i just got my DSM man, no rust and beautiful electric blue paint job . 97 GSX, built motor, etc. Had to ship it from the states to Canada! but super happy to have one. already have to fix an issue with the throw out bearing but i know what im getting into haha. Project car, definitely won't keep it as a daily saw your other videos but didnt realise you dropped this one months ago. loved the colour and the work you put into it. really stripped down a lot and cleaned it up
holly shit i ended up buying my eclipse a month ago for 2.7k and it only has 83k miles stock everything 2 owners with no rust im feeling crazy lucky right now im never getting rid of this its my dream car
I seen this on market place and now that I found it on TH-cam I'm learing the history of it. The car is my dream car to own. It has an amazing Color, body, and the tail light is what really grab my attention, I have NEVER seen these. I just hope I can make enough money to own this. We (my family) take really good care of vehicles unlike alot of people. We change the fluids, brakes, parts, etc. All on our own.
I really enjoyed watching you build this from the ground up! It inspired me so much seeing how quickly you managed to build it all to your liking. You definitely helped get me off my ass and into my garage trying to fix my own gsx. I thank you for the awesome videos and I’m super excited to see what comes next, no matter what it may be!
I can relate.. I've had 11 of them. And still own two. A gs and a gsx. I let them all go then finally said I'm not letting them go no more. I'm sure you'll get one later on.
I wish you much success in your future ventures. I have a 1997 gst , have owned since 2002, garaged, driven on nice days. I have found out that eclipses over the years were abused. I do appreciate all the work that you have done on your eclipse
Man I just watched this video! You did an awesome job building it so damn beautiful! If you didn't sell it please don't 🙏 ive had a few of them and just finally got me another one unmolested gst spyder. Your build inspired me to do allot of your style couldn't of been better keep it up man
I just got through all the videos and was an amazing journey. i completely understand your decision, and if the opportunity does ever come up and you feel like the time is right then hopefully you may choose to do so. I have been wanting a 2g eclipse since f&f, i’ve owned a 4g, and now own a g35, but i still want a 2g. Your videos have given me insight on how it is to work on one and also saw your passion for the car itself. Although everyday wasn’t a good day whether it was about the car or not, you did it, and i’m sure me and many others are proud of you! keep up the great and hard work my man
My First Eclipse was a white hardtop 1999 White GS oz edition. SOLD IT and then saw it driving around the city a year later. And I was like damnnn... thats how my eclipse looked like . Got pissed off I sold it and bought another eclipse lol...Then got a red 1997 gst eclipse spyder. LOVED IT soo much but theives got the best of it! Several years later ...as in present time. Last year got a maroon gst spyder. Still drive till this day! One thing I learned from this... your ass going to sell it and your going to end up buying another one down the road lolololololololololol! Maybe not but the eclipses are like an addiction! Good luck with whatever choices you make. You know whats best!! 👍
Loved watching the gsx build and I’m looking forward to seeing what you get next. I think this was the car that’ll let you close the book on the dsm’s for now. You’ve finally built the car you wanted all that time ago. The videos are getting better and better as well man, keep it up!
Sad to hear about the selling part, but you´re right cars are meant to be built how we want them and then move on to the next. In my opinion your interior is one of the cleanest I have seen.
Maaan this is true so hard to find nice clean eclipses these days. I have had 3 in my life and had the one I got now since 2009. I bought it from a small dealer it had only 92k miles on it all stock. It's a 1997 eclipse gst by the way. It still stock to this day. Only thing I really done is rims and coil overs. It has 210k miles now with a rebuilt head and I love driving it, it is my daily too. I've been trying to do the up keep on it and buy Mitsubishi oem parts but it's getting harder and harder to buy these days. I've bought a couple parts straight from japan hahha. But dont sell it everyone is right here you will miss it. Good luck too you. Brotha #savetheeclipse
DSMs are not daily drivers anymore. I used to have a 2ga GSX back in late 90s and it was one of my first cars, big 20g with all support mods and a built 6bolt. Now that I’m 40, I’m looking for one to just restore back to very mild street build for nostalgic reasons. My daily to the office is a Lexus GSF and will likely get a new Tundra when they come out.
I picked up a clean rust free 6 bolt swapped/built internals 96 tsi a few years ago for basically what a shell goes for now. I actually just came across your car on facebook marketplace tonight and now im thinking i may need a 2nd dsm in my life lol.
@@timbollman5510 the kid kept in touch with me. He kept trying to turn the boost up and now thinks he blew the head gasket. I was going to buy it back but I would probably have to tear the car apart and start over lol

