Note: Sorry about the stuttering at the end of the video. I'm new to this whole editing thing and guessing it has something to do with my basic pc lacking much power during the rendering.

I believe the GGS sculpty stuff is made to dry really fast because Luke hated waiting for it to dry lol. Amazing first video!!
Yes, big learning mistake on my part assuming it dried at same speed as sculptamold, but that’s part of the process for getting better and at least I’ll know for the future 😂
First video is a success! This is the best step by step tutorial I've seen. At first I was like, bruh that's too many layers. But by the end? Complete payoff. Beautiful terrain.

Your process is great. Just getting the basics for my first project myself. Not gonna lie. I absolutely love your work but, being a noobie it is a little intimidating. I think I am going to start simple then work myself up to your level of realism. Great video and keep it up. I appreciate you leaving in your troubles and explaining how you overcame the problems you came across not too many creators show that process and to be honest it makes doing this seem like a reachable experience for myself and others. I wish the best of luck to your channels growth and can’t wait to see what you share with us next. I will be sharing this with other people that are into the hobby. This video just made my day.
I understand how it can be intimidating. But the feeling of accomplishment when you actually give it a try and make something is definitely worth it. Just remember, you don’t need to impress anyone. @@HobbyshireOfficial just need to gather the basics first and take care of some of the important things around the house then I’ll be taking the dive. Need to pick up some paints and I’ll start simple and see what I can come up with. Thinking of doing simple grid work and see how it turns out for actual table top play tiles. My group is kinda on a break so it gives me time to come up with something. I been wanting to get into this for a long time now. I subscribed and followed already.
Those are the best I’ve ever seen, the amount of work to build those layers … Really looks fantastic at the end

Great tutorial. Genuinely _shocking_ that this is your first video! I watch a _lot_ of hobbyists on YT, and this might be the most professional first vid I've ever seen. Well done!
As for the GGS plaster, I've also never seen this happen before. I know it's used often by several other channels who also do leopard spotting, and it absorbs just fine. Perhaps this is a bad batch? Sorry you had that experience, especially as it frustrated what you said is usually your favourite part!

Also, for the static grass try touching the alligator clip to the adhesive you are using. From my understanding, the electricity uses the liquid medium to flow to all of the areas you are flocking. Hopefully that helps!

The only feed feedback I can think of is that the flashcard shot transitions can be a little hard on the eyes and give some people motion sickness. Other than that fantastic and can't wait for the next one

It´s great to see a dwarven channel. There are too many knife ears pinky elven channels. You need more rocks carved by dwarfs and fewer flowers in those meadows.

I haven't used the modelling compound, but Luke from Geek Gaming used leopard spotting all the time in his videos, so it should work fine. Your paint looked pretty thick, so maybe it just needed to be thinner than when you use sculptamould 🤷♂️ Great video though, I came to your channel on a recommendation.

You mentioned that you make your own stone blend. Would you do a video on that? I use natural stuff as often as possible and always enjoy learning what others use and how.
I’ll definitely add something like that to the todo list. In the mean time I will say, my rubble is pretty much just little bits of pebbles and gravel filtered out of sharp sand that I bought from b&q. Natural aquarium gravel is an idea too. Sometime I mix chinchilla sand into the blend or some birdcage sand that has little bits of shell in there too

What size chipboard did you get from the Works?
I was looking at RPArchives parts list and his chipboard is 3.8mm thick (12x12) but amazon link comes from USA and is weeks to get delivered 😂 Not been able to find anything similar
I believe it’s A4 chipboard 2mm thick. I tried getting more from the works but couldn’t find any. If you search that in amazon though you should have no problem.
The crown is my dad’s army badge. The dates are his year of birth and year of death.

It’s Mapei brand. I think I got it from b&q. Though I never stick to a brand for grout, I just go for cheapest as all have pretty much same result 😊
