My neighbour geocaches too and he hid one right next to our house inside this tiny pole of a fence. He drilled a really small hole into the back of it and attached a piece of twine with the geocach that goes all the way to the bottom of the pole. Once in a while you see people walking in front of our house looking really confused trying to find it. Really entertaining to watch :")

+French From My Perspective There are actually a bunch of different sizes that can be even smaller than the one they found or HUGE (like were talking an entire bunker). I've found a bunch of medium sized ones that are in like sealed container about the size of a bread box and people leave things there and you do a "take something, leave something" so it can also be kinda like treasure hunting. I've gotten things like sand in a bottle, mexican jumping beans, rings, and other random trinkets. It's actually pretty cool. I stock up at the dollar store so that I always have something to leave behind
You can actually get little trinkets too. Back when I used to do it the way it was, was that you take a little trinket and then you leave one behind. It’s actually really cool.

i found out about geocaching when i randomly came across one in a used book store in connecticut with my friends, it was so exciting

Omg my sister and I just squealed because we LOVE geocaching. We have a lake house in this teeny tiny town in Michigan and there were even some up there. My favorite one I found was actually there and it was in this super old cemetery and the geocache was screwed under this bunny that was part of the headstone because apparently the person who died loved geocaching which was super cool. My home town has a bunch and there is one in this park that is huge and people do that "take something, leave something" and I got this vintage paper clip with this weird duck thing on top that is super cool. There is also one down the street from me that's an actual room in this business that has a bunch of stuff in it, although you have to give the "password" to the owners to gain access and I'm too anxious to do it lol. I'm studying abroad for five months in london (I leave in like 3 days!) and I can't wait to find a bunch of geocaches there.

I live next to one of the biggest geocaching places in Canada! Its so cool because people leave things in the containers sometimes!
They were "Pokémon Go!"Ing before it was cool!!!
I've been geocaching for like 5 years now, and I love it! Its a great app (I have the paid version), and so fun to just open up and use when you're in a new city. Especially when you find "geocoins" and make them travel from cache to cache.
Two of the most difficult ones I've ever found were both on a trail. One was an extra small, stuck inside a hollow log that served as the bottom of a bridge (you had to climb down so the bridge deck was eye level to see it). The other one was on the side of a telephone pole, inside a box that was PAINTED to look like it belonged there (as an electric box or something) but it just swung open and inside it was the cache.
The most interesting one was one that you could only do at night. The co-ordinates led you to the beginning of the trail, then you had to use your flashlight to follow tiny reflectors to where the cache actually was.
I can't wait to try in another country. So happy for your video :D

the ones i do are like hand sized tins that have a paper and tons of little things in there that you swap out for something you own. its so cool....i got a vintage bottle cap from one haha
