Try living in Connor's shoes. Seeing your entire village getting burnt down, seeing your mum being burnt alive/crashed by debris in front of your eyes, you and your people living isolated from modern civilization where you'll be discriminated and treated as savages. Oh yeah, and your dad being part of a secret organization bent on controlling the world. I can't really blame him for lacking the charm Ezio had but I can't really say that Connor is dull. He has his moments where he is just humble and down-to-earth, especially in the Homestead missions and when he's talking with his allies. Connor's personality is the product of his upbringings at that era so I can't say that he's the worst AC game protagonist (not counting expanded universe, even if some of them explain more about already existing characters).
One thing I love about this trailer is that Assassins are usually always stealthy and discreet but Connor is the opposite. He LITERALLY charges straight into a army and TEARS them apart 🔥

And plus it's very symbolic, having a native American lead a bunch of English rebels on his own territory. It reminds us that this land wasn't originally ours
YES! Connor, in some ways, represented the soul of America as it underwent such dramatic changes. The story didn't shy away from how the Native Americans were abused to the utmost, so I hope this all doesn't sound like the game is trying to erase that part of the history. But I feel like Connor's story line, split between two worlds, does a good job of drawing a more complete picture of Revolutionary America.
***** How was he only fighting for revenge? It's revEnge by the way. If you look at it that way, the protagonists who didn't have the advantage of being born into the Assassin Brotherhood were all fighting for revenge in some way or form. Edward was fighting for a type of revenge, to show his wife that he could be a somebody in the world and to fight the societal notion that he couldn't be more than what he was destined to be being born in the 'peasant' social class. Ezio was clearly driven by revenge, having his father and two brothers killed in front of him. Even Altair, the only one who was born into the Brotherhood, was motivated to kill all of Al Mualim's targets to get the chance to kill Robert de Sable, the man who humiliated him and caused his fall in the ranks of the order. And how did Connor not know what he was doing?
MrZackavelli He didn't understand beeing Assassin, he just do some things because he saw a ghost (Juno if I remember) and went to the Achilles. He didn't understand beeing Assassin, he didn't even know the rules of the Creedo. He's not a true Assassin. Just like his grandpa - Edward.
***** Dude seriously? You're describing both Connor and Edward at the beginning of their journeys. Yeah when Connor was a young kid he didn't understand being an assassin when he went to Achilles, but then Achilles trained him for 4 years where Connor learned the ways of the Assassins. Same thing with Edward: by the end his story, he learned what it was to be an Assassin. Judge the characters on where they end up, not where they started.

"The Assassins Pop Culture icons" "Altiar" = Jason Bourne in a nutshell. Rebels against the Order. "Ezio" = Bruce Wayne/Batman Rich guy with gadgets goes on a one man war on corruption. Connor = Luke Skywalker, a boy who has no clue of his dad gets forced into a life and death rebellion and seeks to redeem his father. Edward: Capt. James T Kirk. A brash young man (who sleeps with any woman he can) gets reluctantly recruited into an organization that is dedicated to peace and fights an Empire to protect his crew and explore the unknown.
I agree I also think ac lll should have a faster combat system just wonder killing 100 redcoats faster than Ezio that would make coiner the second best close to master assasin
Story time: In 4th grade I told my teacher that this game taught me more about what we were learning than school did so she said if I got a 100 on the next test then I could play assassins creed for homework for the rest of the unit we were on which lasted about 1 and a half more months and lets just say I beat assassins creed 2 weeks after that test because of how much I was playing
Seeing Connor do this makes me think of the call of duty mw3 quote “ How quickly they forget that all it takes to the change the course of history, is the WiIl of a single man”.
I have been watching this trailer every few months since 2013. I always seem to remember it at random times. I have never played an Assassins’ Creed game before I just like this trailer that much.
When Connor fires the arrow at the Templar and lands right into the horde of british soldiers, how did he not get stabbed by an upright bayonet, let alone killing every single one of them so he can conveniently watch the Templar die
In the trailer it appears he lands in a gap in the line as shown about 10 seconds earlier before he lands, allowing him a chance to take on nearby british troops and not to mention the Patriots were making a second advance meaning that if they broke their line to deal with Connor they would be slaughtered by the american advance because they could be easily surrounded
Justin8e8(Just A Cardboard Box) I agree, however the Patriots would still have a bit of mess to deal with as they got into the horde to assist Connor. Despite Connor breaking their line and killing a good deal of them, many still remained whom Connor did not rip to pieces. Plus there were also two British ships quite possibly carrying more troops on board. Good for Connor if he got out of the mess alive, but what about everybody else lol??
+*Ezza* Better time to advance then never, remember, these guys already fired a good deal of rounds already, If you look towards the end, as you stated sure, there are alot of british soldiers remaining, but now the americans have a chance to engage in close combat, allowing them to eventually either push the british off the island or kill them all there, and one last thing, their morale is also probably heavily damaged due to the fact not only their line was broken by a single man, but their commander has also been killed as well, similar to in the northern region where american marksmen would aim for the generals rather than the troops then make a quick retrear
Don't recall what the movie was but my family and I saw this trailer at a theater. Mom, being a history nerd was briefly excited, only to see the Assassin and realizing it was a game.

