    This is the kind of stuff that makes the Assassin's Creed series so awesome. There's so much deep thought to the issues brought about in the series, and gets fans pitted and debating which side is better. One could argue that what the Templars are doing may not be ethical but are ultimately more practical and for the betterment of humanity.

    • @aidenfurry471
      @aidenfurry471 ปีที่แล้ว

      if they succeed, it would only last a generation or two, they'd turn on each other, after all, they view individuality as an invitation to chaos, and if there's only one of them left, they can't train a successor, after all entrusting their legacy to an individual defeats the purpose, in the end, they'll just reset humanity to the stone age. to make matters worse they're responsible for the division hatred and wars in the first place, they were the confederacy, the soviets, the nazis, they sparked wars, drove people against each other to use their fear, they caused the very thing they claim to try to stop
      in other words, they're like a lot of people today, too arrogant to realize they're flawed too, they think others are beneath them, and so they can't see that they're just like the people they look down on

    The person that came with the idea of making Assassin's Creed was a genius. Just genius! The whole Abstergo - Templar Order thing it's so very similar to the Freemasons - Templars. Anyway, even if i am wrong about that, these two orders, Templars and Assassin's are too great. Both.
    And so much symbolism behind so many things in the story. The games are just.. great!

  • @MarkFilipAnthony

    and THIS is the reason we play as our selves in AC Black flag, Rouge, Liberation and Unity.
    Desmond is not possible to play anymore, and Abstergo tests the Animus of randoms in Revelations, Black flag and Rouge.
    Liberation and Unity are the first animus simulations shipped to the public, and "you" are one of many testers being hacked by the assassins to help them get the "real" information
    Why do some gamers have problems understanding this?

    • @Himerosteam
      @Himerosteam 9 ปีที่แล้ว +41

      +MarkFilipAnthony because you play desmond's ancestors and it's not the same, feels empty. idk about other assassin's creeds, i played only until black flag. if you play as random ppl in unity rogue syndicate, i wouldnt rly enjoy it because what's the point? It's not the same anymore.

    • @MarkFilipAnthony
      @MarkFilipAnthony 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      ***** what u prefer and what u understand is two different things tho.

      +MarkFilipAnthony That explanation makes *SO* much more sense now hahaha. Technically in Black Flag and Rogue you do play as one, specific person (aside from the multiplayer in Black Flag), but the other ones really make sense now. Honestly I like that idea, it's new and fresh compared to the Desmond story line.
      However I would really like a true and actual current timeline story like what they used to have, not just little snip bits of the present day. Introducing a new character with new assassins, or with Rebecca cause she's awesome haha, would probably be best for the series.

    Daniel Cross is a character from the Assassin's Creed comic "The Fall." It follows Daniel's journey (and a Russian ancestor via the Animus, if I recall) to meet The Mentor, the leader of the assassin's. Daniel's story continues in another graphic novel called "The Chain" which is coming out this year, so I'm not sure why people are saying he's dead. I assume, he's going to be an antagonist of Desmond's in the modern timeline.

    It is very easy and common to fall for the temptations the Templars offer you. After all, who in their right mind would refuse such a life? Well, I would, and those who think like me would. Templars sure can provide material benefits for those who work for them but those pleasures come with a price (your freedom) and the lines are thin. You are not really free among them. You're being tracked 24/7. They know what you do, when you do it and why you're doing it, while you're simply obeying without questioning a thing. That's what they're looking for, obedient people, just give them a large sum of money and offer them greatness and they'll fall for anything. But one wrong step is all it takes, and everything previously granted to you will be taken away from you, all the pleasures, all the money, all your loved ones and eventually your life.

    • @SashKaLakers
      @SashKaLakers 8 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      +funnyyoass First of all it's actual reality. If you wanted be a part of such circles, let's say in this case the Templars, you'd have to give a lot of intangibles for something that offers you only a temporary pleasure, while putting under pressure and risk you and your close ones. Let's not include selling your soul as many conspiracies claim, but that can an argument too. Eventually, you'd have to sacrifice a lot of beautiful things life gives us for free that many of us don't appreciate enough and understand, if you see my point. Would you choose it if you thought for a while what you are giving away?
      PS. Funny thing is that we give away our freedom and our lives for mortgages and cabalistic financial and commercial stuff nowadays, not talking about people that wanna be rich as hell. When I saw these videos playing for the first time and even now, something inside me jumped when seeing those flashy watches and that XO Reserve Cognac in your own limousine. I mean that's cool. But eventually that's not what we're here for on this planet as there is a far greater purpose our narrow minds don't want to accept or understand, and if there would be an Assassin's Order, I'd choose this side no doubt not only because of playing the game, but actually understanding the message of the credo - Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. Cheers buddy!

    If you want to understand these videos better than you should know this; all of these vids are not happening during the revelations time period. You have to put some of these videos between the events of AC3 like the last video finding William Miles in Egypt which was an event in AC3. So Juhani Otso Berg (the first person character) becomes a Master Templar in AC3 period. However we finally learn this character in Black Flag. Like this comment to show this to all AC fans.