Love the car bro, and the journey you went through with it. I have a 99 GST, and gosh, I understand the love hate relationship we have with these cars. You built your dream car man, now I guess it's time for a new dream, right? Stick with it man, love the videos, and I agree with you; that interior is one of the cleanest I've EVER seen in a DSM. Good work man!!

i feel you bro! i haven't owned that many, I'm getting ready to buy my 5th one now, first convertible gst and its all stock. I'm just gunna say if you get another one id recommend trying to keep it stock and just enjoy it how it is. every single one of the 210hp, cuz I'm in the same boat and resonate with you bro. I'm just tired of trying to build a dam to run a certain way. i will do light mods of course to personalize like BOV and some simple upgrades but honestly...im keeping my next one stock because it will always last longer that way!
Thats exactly what my plan is. If I get another one down the road I'll find a shell and do a stock rebuild or get lucky enough to find a stock one and just restore the paint and everything and rebuild the motor to stock spec and enjoy. Cars worth more that way anyhow@
@@johnnycardinell8060 i just have big plans for this one car. Sucks that the 2 grand i have now has to go tords debt. Instead of buying carbonetic parts.
Hi, I watched this video and a few others. I am very impressed with your work and knowledge. Thank you for posting this video. I have been trying for months to figure out why my car won't start after an attempt to jump start it. I heard a loud pop come from somewhere in the engine bay. It's sat for 2 years before now. Is there any way we can communicate because I will appreciate any and all help with my car.
You'll definitely regret it since the gsx is becoming very hard to hunt down. If I listed mine for sale it'd be the only one for sale in the United States according to autotrader. I see some from time to time on facebook but I expect that to dry up one day as parts alone are very hard to find. I had to travel 4 hours just to get a rear 2gb bumper.
Hey man you have a nice car! But I know someone paid you good for it! Just buy another she'll and do it again! I'll watch it and learn because I have a 99 eclipse gst and I'm tuning it now!
Just put it down for a little bit. You've burnt yourself out work on something else In the mean time. In a couple months you'll be grateful you still have it, interests will spark back. Up I've been down this same road too many times. Put it up for a bit dont sell it my dude
i'm jealous seeing U guys at USA can get an GSX eclipse easily, here in Costa Rica the most complete model is a GS, not even a GST, unless U modify it.
Dude my 1st car was a 93 GSX that I traded in for a misly $800 back in 2001 and I regret it to this day. I am looking for one and found one in Loveland Colorado (I live in Denver) and the guy wanted 20k. I went with the intention of getting it but the frame was bent and it was a total piece of crap so I passed . I will continue my search but it's almost an impossible find.
I'm already hating myself for letting this one go. I can find them here and there but they're so banged up or rusted out that I can't see getting it. I hope I'm able to buy a house in the next year or 2 and afterwards I can have a project car and start searching for one again. Not sure I'll ever find one that was a clean as this one was...
I think you should have kept it and just buy another car as a daily driver. Having another car to drive daily would have give you the patience needed for this eclipse. Will all your transporting needs satisfied by another car, ficing the eclipse would have been a lighter task.
Yeah the Eclipse was actually sold before I made this video. I sold it semi-local so hopefully I'll get to see it around sometime. And hoping I end up with another one in the future but for now it just wasn't for me.
That would be pointless lol he did an Evo conversion on his because he had the non-turbo chrysler 420A engine in it. This is already a budget evo. The GSX came factory with the same 4G63T as the evo with AWD. Haha

Love the build and the videos....I just truly hate the paint color lol.
