about the horrific forced schooling and conversion of the Native Americans. All of our Pagan texts and spoken word stories were written down centuries later by monks. Many are still in the Vatican, never read or published. I think only the Icelandic Sagas have been pure Pagan. I don't mean to antagonise Christians. But my ancestors were Pagan Heathens for millennia before the desert religion came to Europe. Reincarnation was a belief too, apparently, it's not just in India. The HU has quickly become my all time favorite group to listen to!!! I may be the only Nebraskan who can Tuvan Throat Sing, and you may hear me do it in the middle of a cornfield but dammit! I'm proud to be a FAN!!! Keep it up guys!!!!!!!!!
If you take all of the best bands from the 60s till now and roll them up into one super band, The Hu will still be better..This band is way off the charts in every aspect of music. Each time I hear a new song from The HU, I think it can't be topped. They prove me wrong every time.

I saw GRRM talking about it, and was a little surprised (or rolled my eyes, to be honest). Bcs, I (we) felt like closer to the North than to the Dothraki people. The nature, the climate, the clothes, the way of life, the customs, temper and nature of people, and the wolf totem at least. There was almost nothing “familiar” in Dothraki culture except for the horses. My home country was one of the few allies of Mongol Empire, through royal marriages.

The Mongolian warriors are who George RR Martin based the Dothraki warriors from! Love the Hu for bringing some of the best rock music I have ever heard, but also their culture. Thank you. (Formally bows in respect)
I saw GRRM talking about it, and was a little surprised (or rolled my eyes, to be honest). Bcs, I (we) felt like closer to the North than to the Dothraki people. The nature, the climate, the clothes, the way of life, the customs, temper and nature of people, and the wolf totem at least. There was almost nothing “familiar” in Dothraki culture except for the horses. If they (GRRM and the filmmakers) had Mongols in mind when they created the Dothrakis, their knowledge of our culture was very superficial, I must say that

The history of Mongolia inspired many authors to write their fantasy novels. It will continue to be so. To write good autentic fantasy story it is important to study mongolian history. I mean real mongolian history. Remember the mongols are real!
