    Been going there yearly to visit friends since 1984. I absolutely love that area. Super clean, well manicured, and one thing you will notice... NO utility wires.”Most” of their wiring is underground which makes for a super clean look.

      I’ve lived here for the last year after moving from Miami. Not one single person has said that or portrayed that. It’s actually the complete opposite, people here hate Miami.

    Thank you for this. Knew someone a few years back who told me that Boca Raton was a great place for families. Considering a move there and my son and grandson may tag along. (next summer)

      I wouldn't recommend living here. Not now at least. Garbage people, overpriced housing, horrible weather, "sunny state" yet raining 1/2 the year. I don't go out but I hear Boca has a boring social life. I don't understand why people keep moving here when there are much more beautiful and exciting places (like 1/3 of the cost) elsewhere. Especially now, with how overpopulated it is. Wouldn't recommend for your son either, schools are good but overpopulated.

      Hello! I lived in Boca in the past, people get these things that cover their windows with for protection, but most windows are hurricane proof. A lot of Hurricane protection buildings, aswell. Hopefully this answered your question.

    Did anybody catch that she said Spanish settlers came to the area in 1895 that would be after the civil war that's not right at least not the year?

    • @onduty6024
      @onduty6024 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spanish were all over Florida from the late 1500's on, and pirates were common too. But, you're right, any Spanish 'settlers' from that time in the area now known as Boca Raton wouldn't have been any more than temporary beach campers. Boca Raton didn't have non-native people moving in until around 1895. By 1903, there were about 18 people (yes eighteen.)
