The bulky odd thing you found in the one room you asked for opinions on what it is. It's part of the medical device sitting next to it. The thing you asked about sits over a person's head. Then a type of ray or frequency was beamed out from the machine around the head and face of the patient. If you Google what company manufactured the machine you'll find out its function.
I'm so glad there's no graffiti. Without it you can just appreciate the natural art
Agreed, though I do appreciate some markings due to the idea that someone has explored the same grounds as you. It's like the urban version of nature taking its course.

So I guess with places like these it’s sort of a given that they have bad dark pasts, and that instead of maybe actually trying to help and “cure” mentally ill patients, they probably tortured them and treated them badly, and treated them like they were animals... ;)
The artwork that you see on the walls is called Fresco's... they are as old as the homes themselves. When the builders would plaster the walls these pieces of art were painted over the plater before the plaster dried. They normally used watercolours because the colouring seeped into the plaster to create permeate works of beautiful artwork. That is one of the many treasures and beauty of these Italian villas and Mansions. I love Italy... Tuscany, in particular, is my favourite place in that country. I haven't been back for a very long time but a piece of my heart will always remain. You're so lucky to be there at this time of year. The landscape is gorgeous.
I looked through some of the comments but didn't see an answer to your question about the contraption on the table in the room with the surgical light and electronic apparatus. The contraption on the table reminds me of the cage they put over your head when you get an MRI. So, I think it was used similarly to prevent the head from thrashing around. Now I'm not positive, but that would lead to believe that the electronic apparatus next to the table was used for electric shock therapy on the brain. Just a guess though.

It was an ECT machine. It had two inputs for the electrodes.

6:48 I believe that is actually an Electrocardiogram, or EKG strip. They project the heart's electrical activity onto paper and help doctors diagnose heart issues...
I actually think he was right about it being an EEG. The waves look way too irregular to be cardiovascular activity, and the spikes look kind of like short increases in brain activity. I've had both an EKG and an EEG and that looks a lot more similar to the EEG. Maybe I just can't see it very well in this video, though.
It is a printed result of electroconvulsive therapy or (ECT). Which is a very controversial healing method (still) used in mental asylums.
The (zephir) apparatus at 6:35 is actually an ancient ECT decive. :)

I dont know man you use to show alot more of the places in your older videos it seems now that you have become a biger youtuber you show less, i go back and watch your older vids and they seem more indepth than your newer ones just my opinion i still love watching your vids just commenting is all.

rockerbaby2003 yeah just to make it clear I'm not hating on Josh he was the reason I started to watch these type of vids and yes I know it was his third of the day but if you watch his older vids then his newer ones you can notice how different they are in what he shows and of how much he still rocks in my book but if people don't comment constructively he won't know what his audience likes or don't like I don't comment often but now rereading this it seems like I can't shut up lol

Well it was the third place of the day and sunlight was fading so we had to kinda rush through the place, maybe thats why the video seems like that.
