Lol this has about 400K more views than her teammates' FX routines in the team finals. She just has that infectious personality, where you'd wanna be friends with her if you had the chance just because she seems so down to earth.
i love her choreo. i don't ask that gymnasts be graceful, just put effort into it. she does, you can see her shine in her smile, and it's just so great to see
She's 16 here. She's 21 now. I just watched her 2nd tumbling pass, the triple twist and got goose bumps. It was like she defied gravity for as long as possible. Such power!
Chanel Oberlin Chanel Oberlin You're just jealous because you'll never be as good as Johnson or any elite athlete. There are other ways to state your opinion rather than cursing and being subjective. And Shawn Johnson is just one great out of the many. Trust me... And you are clearly very illiterate and rude. What I am trying to state here is that you dont have to earn 5 Olympic gold medals to be one of the greats, it's what people remember you for and how you inspire the next generations to come. And yes, Mustafina is a very lovely person/athlete. I just wanted to get you mad 😂. Seems like you can't handle people's comments:).
I still miss, and absolutely adore these two. It was they who made me, a football player and now grouchy old fan, who made WAG dear to my heart. I should also mention the Fierce Five in 2012. And I remember most McKayala Maloney when she gathered her courage and testified. Yes, these are strong women, but they are precious children for much of their careers. We need to cherish and protect these women. I wonder how many also suffered, and maybe still suffer. Shawn Johnson and Nastia liukin still inspire me with their lives.
This is the first place I've watched her and the other USA athlete gymnastics compete. Lovely seeing how supportive her teammates are with her on the sideline.
Shawn Johnson is my idol :D to bad she didn't do the Olympics this year :/ I was really looking forward to seeing her...she is such an inspiration...I didn't think it was even possible to jump that high!
Shawn ask if Sac blamed her when she fell off beam in 2007, and Sac said no (you can tell), then Shawn said : then we don't blame you today. That's really really sweet.
A lot of people put pressure on gymnastics for their skills but when it comes to their minds they just aren't there yet. We will see a lot of this at the Olympics Trials here in a few months because the pressure will be even greater than it has been in the past.
It depends what your start value is. The more difficult scores and more connections you have will bring up your score. And then a 10 point execution score is added. Her start value here is 6.4, and when you add the execution score, it makes the routine start from 16.4.
@peacelovelive64 @xxLOlliPOPLUVERxx Yes she did, she wasn't diagonal to the corner, in the slow mo she stepped out not ovewr the corner but the line furthest away from the camera, look at it again you can see... she didn't leap out by miles but out is out just the same
there's a border around the floor area, and if they step out of that border, they suffer a deduction. one tenth for one foot, three tenths for both feet.
The Olympics is a totaly different game..people at this Olympics who weren't expected to fall...did fall. 2006 WC in the AA fell, Cheng Fei fell, Alicia fell..the pressure here is just so crazy that anything can happen. Nastia lost the Johnson all season but when it got to the Olympics she was better than she was in 2005.
well, it's her extra pass- the added 5th pass that gymnasts in this quad used. tended to be easier- double twist, front full, etc. and\or, that she performed it easily.
It's an amazing routine but you can seen why Sandra won. The difficulty was lower but she was cleaner then Shawn (Oh and she did step out on the side of the floor that's not covered by the slow motion camera angle.)
Most were only really known long after the statute of limitations had passed. Gina Gogean, Lavinia Agache, Olga Bicherova, Olga Mostepanova and Daniela Silivas, Kim Gwang Suk, Hong Su Jong. They do not always choose to strip medals. In the case of the last two, they banned the country for 2 years.
She changed her 3rd pass from a front handspring full twist to a rudi. She instead performed a handspring full twist to a half twisting layout. That could be the reason why her score was 15.1 because there is no way in hell that that solid, strong routine with a 6.6 start value could have so many deductions to receive a 15.1. Not performing the end rudi could have lowered her start value up to .2 tenths.
Not anymore , simones last pass is the same as shawns first pass, i love shawn alot , but no one can be compared to simone, i actually believe shawn is better than anyone on beam but in floor and the all around no one alive can contend , vault i wanted to mention but maroney so..
@@kevinsam3078But She got a Point 2013 and 2014 Simone was beatable by a 2008 Shawn or a 2010 Aliya Difficulty wise, Larisa was only 6 thenths behind Biles on 2014, After that she was Definitely unbeatable.
Shawn Johnson is such an inspiration. Not only in Gymnastics but in everyday life. By far one of my favorite people and is a definite role model
Shawn Johnson IS my favorite gymnast, and will be forever
Amazing US Team. Shawn Johnson, Alicia Sacramone, Nastia Liukin.

She is just amazing incredible and well all I can say is that she's my favourite gymnast
Just realizing now that she's performing to the August Rush Symphony... and I love her even more for it.
She gets so much power!it is insane
Haha this is Singapore TV xD love ya Shawn Johnson, miss you on the gym floor. She's such an amazing gymnast, there'll never be another like her.
She's simply amazing!
Awwww, so sweet!!!
greatest athlete on earth.beauty.brain and Braun
Chanel Oberlin Don't get me started on how to downgrade your favourites either.
Chanel Oberlin So Mustafina is not a great because she hasn't won Olympic AA? Or Komova?? Girl bye .Shawn is one of the greats too.

