Never got the idea of hiding a newer head unit - dang that's a pretty smart idea for a quick job. I've always ended up modding my stock radios. Removing the tapedeck mechanism, bridging contacts so the unit thinks there's a casette inside and then tapping into the tape input of the actual amp circuit with a small bluetooth module, adding caps in between. In my current car even managed to mount little microswitches to the actual tape control buttons so I can pause and skip through my songs without having to reach for my phone - so it's all safe to do while driving.
looks good mate! got a similar setup in the gf's car just no head unit at all, but a bluetooth amplifier (with a RCA->3.5 cable too) in the glovebox, works like a charm and keeps the interior stock, looking mint.
Great video guys😊. Go for a subwoffer. I have two 6×9" DLS in the back of my Ke70, and two 6.5" DLS in the front doors, and a 10" kicker subwoffer with a Alpine 5 channel amplifier in the trunk. The sound is high and nice. Like a modern car audio😊
great video as always, you guys are the higlight of the week! should get some oldschool "box"speakers for the rear don`t know the name but you maybe know what i mean...
damnnnn that charlie doesn't party fade-in on the outro was smooth
heheh thanks!

That's sick! I think I'll try something similar, I absolutely love new car audio
M8s get a piece of sheet metal and make a bracket and glue it in to the glove box and bolt it to the other side of the head unit
nothing like quality tunes and an open throttle in a ke70....
ps, thanks for the sticker, havnt put it on my rolla yet, need to give it a spit and polish first.
Anytime! We look forward to seeing it on there

Thanks 😍 yeh we know what you mean! But I might keep the standard style speakers, I love the clean look 🥰
Tbh I'd personally would've install the radio in the standard spot but I'd 3d print a little flap to cover it up like on MCM.
Matt's has a factory Toyota blanking plate we'd like to keep! But that's definitely a slick idea
NBN representation was perfect
Way too real hahaha
Considered mounting a DIN bracket to the inside of the glovebox an then mounting the headunit inside that?
We haven't... Until right now
Good job boys! Looks discreet af!👌
thanks!!
sick video dudes 🤘🏻
Thanks homie
That a genuine TRD shifter? I've been looking for one for ages
Unfortunately not! Not keen on the price 😅
clean as fuckkkkk
I would have played arf ngl
I made a walk around video of my 1980 Toyota corolla DX KE70 on my channel here in Norway. Specs: Recaro seats, japan racing wheels😊
Are the speakers in phase? This causes odd speaker sounds.
Nah they're just 20 years old and suck 😅
Sick