    You have to remember, not only do the assassins have the Apple, but Desmond carries both Altair, and Ezio's skills. Including Altair's immense knowledge about the apple. If necessary, something tells me Desmond might come to call on that knowledge. Still, with Connor's skills added to his repertoire. I really think the assassins have a fighting chance.

    They were puppets. Lucy was an Assassin, but felt like she owed Vidic for "Saving her life". She wasn't actually a Templar, she just served their cause as a repayment.

  • @AssassinInTheMist96
    @AssassinInTheMist96 11 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    actually, Lucy wasn't a puppet. She was a temple double agent. She tricked Rebecca and Shawn into thinking she was an assassin. That was the reason Juno or Minerva (I don't remember which) took control of Desmond and killed Lucy, how do you think the Templar's kept finding them? Lucy was feeding information to the Templar's.

    • @JayVasco2282

    Oh yes, there has. In the first game when Desmond asks Lucy "Why do you say 'Denver'? What does Denver mean?" after Lucy says "Everything's Denver" to Vidic. Lucy says that "Denver" means "Okay" (or along those lines)
    Lucy then goes on to explain that there is a secret meeting place for the Templars under the Denver international airport. Do a little googling on the Denver International Airport and you will see the connection.

    this series went from an unbeatable conspiracy and mind bending experience that fully immersed me at every turn craving for more, to now being a story-lacking, try-hard, yearly release monster. I continue to play for these type of things, the abstergo cuts and desmond missions were the best, but AC3 and Black flag were despicable. I still haven't played Unity (Though I have it, I'm waiting for my PS4 to arrive) and I will hope that the writes get back to the core of the series. It has to happen, so much untapped potential. AC1-Revelations were the good ones.

The assassins may not always be right, but I trust my own hands. When the Brotherhood fails me, I will not turn my back, instead look past the brotherhood and look instaed to further mankind. I will not be pursuaded unto evil by the Templars, just as I will not follow the assassins blindlly. But if let it be known, the Templars, although ever present in some form, will never win.

    This by far displayed the worst side of the Templar order, and I say that as one who gravitates towards them more so than the Assassins. The megalomaniacal, overindulgent opulence being the goal of its members is almost sickening to watch. There's no purpose to that beyond control for control's sake, not for the good of the world. Vidic is my least liked Templar as well. In my humble opinion, although one I believe is shared by a great many other fans, the Colonial Rite under Haytham showed the best side to the Templars. One that worked behind the scenes of the worldly panorama of politics to better it, for everyone. Order, purpose and direction being leading principles rather than dogmatic iron laws which much better contrasted against the anarchic beliefs of the Assassins and evidenced its flaws. Those are the Templars I'd side with.

    This guy is subject 4, In a text file which you can retrieve, it says that Subject 4 was the most succesfull subject so far... They made them a mole, a sleeping agent... They deleted the memory of the subject, making them an agent and making them think they work for another company, against Abstergo, but they still are working for Abstergo... That is how they found W. Miles... Just watch a video about it... Called something about : Lucy's Templar Conspiracy

    I don't, and never will condone the atrocity Abstergo did with the Great Purge, killing young children and all... but I do admit the Templars got a major point - The world needs more ORDER than FREEDOM. An ordered world, is a tidy world. And if the Assassins win... just imagine a GTA-styled driver driving, ignoring all rules and regulations, then times 7 billion.
    Order before freedom, always. May the Father of Understanding guide us all. In hoc signo vinces.

      +Tarawa Richter Hello, Aiden Pearce already does that. But you have the Assassins mistaken. We are a peaceful people. if you think that our Creed refers to doing what we want, you are definitely mistaken. As Ezio put it, "To say that nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic." We do not break rules. For example, we do not kill the innocent. You are not innocent. Requiescat in pace.

      Anti-HyperLink You might see the Assassin's Maxim that way, I see the Assassin Maxim that way, doesn't mean everyone would. Some people would warp this maxim and use it as excuse to do literally whatever they want. A lot of them, actually. For Humanity's sake, I really hope that Assassins are "peaceful", as you say. I just look at the traffic every day, and very glad that this orderly world is not one where everyone is GTA driver. Tell me you don't WORRY that people warp the maxim and use that to do bad things. I WORRY things. If not being innocent means I'm rooting for a world that flows tidily like the traffic, and/or as neat as a freshly renovated house, then I prefer to be not innocent.
      May the Father of Understanding guide us all.

Everybody forgets that the First civilization created humans to be a docile workforce...the exact thing that the Templars are doing now, and not only are humans designed for this; also the First civilization would support the Templar agenda as they did it before. And who is to question the First civilization??

    anarchy is actually a great ideal as in its true meaning it means without leader (or something along those lines) and the idea is that people have to be good people because there is no rule to bend and hide behind. A reasonable example of this is that in country's with no traffic rules there are less traffic collision than in the UK as drivers have to be aware of their surroundings.

  • @otakud00d
    @otakud00d 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Actually that was addressed in AC3. They seek to control as much as they can without being the ones in charge. They tried that and it failed horribly with the Borgias in AC2. The Borgias were all corrupt as hell and it weakened the hell out of their order. They've worked to influence kings and puppeteer them from behind the scenes, which has worked out much better for them since. Of course, that might not even be necessary in modern times, since the concept of a "king" is pretty damn outdated.