Still in love with this routine

Such an amazing athlete
Not every gymnast has to show grace to express their self, and Shawn proves it, as does Jiang Yuyuan.
They had tough competetion then like Romania, Russia and China. Shawn was always breathtaking to watch oerform! 🏅
she lives my dream, and as i gymnast i love her with all my heart and soul
Shawn ask if Sac blamed her when she fell off beam in 2007, and Sac said no (you can tell), then Shawn said : then we don't blame you today. That's really really sweet.
she is awesome. she is the cutest girl ever with the best body ever. best gymnast ever. love her
Shawn Johnson is the greatest!!!
i LOVE gymnastics
thank you
Amazing
Love you Shawn!
:) Shawn is awesome

OMG i've never seen anyone tumbling like that!! BEAST
She looks great now. Did you see her in that new NBC show with Matthew Perry she looks beautiful.
dang, she makes it look so easy!!
so much competition. u have to represent for your county and if u fail.. heartbreaking...
@peacelovelive64 @xxLOlliPOPLUVERxx Yes she did, she wasn't diagonal to the corner, in the slow mo she stepped out not ovewr the corner but the line furthest away from the camera, look at it again you can see... she didn't leap out by miles but out is out just the same
yes
it is sad that she retired
At 2:42 they are sitting in this order: Chellsie Memmel, Bridget Sloan, Alicia Sacramone, Shawn Johnson , Nastia Liukin, Samantha Peszek!
there's a border around the floor area, and if they step out of that border, they suffer a deduction. one tenth for one foot, three tenths for both feet.
no, they kept it.
the 2000 olympics, yes, with Yang Yun and Dong Fangxiao, but not in the 2008 olympics. the IOC received sufficient proof.
3:52 I love how her and Nastia joke around
At 2:15 is her first pass, because in her last pass, she always pulls that second back flip around.
thanks for the info. I thought it was a mash-up xx
she looks so different now! wow, is this the same routine gabby did or just some of the same moves?
Excelente
Look at the way Shawn is consoling her teamate Alicia Sacromone. Could she be any sweeter? You can tell what a big heart she has.
@xxLOlliPOPLUVERxx she definitely, definitely did
Music from August Rush?!
Uuuhhh... i have seen like every gymnastics video on youtube at least 2 times!! Any suggestions?
music from August Rush in the first presentation...

And even though everyone pretty much accepts that Yang Yun was underage, her scores and individual medals were not stripped, only Dong's
That was from 2000 Sydney
Yes, of course. I believe I was replying to a comment that had since been deleted. I don’t quite remember, as the comment was from 10 years ago 😅
haha it's that camera that follows the gymnasts down the runway lol unless i am not seeing what you are seeing. but that is what i think it is.
Is anyone else just fascinated by how little space Nastia takes up in her chair?
She stepped out
August Rush rhapsody!
well, it's her extra pass- the added 5th pass that gymnasts in this quad used. tended to be easier- double twist, front full, etc. and\or, that she performed it easily.
after she sticks, and pops into that stretch after all of her tumbling, are those deductions?
so shes not gunna be in the visa's this week?
her book yeah where can i find it in a cloud?
@Julie what ribbon? This is artistic gymnastics not rhythmic. They don't use ribbons in artistic gymnastics, or balls or clubs, or hula hoops
i like these commentators much more than the US ones. they're funny, the US ones can be negative a lot. lol
I dislike the dislikes
they were saying that SHE DIDNT step out..wat r u talkin bout?
could someone tell me their names im trying to find them
well it's also good to take in account that he meant easy as effortless for the powerful Shawn Johnson :P
It's an amazing routine but you can seen why Sandra won. The difficulty was lower but she was cleaner then Shawn (Oh and she did step out on the side of the floor that's not covered by the slow motion camera angle.)
full in last pass that's crazy
What are the scores out of???
i wanna know what the team was saying at the end!
She is freaking Adorable, I don't care if is 16

He means easy for her, still I know what you mean she is amazing:)x
stop at 2:50 and the one on far left
same reaction I had:-)
she hugged her first after the team coordinator
what is the crowd saying?
just waw
these floors are more bouncy than cheer floors tho right?
So did the US team win gold?
can anybody tell me what song is playing at 0:40-0:44? shawn was great, and thanks for the info xx
Claudia Alonso Martínez august rush rasphody
Is that true?:((((,I stil think she is not retiring.
No, on june 3 she announced that her knee is bothering her too m uch and the best thing to do would be to just stop. It's sad.
So sad... taday she annonced that she's retiring and not going to london:-(
Why did she have to change her 3rd pass?
How old is she in this video?
16
ya, i kinda figured that maybe he meant easy like she did it well... because i don't think a double twist is ever considered 'easy'
ahahaaha does that include you? :)
both are from the US how can they not be team mates
I guess that's why people like her so much. I still feel really bad for Alicia though.
go SJ
im pretty sure they one gold
oh, there's a smudge on the view bar let me get that
@bikerOGX she is NOT fat.
i didnt no Nastia Liukin is on the same team as Shawn Johnson

Same last pass as Biles, just saying😂