Story time: In 4th grade I told my teacher that this game taught me more about what we were learning than school did so she said if I got a 100 on the next test then I could play assassins creed for homework for the rest of the unit we were on which lasted about 1 and a half more months and lets just say I beat assassins creed 2 weeks after that test because of how much I was playing
best assassins creed trailer no dobt
Except revelations.
+Grim Reaper ikr these were the teo best trailers ever made
Unity cinematic trailer was really good
My favorite is the cinematic trailer for Unity.
Dave Hoffman that one's amazing too I watch that alot
Seeing Connor do this makes me think of the call of duty mw3 quote “ How quickly they forget that all it takes to the change the course of history, is the WiIl of a single man”.
Trailer still looks amazing years later
0:58: me on my way to “talk to” the kids who beat up my little brother
John Wick: I'm the most brutal person you can think of
[Connor Kenway enters chat]
[John Wick leaves chat]
I have been watching this trailer every few months since 2013. I always seem to remember it at random times. I have never played an Assassins’ Creed game before I just like this trailer that much.
This trailer is epic! Best one I've seen for Assassin's Creed. Like if you agree!
Unity was a lot better I think with the French Revolution
Jacob Arnseth Revelations please
Jacob Arnseth The UK version of this trailer is better.
And that one is the best AC trailer.
Connor badass
Dissagree
IT IS 2023 AND IM STILL WATCHING THIS MASTERPIECE OF TRAILER :,)
BECAUSE I SEE IT EVERYDAY MIRRORED IN REAL LIFE.
My brother from the future 🙏
Still Ubisoft's best Assassin's Creed trailer.
It’s been six years and still it feels like I’m watching for the first time.
Best Assassins creed game in my opinion, your surroundings feel more real, and the story is amazing
Conner was the most passonite fighter of all
Itz Wolfy in my opinion ezio is (not trying to argue)
GamingDragon oh stfu
AC3 is one of the best AC
I agree
I agree
brotherhood's better
I'm still hooked to it and still consider it one of the best even after all the newer advanced games
Confused Nigga BH entertain me a lot, but just in some missions, is a good assasins creed, but no the best one
Connor Kenway.
A badass Master Assassin who can take on an army of British Templars.
As well as give the best narratives and speeches.
A+ on History test

Atakan Catakli Nah I don't think Syndicate will be better than Unity.
i thimk so to but no try no taste
Yannick Oliveres Ever thought of Rogue?
Atakan Catakli yea.
I keep coming back to this years later and realize how much of a masterpiece this trailer was .
😂
Imo one of the best all time cinematic trailer for the AC universe.
Connor kenway has one of the best ranks and grew up around an assassin his mother and grew up with the skill of master assassin he's my favorite
Am I the only one who hears both armies shouting "KENWAY!" multiple times in this trailer? 0:59 1:21 1:40
no i hear it to :DD
No 1:21 is," Take aim!" not," Kenway!" but very similar though.
In 0:59 and 1:40 they say "Out of the way"
1:21 they say "Take aim!" i think they say "Engage!' at 1:40
i heard kenway 1:40
Love the idea of all the soldiers watching him like, what is this lunatic doing?
There was this guy who said "Kenway" in 0:59
Thats true
yep
Connor's full name is Connor Kenway.
Requiescat in pace Assassins Creed. I will hold these games fondly until Infinity comes out.
The remaster brought me back here once again
Just bought the Connor Funko Pop and had to come back to this piece of art. Still gives me chills
Still One of the best Trailers of all time and its almost 2017

How is it that this is still better looking than assassin creed shadows 11 years later sad what happen to Ubisoft
+*Ezza* leaving them heavily discouraged to advance
+*Ezza* heavily damaging morale
Don't recall what the movie was but my family and I saw this trailer at a theater. Mom, being a history nerd was briefly excited, only to see the Assassin and realizing it was a game.
Year's later. I still get chills
Who else came here 10 years later?
Love the way George Washington is just like,”damn...”
Luckiest guy in the Trailer:That crouched Redcoat who Connor used as a step stool.
This was the second best trailer for me after Brotherhood. And this trailer alone is more AC than the recent Trashhalla.
Imagine this: ac3 remastered with the rpg element and graphics of today
Who else has come here in 2020 watching this in hype for AC3 Remastered
Ac3 remastered is already out
I liked the conversations between Haytham and Conner. The philosophical conversation during their fight was great.
